Mark has to have his tantrum over Cecil reforming villains and breaks up with him despite the impending invasion of Viltrumites. Mark doesn't get the luxury of dropping his best method for getting stronger just because he hates the idea of these guys reforming and getting second chances. And Cecil has to be written like an idiot with preserving Conquest without taking anywhere near adequate precautions (we encased him in metal and the area will explode, that'll take out a planet busting Viltrumite!).
