Hey /v/ can you guys recommend a good PC Gaming controller?Pic related....my unc controller got busted (cable at the base)Thinking about going wireless
Your gem of a controller has a wireless version. Here's a picture of me holding mine. It's a classic
>>736790436My nipples look like that
>>736790324ultimate 2c is the best bang for your buck right now
gamesaar
>>736790453Should probably get that checked by a doctor

>>736790324gamesir g7alternatively tegenaria lite if you need symmetrical sticks
>>736790324Im looking for one too, has to be plug n play without any additional shit like xbox controllers and i want it to have gyro for emulation. Was hoping to get that new valve controller, but who the fuck knows when that will come if ever
>>736790324I have that same controller, it's great but I wish it had vibration. Makes playing PSX games a hollow experience.
>>736790324>dat feel when Logitech's ChillStream isn't manufactured anymore
>>736790778Anon... gyro is not a feature that's present in microsoft's xinput API. You're not gonna have a native motion control until xbox adds it (which is never). You need a 3rd party tool (like manufacturer's drivers) to get that.
>>736790324pic related is the safest bet for your average looking for simple plug and play. overpriced, though.
Is the 2C any good for fighting games and shmups? Those are basically the only two genres I play nowadays
is there anything like the switch joycons?
>>736791151What the fuck is a 2C?I play shooters with an arcade stick, and I can't use regular controllers because using your thumb on a D-pad or analog stick just doesn't compare to using your whole hand. I think, at least when it comes to shoot 'em ups, it makes more sense to get used to the keyboard than to try a regular controller.
>>736790324DualSense.
>>736790324just get an xbox or playstation controller
>>736790324Personally, I nabbed an Aolion Q-10 off of Ali recently, since their coupons n' shit made it really cheap. I don't trust the chinese enough to plug any electronics into my actual PC, but I've found it great so far for anything I run off my off-the-network mini PC that I plug into the TV.At least, I recommend that since if you use a F310 as your daily driver, I assume you're a poorfag. I heavily suggest that, if you have the moneys, just go get an Xbox controller. The one for the XSX has an utterly godly D-Pad. It's got a great tactile feel to it, and it uses a design where it's still got the single D-Pad cap, but it's recessed in the center, so it's still better for motion inputs than segmented D-Pads while eliminating any potential misinputs if you like to glide your finger across the center.
>>736790436OH NO, BROS HELP US!
Ole reliable
>>736791151>fighting games and shmups? Those are basically the only two genres I play nowadaysget a fucking arcade stick
>>736790324I sport Dualshock 4 and it works fine. Boughted because it could gyro and analog triggers at the same time. Also the sticks are symmetrical, so you can claw the D-pad with your index. Thinking about getting me a nu-Steam controller once it's released, 'cause it should have even more options for different games, but DualSense should also be solid.
>>736790324I recommend you wait.

>>736793742>Not available in your country
>>736791105>plug and playYou can't abuse it since i had to replace it with a new one because the USB input stopped working. so you Need to occasionally use it wireless
>>736794758Sounds like you're just retarded then.
Vader Pro controllers are genuinely very good. I especially like how the triggers have modes where they can either work normally or you can just "click" them in case a game asks you to mash with L2/R2 or you play a shooter game. Especially good for emulation. The Dpad is also good, handles diagonals well.
>>736790324That one's p good already, but there's the Gamesir Nova Lite if you like the Xbox layout and the Gamesir Tegenaria T3 Lite if you like the Playstation layout. The T3 has no wireless, though.
>>736790324For me, it's the gamesaar
>>736794295You don't do your SRKs with mouse movements bro?
>>736790324I'm also thinking about getting a better one. I have one but it's a bit cheap and shit (still works though). Was thinking about getting a DualSense and a bluetooth adaptor for my PC.
>>736793742DUKE II
>>736790453You should let me suckle on them.
>>736793952You should surely not purchase the one with the joke d-pad sir. It will be fucking unplayable sir.
