So much of Tinkerer just makes it hard to work.Half of its abilities will cause self-damage. These are supposed to synergize with its armoring abilities, but half of them just suck ass (Fresh off the Forge, Unreliable Shield Generator) and others require you to NOT equip your cat with armor so you can make use of its crafted armor... which are complete trash without Tech. And that's assuming you actually have an armor-crafting ability to begin with.But wait, if you have Tech to make the good armor, you can bypass all that garbage and just craft an actual fucking weapon instead.

The game has a difficulty scaling problem. I feel that the further you get into the game, the more reliant on items you become. If you win a chain of runs you will accumulate enough carry-over items to be indestructable but if you decide to have fun and experiment, die and have those items all wiped at once, you are back to square 1 where you need to build up from Act 1.In general, I just hate how item-centric the game is, it's very tedious to constantly be fucking around with equipment

Haven't played much act 3 yet. Have the heart trying to finish the quest. Seems like every single time I get to the boss it's always Spewer. Not really sure how to deal with this pussy. He gets multiple turns every single round, almost always gets both pills (or atleast 1), and just shits out damage, tiles, everywhere, and almost always moves out of my way so I can't even attack. Which only leads to even more moves and damage for him. Annoying fucker

Like Wildermyth, its a game where things start stacked in your favour and the longer a battle/campaign goes on the more the game retracts that handicap until you are at a massive disadvantage and its down to how prepared you were for “the real game”. Fundamentally different games, especially since the way turns work is different and how each piece you control serves far more functions than say a chess bishop
