Anon... gyro is not a feature that's present in microsoft's xinput API. You're not gonna have a native motion control until xbox adds it (which is never). You need a 3rd party tool (like manufacturer's drivers) to get that.

>>
is there anything like the switch joycons?
>>
>>736791151
What the fuck is a 2C?
I play shooters with an arcade stick, and I can't use regular controllers because using your thumb on a D-pad or analog stick just doesn't compare to using your whole hand. I think, at least when it comes to shoot 'em ups, it makes more sense to get used to the keyboard than to try a regular controller.

>>736790324
Personally, I nabbed an Aolion Q-10 off of Ali recently, since their coupons n' shit made it really cheap. I don't trust the chinese enough to plug any electronics into my actual PC, but I've found it great so far for anything I run off my off-the-network mini PC that I plug into the TV.

At least, I recommend that since if you use a F310 as your daily driver, I assume you're a poorfag. I heavily suggest that, if you have the moneys, just go get an Xbox controller. The one for the XSX has an utterly godly D-Pad. It's got a great tactile feel to it, and it uses a design where it's still got the single D-Pad cap, but it's recessed in the center, so it's still better for motion inputs than segmented D-Pads while eliminating any potential misinputs if you like to glide your finger across the center.

I sport Dualshock 4 and it works fine. Boughted because it could gyro and analog triggers at the same time. Also the sticks are symmetrical, so you can claw the D-pad with your index. Thinking about getting me a nu-Steam controller once it's released, 'cause it should have even more options for different games, but DualSense should also be solid.

Vader Pro controllers are genuinely very good. I especially like how the triggers have modes where they can either work normally or you can just "click" them in case a game asks you to mash with L2/R2 or you play a shooter game. Especially good for emulation. The Dpad is also good, handles diagonals well.
>>

What a tacky piece of shit
How is it that Sony has had basically the same, perfect design since the original dualshock in the late 90s, and nobody else can just make a controller with light buttons, sticks on the bottom and a normal fucking d-pad??? All i want is a dualshock but better built, more reliable long term. Not a brick with mushy buttons and a fully exposed circular d-pad that's fucked for diagonals.
>>
Is there any controller with a good dpad? Ive been using the switch pro but the dpad is so fucked that pressing any horizontal button might also register a vertical one.
>>
>>736797529
Thing is there are various patents regarding D-pads and controllers in general held by Nintendo, Sony etc so you can't "just" put a "normal" d-pad on your controller, you need to come up with your own wacky version of a d-pad to not violate any patents.

Any anons with a Rainbow 3 or Blitz 2? The gyro on my Rainbow 3 seems to randomly drift on Dualsense Edge mode and I'm not finding any settings to fix it, nor does calibration help. I've seen these recommended for gyro, so I assume there's something I'm missing (or it's only the Blitz 2 gyro that's good and Rainbow 3's has problems?)
Switch mode's gyro works fine, but that isn't compatible with the dongle and loses full button remapping.

You're going to love the experience of playing on a new controller after the F310. It's a dinosaur with huge square deadzones which you don't realize are the problem with your games until you pick up a good controller. I had one for years and years and didn't know how bad I had it.
>>
If the Tegenaria Lite is still cheap you should probably get it OP. Wired > wireless, and the sticks being hall effect means it will outlast the living shit out of a modern console controller.
>>
>>736790324

>>736802856
It's by far not the best budget controller anymore, I had that one for a while. I genuinely was 50/50 on whether /v/ was just full of jeet bots shilling scamware for a company calling itself "Gamesir", but I tossed 20 bucks at the T3 Lite just to see and it's actually real and it genuinely demolishes Logitech's dinosaur tech.

Why do people have such hate boners for 8bitdo and Gamesir? Is it because they have never used one?
I am genuinely baffled how a $25 8bitdo controller can feel so premium and have such great battery life. It honestly feels at least on par with any PS or Xbox controller I've had, but for a third of the price. I used an xbox one controller for years but it was fucking terrible.
i originally used it wired but the usb port was super loose and the controller would disconnect constantly if you didn't focus on keeping the controller completely still.
then i tried to use it wirelessly over bluetooth but it would constantly drop inputs and was even less usable than wired
i recently bought a gamesir nova lite 2 and the controller is ok i guess
the wireless mode (2.4ghz) is also unreliable and prone to disconnects so I'm using it wired and it seems fine for now,but i'm worried it'll degrade over time
kinda wish i bought a fixed wired controller but they're all stuck in the super budget market and therefore lack features like back buttons and have shitty sensors

Have a Vader 4 Pro and just picked up a Vader 5 Pro. Noticed the face buttons are notably heavier/more stiff.
Also, the right thumbstick has issues clicking in/down when held all the way north/up, which isn't an issue on the 4. Reminds me of the Xbox Elite controllers that had the same issues with clicking in/down when moved all the way out.
IDK, may return this shit in a few days.

Did some reading, the same gyro drift exists on Blitz 2's Dualsense Edge mode but is fixed through Steam Input by forcing 500Hz gyro polling, which Steam might do on its own now as well since their developers were aware of it. Unsure if there's an option outside of Steam Input for this, setting the controller itself to 500Hz via software or USB downclock doesn't affect the gyro.