>>736795247What a tacky piece of shitHow is it that Sony has had basically the same, perfect design since the original dualshock in the late 90s, and nobody else can just make a controller with light buttons, sticks on the bottom and a normal fucking d-pad??? All i want is a dualshock but better built, more reliable long term. Not a brick with mushy buttons and a fully exposed circular d-pad that's fucked for diagonals.
Is there any controller with a good dpad? Ive been using the switch pro but the dpad is so fucked that pressing any horizontal button might also register a vertical one.
>>736797529Thing is there are various patents regarding D-pads and controllers in general held by Nintendo, Sony etc so you can't "just" put a "normal" d-pad on your controller, you need to come up with your own wacky version of a d-pad to not violate any patents.

>>736790324What you posted is literally peakThere is nothing better.
>>736790324My Boomerism is being completely overwhelmed by how many controllers there are now. When did there become controllers other than Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, and Madcatz?
>>736797995Wrong
>>736790324I have the most basic 8bitdo controller and it just werks
>PowerA Symmetric Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S - Blue, Officially licensed, Inline Thumbstick Layout, Windows 10/11 compatible, Dual Rumble Motors, Impulse Triggers, 3.5 mm Audio JackIt's decent, and cheap. I don't like how PlayStation controllers feel. I don't like the asymmetry of Xbox controllers. This is a decent compromise.
>>736797950bro those look even worse. the last good dpad, besides the ps4 one, was the raijuu ultimate edition but the controller had other issues.
>>736793742This or gulikit tt max>>736791473>>736791762Retards>>736793970
I got a RAZER one that is good, very low latency. I put duct tape round the handles though because the raised pattern grip collected sweat and made it smell : /
thoughts on this one? looks quite decent
>>736790324been using a tegenaria lite for a few months now and it's pretty goodI only wish it was a bit larger and heavier but for the price it's a stealI had an ultimate c before that but I started having issues with it about a month after I got it
>>736798562thats a big dpad
>>736790324I have a Genius Maxfire Blaze 3It's... 15 years old or some shit and works fine lmao
>>736794295Zeno Clash
>>736790324Here you go anon! It's wireless, cheap, and it is perfect for the type of games you like.
>>736801126looks like the gamecube prototype
>>736790473I'll never not laugh at that name. I bought one, it ended up crashing against the wall when the software kept fucking up connection. Was nice to hold, but I went back to xbox wired
Any anons with a Rainbow 3 or Blitz 2? The gyro on my Rainbow 3 seems to randomly drift on Dualsense Edge mode and I'm not finding any settings to fix it, nor does calibration help. I've seen these recommended for gyro, so I assume there's something I'm missing (or it's only the Blitz 2 gyro that's good and Rainbow 3's has problems?)Switch mode's gyro works fine, but that isn't compatible with the dongle and loses full button remapping.
>>736790324I love this dude but I'm still mad at what they did to the shoulder buttons, why are they so fucking tiny and why are the triggers so uncomfortable too. The Dual Action they made before had them right, why did they fuck up like this?Anyway, for another PS style controller like that there's >>736790473 or its cousin Tegenaria Lite. Please redeem
>>736794295P4AU
>>7367903248bitdo gang
>>736790324You're going to love the experience of playing on a new controller after the F310. It's a dinosaur with huge square deadzones which you don't realize are the problem with your games until you pick up a good controller. I had one for years and years and didn't know how bad I had it.
If the Tegenaria Lite is still cheap you should probably get it OP. Wired > wireless, and the sticks being hall effect means it will outlast the living shit out of a modern console controller.
>>736790324Also going to throw my hat in with Gamesaar>>736801908>>736802681Been using the Tegenaria for about a month now after a recommendation in a previous thread and been liking it. Had a weird trigger issue where they'd constantly be 1% activated but it was just me needing to reset it. For the price, it's solid desu.
>>736802856It's by far not the best budget controller anymore, I had that one for a while. I genuinely was 50/50 on whether /v/ was just full of jeet bots shilling scamware for a company calling itself "Gamesir", but I tossed 20 bucks at the T3 Lite just to see and it's actually real and it genuinely demolishes Logitech's dinosaur tech.
