I was lucky enough to live a short bike ride away from a shopping mall that happened to have an arcade with a Midnight Carnival cabinet. I fucked around in XX and Accent Core as a teen but I only got balls deep when Xrd dropped. Strive easily has the best visuals, art design, music, online integration, story and other qol features. It just isn't as good of a game as Xrd. But Xrd and XX are dead as fuck so yeah, I'll play Strive. Doesn't have the air combos from back in the day but it is still pretty cool to just be able to match up and play Guilty Gear in less than a minute usually.
