I miss my bouncing bullets pistol stealth build, with insane crit damage. It was so incredible. When I returned for Phantom Liberty, they had rebalanced the game and made bouncing bullets only work for ARs and SMGs. It was one of my favorite builds of any sci-fi RPG

I think the idea is that if Smasher is hunting you, he's doing it with the backing of Arasaka's whole intel network and anything money can buy, so it's implied he's going to be a cut above any runners by a far distance, and he would show up when the party is doomed. Basically, he's to 0unish players who develop a god complex and stop hiding - Adam will find you, then him and however big an army he thinks he needs will find you. If you live in respectful fear of consequences the GM does not sic the guy on you.In the game, Adam fights V solo with no plan nor prep and unaware that V is 80% cyborg himself.I think when you look at David's fight he had the advantage until he got too close to Smasher and Smasher broke his locomotion. David was flipping his shit and not thinking strategically, though.

He has stats jacked to the tits sure, and if your party runs into him too early then yeah you are probably fucked (although you would have to be a giant Asshole to run Firestorm Shockwave with a low level party), but Smasher is clearly designed to be killable. If he wasn’t it would kind of make the final mission of Firestorm totally pointless.