>>736792512GEM!!
the only thing I do not like about it are the face buttons. They are short very press' with a soft click so if almost feels like it's got eternal sticky buttons
>>736797132It comes with 2 other swappable d-pads, I think.
>>736793742>$120 >for hardly no bonus features outside of dual trackpads, no bumper adjustments or extra buttons OOOF
>>736803507Four back buttons, nevermind the trackpads alone are a huge feature
>>736803229Logitech F310 posting is kinda like how /v/ has lots of people that think 2.4ghz receivers on mice are the same shit laggy wireless tech as IR sensor bars that enveloped your whole desk, F310's mark in history is it was an option during a period where PC didn't have any good controller options without doing wizardry to get a PS3 controller working
>>736803507If 2 trackpads are a negligible feature for you I wouldn't get it either.
>>736803870you can use it for games such as uh.... hm...
>>736803840Lmao, absolutely. I had an F710 in 2012 and it was ass even back then, I swapped it with a wired 360 controller which mogged it.
>>736804107Anything first-person or a shooter because they substitute for a mouse. I don't really know why I would need two though.
>>736804353ergonomics basically
>>736790324I really liked the Dual Sense but after two of them drifted on me I got the one this guy said>>736790457and I bought two of them since they are cheap for when one breaks. After months of Night Reign and 3 weeks of Crimson Desert both of which require pressing the sticks constantly, I have zero drift and zero issuesIt is WILD to me a controller I got for 24 dollars is of much much much higher quality than a 70 dollar Playstation 1st party product.
Who the fuck are buying these shitty third party controllers?
>>736805318>first party stick drift after 1 monthWho the fuck keeps giving these companies money?
>>736805318Show me a Hall Effect or TMR 1st party controller
>>736790324I recommend the xbox series controller because it has a really nice clicky dpad and I fucking love clicky dpads and no other modern controller comes close
>>736805318I stopped having money to give $150 to tech companies every year for a fresh controller when they drift on me, so I finally gave in to the cheap shit and they were both better and cheaper. Fuck 1st-party controllers, it's a massive scam industry.
>>736803507>>736793742this, it'll be massively overpriced. just buy the 8bitdo ultimate if you want a controller with lots of features, or any other recently release chink controller really
Tegenaria Lite. New color releases Apr-May.
>>736805318Nobody buys logitech anymore, but companies like 8BitDo and even Gamesaar are unironically miles ahead of PS5/Xbox controllers. If you buy first party controllers in the current year you're retarded and buying inferior products
>>736801126hey that's the one i use to play death knight!
The chairman.
I thought the next generation of first party controllers was going to fix many issues but I don't think it's happeningThe Switch 2 Pro controller still uses the same drift-prone sticks as the Switch 1 version. Also still uses the same god awful d-pad
>>736805318>pay upwards of $100 for a first party controller that shits the bed in a month of useOr>pay $40-50 or even less for a controller that will last at least 6 months of daily use and usually even more
>>736805441nintendo was legitimately really close, they had ferrofluid HE sticks patented along with other switch 2 shitthen they settled for a dust guard insert on the stick cap lol
>>736805790riced mine out with some magnetic Playstation symbol buttons from Etsy and some knockoff Dualsense Edge stick caps from amazon for the dog-nose convex tops. love it
>>736803507Gaben giveth more than he taketh.
>>736803507>$120>Source: I made it upIt'll most likely be $80 max considering the first one was $50.
>>736802978Trackpads are for White people though. Nighers lack the intelligence to take full advantage of them.>>736804353>I don't really know why I would need two though. The left one is great as a touch menu. Aim with right and swap weapons with left for example.
>>736808326>Source: I made it upuntil gaben stops being a massive pussy and starts telling people what the price is then it's all up in the air
>>736790324I got a Gamesir G7 and it's been great
Why do people have such hate boners for 8bitdo and Gamesir? Is it because they have never used one?I am genuinely baffled how a $25 8bitdo controller can feel so premium and have such great battery life. It honestly feels at least on par with any PS or Xbox controller I've had, but for a third of the price. I understand saying you prefer sticking with what you know and to go first party, but I don't understand claiming they are shit controllers.
