Namco clearly wants this series to be a lot more successful than it is, and they've tried a bunch of console, handheld and even phone games to see if any work. I know which Tales games I'd like them to take from, but at this point, just making a new one at all would be nice.

The stories are usually just pretty serviceable with a few exceptions, but the biggest selling point of the series is the fun casts of characters and the skit system. No other JRPG series captures this essence of feeling like you're hanging out with the cast of the game you're playing quite like Tales.
