People read one book (or more likely, watch one youtube video), and think they understand how the world works. Game dialog writers are the last people who should be trying to preach their politics.

Why do people have no media literacy and conflate an opinion being presented as part of a narrative with preaching and endorsing that opinion.Also, eve' if the character expressing their opinions is painted as overall positive, it doesn't inherently mean "this opinion/philosophy is right because this character is good!"
