I finally got around to a few real time action jrpgs this weekend. Played the first 2 - 4 hours of each1. Star Ocean 62. Tales of Arise3. YS X Nordics4. Granblue fantasy relinkSurprised by how astonishingly shit or mediocre they all are. These are games for babbies

Relink is the only good game on this list but the actual game is found in post, which sucks.
Tales of Arise made trannies seethes and that alone made it a must buy for me, despite how average the game was

Granblue Relink generally has you at the right level just playing normally. Tales of Arise is the opposite where it's normally piss easy until you set the difficulty too high and it becomes impossible.
>>736827542I didn't play SO6 but I'd rank them Proud Nordics(this is different from regular Nordics)>GBF>Arise. None of them were really that great. Ys seriously keeps getting worse with time, 4,7.9, and 10 were all pretty bland. Arise gets way worse as you play it too, it peaks VERY early on.
If you've played Persona 5, you could try out Strikers. It's a musou but I feel like its combat is what 3D Tales and Ys have been trying to achieve for a decade.

SO6 is weird because it gets better when it clicks and you start swapping characters for combos and you get actual moves, but trudging through the start sucks and it has weird mechanics like the stamina bar for attacks that raises when you do certain actions, except the bar resets to its lowest value when you load a save.
