For example, Metropolis Street Racer. Here just one song from that game (and yes, it's from TJ Davis who was also on the Sonic R soundtrack)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmCpQXNGq40What are some other games that are essentially albums with a video game attached. Doesn't matter how old, new, familiar or obscure that game is.

Oh well. I'll try again a different day. Thanks for trying everyone.
>>736821137I appreciated the attempt at the thread. Just wanted to chime in that I loved the game and liked the fact that you can listen to the soundtrack on any CD player.
>>736821597I actually stumbled on this OST at work last week. Sometimes I listen to video game OSTs and for a little bit I've been on a retro kick (mostly SEGA stuff). This popped up:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEYpecXHSAMI never got to play this, but I do still have a working Dreamcast. If I ever find this game, I'm buying it instantly.
One that I think about now and then is Intelligent Qube.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYXbMI8qFsUFor such an inconspicious puzzle game, the soundtrack is this somehow incredibly intense orchestral ensemble that wouldn't have been out of place in a prestige JRPG of the era, or even a hollywood blockbuster of the time.>>736819081>>736822275MSR really is a little gem. The TJ Davis songs are like a B-Side for the Sonic R soundtrack.

>>736819081neotokyo. majority of the album is kino and isnt featured in the gamehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Y5LvNEFNrEalso that msr ost is giving me gran turismo 3/4 vibes. solid shit right there.
N20 for PS1 had a bunch of tracks by The Crystal Method. It's how I discovered them. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdWdUi0jgocpzNt8OBCuf_qk-wreRjx_H
>>736822834I just looked at some gameplay. This might actually have been made as an orchestral score for a movie or something and they put it on that game since the movie deal feel through or something. I'm sure the game is good though, just that OST feels like it'd have been an nominee for "best score in a feature film" at the Oscars (in a good way).>>736823058I literally bought R4 only because of the soundtrack. I'm glad I did it and the game is itself is fun too.

>>736819081Madworld for the Wii. The biggest song is problem "Ain't that funny" but I like this one.https://youtu.be/ZE6PyMcbxwcFull OST: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2CD1114090D4149C
>this thread>these responsesI think I know whats been missing in modern games these day. Thank you.
Man I was thinking of that game but kept confusing it with the Tokyo one that just got a remake. Thanks for the nostalgia. I remember playing that and being amazed at the graphics back in the day

>>736825519THANK YOU! I've been trying to remember what this game was called for years! I played it on a demo disc, played it all the time with my friend and I distinctly remember this song.
I've always been very fond of the Muppet Racemania soundtrack. It's a treat if you like strings, banjos and brass, but dips its toes into a couple of other areas. Overall a light and breezy soundtrack that fits the variety-show chaos of the show.https://youtu.be/gW9IGUUed2o?si=ARl9mp_TWXAavsKJhttps://youtu.be/YMtLWCfmbdI?si=LHyTMM_SYWX0gGnJhttps://youtu.be/i7LjF8bN6Jc?si=XRLSutfjak_t45WeDefinitely better than it had any right to be.>>736823058I say this chest held high: Ridge Racer 4's soundtrack is easily one of the greatest of all time. A shoe-in for top 10 and a strong contender for top 3, easily.Literally the only questionable song is the bonus Pac Man one (and that's just because the sharp chiptune instruments kinda clash with the jazzy, DnB vibe of the rest of the soundtrack), but most people will probably never encounter that in a normal play session.
>>736819081what car is this? it looks like a lotus elise but it isn't
>>736823547>>736823930>>736823327I miss when stuff like this was synonymous with PlayStation. It was basically Sony directly taking on SEGA, but with their own kind of twist on things, but I miss this PlayStation.
Going loud in Intravenous as the music kicks in is incredibly funhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59V8OXu3JY0>>736819081Great thread, OP
>>736819081Pick any Sonic game (except Chronicles) from the Genesis up to Forces. I think even Frontiers might even still fit. Sonic 3 literally had Michael Jackson and Brad Buxer on it which is why they had to replace the music in some of the tracks for the Sonic Origins.
>>736826398Honestly I'm just glad the thread got a rebound. You and the other replies are why the thread was good, so I thank you making it that way.
