The first tests didn't leave a good taste in most people's mouths, but from what I've heard, the devs have steadily been improving the game and making all the requested changes. Now we're at the open beta which is apparently a massive improvement over previous builds and the game is more like tag Killer Instinct rather than trying to copy shit from other tag fighters. Finally, the game is pretty fucking honest about having some complexity, but without going too far into that deep end and making a fighting game that could only be enjoyed by the most autistic of mahvel players. So you've got Invinciblefags checking the game out (and rage quitting because they're getting wrecked) along with people that like fighting games. Won't be the most popular fighting game, but those factors will guarantee that it'll have some players.

speaking of strong ai, i've been doing SFA3 arcade mode runs on CFC2 and the ai even at the lowest level can be completely fucking insane and only beatable by cheese. i have noticed though its not all the ai, only for certain characters in each arcade mode. like randomly on fight 3 the ai will suddenly become cracked out of its mind and then when you beat it the next few matches are way easier until you hit another wall. its kind of the most insidious quarter draining tactic i've seen yet, worse than snk bosses