>>736809267But 8bitdo gets praised everywhre.
>>736809267The "people" you think you are talking to are literal bots that just spam they like [insert first party they are advertising for here] best and third party is shit over and over because it is easy to convince people only "official" is owrth buying and it conversely serves as good third party shill bait who will infight over whether or not purplechinaman is a better brand than currypowderdeluxe for knocks offs, which just makes both of them seem retarded compared to the guy that just says "buy official or not at all" over and over.
>>736790324It's time to pay respects
>>736805318China has completely taken over the peripheral market. They shit out controllers and mice that have better features than traditional brands while also being cheaper.
hunter 360
Dualshock 4There is no second best
>>736804108F710 is biggest piece of shit Logitech ever created. I have two and both lose input all the time. I will never buy anything from Logitech again.
>>736790324Shit i used to have that exact one.It stopped working out of warranty period and they sent me a new one when I asked on their forum for fixes.
>>736809267It's because they're the predominant third party brands and /v/ is full of children, contrarians, and contrarian children8bitdo hate got so forced that a certain variant of the brand name with "chink" added either auto-bans you if you try to post it here or gets counted as spam, forget which it was
>>736792908Would be a great design if not for that fucktarded inside out d-pad.

>>736819714works on my machine
>>736790324Why not just buy another F310? Or maybe an F510? Logitech is still making these things and it's not like newer gamepads have extra features. Also you might still be able to save your current one by just wrapping the wire around the pad so it's pinched downards or upwards(test both). Picrel.
>>736802346as long as you dont need the D-pad its fine.. if you do then well.. you'r fucked becasue its awful.its so bad i ended up just buying a M30 to play castlevania with instead.
>>736798562I still cant believe these ugly chinkshit third party garbage cost as much as they do20 dollar controller at best
>>736801126
>>736821858I like that "good mood" is a feature when I use a PS5 controller I can only feel like it wants to kill itself while I'm playing.

>>736790324I used an xbox one controller for years but it was fucking terrible.i originally used it wired but the usb port was super loose and the controller would disconnect constantly if you didn't focus on keeping the controller completely still.then i tried to use it wirelessly over bluetooth but it would constantly drop inputs and was even less usable than wiredi recently bought a gamesir nova lite 2 and the controller is ok i guessthe wireless mode (2.4ghz) is also unreliable and prone to disconnects so I'm using it wired and it seems fine for now,but i'm worried it'll degrade over timekinda wish i bought a fixed wired controller but they're all stuck in the super budget market and therefore lack features like back buttons and have shitty sensors
Are there any good third-party N64 controllers out there or should I just get an official one with an adapter?
>>736826643there's no third party brand making N64 controllers, the closest you will get is Sega Saturn 3D controller clones
>>736790324Get an official xbox 360 wired controller. Lasts about 8 years.
>>736826975why would you buy that trash instead of the newer xbox series controller
>>736825894Looks pretty good. Wonder if the extra buttons are fully remappable via the Sony input mode.
Have a Vader 4 Pro and just picked up a Vader 5 Pro. Noticed the face buttons are notably heavier/more stiff. Also, the right thumbstick has issues clicking in/down when held all the way north/up, which isn't an issue on the 4. Reminds me of the Xbox Elite controllers that had the same issues with clicking in/down when moved all the way out.IDK, may return this shit in a few days.
>>736790324SN30 PRO 3 8bitdo hands down the most comfy controller i have used
>>736801674Did some reading, the same gyro drift exists on Blitz 2's Dualsense Edge mode but is fixed through Steam Input by forcing 500Hz gyro polling, which Steam might do on its own now as well since their developers were aware of it. Unsure if there's an option outside of Steam Input for this, setting the controller itself to 500Hz via software or USB downclock doesn't affect the gyro.
