I would change the ranch to a garage and make epona a motorcycle, honestly.

Add some secret goodies that can be gotten my using the Ice Arrows to make ice platforms like in Majora.
I also want to date Saria but I know it won't happen.

More complex 3D spaces now that people are more familiar with navigating 3D spaces in games and controllers have gyroscopes that make 3D navigation actually possible without extensively relying on Z-targeting or fixed cameras.

Make it more opener and more worlder
Shield encourages low skill gameplay. Need to remove shield and add a parry mechanic with dodge rolling
Only like 4 swords in the whole game. This is pretty low by modern standards. They should add more loot drops to keep the game interesting.
Need more cosmetic options

The only thing I'd change is the fight with Ganondorf. When I was a kid I felt it was a bit anti climactic to do the tennis boss fight. The final fight with Ganon makes up for it tho I just wish every part of the climax was as exciting.

>Hire a company who knows how to design medieval-fantasy adventure combat to rework it

That's about it. I'm not a huge fan of OoT, but I don't really want to see it changed to the point of being unrecognizable, I.E. FFVIIR.

FF7R is so good

simply more game. expand it. add secrets. Maybe a whole second quest.

very little. The tweaks they made in the 3DS version e.g. making iron boots a normal item instead of equipment and adding colour coding to the water temple were basically all that was needed.
More buttons you can equip items to is the only thing I can really think of, though that's more a problem with MM that OoT, it wouldn't hurt.
Redone music and stuff like that is cool as long as you can also select the originals.
Maybe more secret fish and lures in the fishing game. why not.

Two things (arguably three):
>keep the Hyrule Field track for Kid Link, but swap it out for the Termina Field track for Adult Link
>restore the Gerudo crescents, as well as the Muezzin noises in the Fire Temple track
>>
Eh, just improve the animations, lighting and loading times, I don't see a reason to change anything, well maybe allow us to cancel some animations like when you open a chest and play a song, those are fine the first few times but they get old real fast.

Ruto with nipples. It also needs two more full-size dungeons added to the future era, I'm not picky how. They could stand to add some item upgrades for high rupee costs to give the big wallet and various late-game rupee rewards a purpose(higher speed or damage, at the very least). Acknowledge the Loach properly.

I think it should be open world, with cool secrets all over the map. Maybe we could have rap battles with random NPCs for some rupees. things like that.

Add sex with Epona

Unironically, if you're going to remake it, it has to be a brand new game. Keep the core concepts of the original, but it needs to be modern and new and massively changed.

I say this as a 40 year old boomer who played it when before most people posting on this board were born Just doing another "remaster" like the 3DS version is pointless I've played OoT more times than I can count and I don't have a problem with a full remake of the game as long as it's done well
>>
>>736873687
Dude shut up. Stop using your fucking age as a point of authority, we all fucking played OoT. Most whites here are over 30.

Take heavy inspiration from the 64DD development and make Hyrule as originally intended. Look at the Gigaleak maps. Hyrule was going to be HUGE. This would lend well to a more modern open world exploration, but keep it still difinitavely OOT.

Keep existing spells, but also have equipable medallions with their own spells. Yes that would mean recreating new spells for Forest, Fire and Water. Other ones keep their original spells and have their uses in the overworld/in combat. They can all be combined with arrows as originally intended.

Dungeons are thematically the same, just re-built to be bigger and something new. A couple of new ones would be nice. Maybe some more optional mini-dungeons, Light Temple that can act final trial for Adult Link before he gets the Medallion, which could then lead directly to the Zelda Cutscene and gives Link access to Light Arrows. Again maybe a couple of optional full dungeons with neat rewards if you choose to do them.

New areas in Hyrule. Maybe Ice Cavarn is replaced with Hebra Mountain and a new complete dungeon (Keep Ice Cavern in there too) Maybe shit north of the castle to show where Zelda hid and be a fun little lore tie-in to TP. Castle Sewers was also intended to escape the castle originally, which they repurposed into the Well, but they could recreate ideas like that to flesh out the game and story.
Voice acted and more cinematic cut-scenes, but please Nintendo get decent VA's.

Update combat to something between TP and BOTW. Yes also give us learnable moves like TP.

>>736873017
Oh, a wiseguy I see. In that case, the Loach is getting nipples too.
>>
>>736863301
There might be too many ideas taken from social media desu.
If I were in charge of an OOT remake at Nintendo, I'd set out to make a faithful remake within a set period of time. Like get as far as you can in a year on an OOT remake.
Then asses the project and question whether it could be evolved like ALBW had evolved from an ALTTP remake.
Repeat as necessary, but set some real time constraints.

Hopefully ending up with a game that recaptures the magic of OOT, while being something new.
There are plenty of new gameplay ideas from the BOTW/TOTK/EoW games, and really all the previous entries to look back on.
>>
>>736873867
Ok, disregard it. My point stands, I've played OoT enough times to not want to play the exact same thing again. I'm fine with a full remake even if it's a very different game. I trust Nintendo to not fuck it up too much.

There's no real way to modernize OoT without changing the level design massively, and at that point you're essentially just making a new game. I think it's basically just going to be the premise of OoT but within the framework of BotW. There will be proper dungeons and child/adult Link, but besides that I suspect its going to be pretty non-linear. You will have to beat the child dungeons to reach the adult dungeons, and the adult dungeons to reach Ganon's castle, but besides that it's gonna be very BotW, the original OoT already let you beat some dungeons out of order and I think they'll lean even more into that
>>
>>736872023
I like these ideas, though upgrading shields probably doesn't need to be a thing
>>
>>736863301
Make Link right-handed
>>
I replayed it somewhat recently, honestly, it's still a great game, only update teh graphics ad that could be it
That said, add the missing temple, and make the temples bigger I guess, that's it, maybe make the cities bigger, and fill them up so there's an actual loss sense in the game when time traveling

basically just shin and polishe what was already unpolished due to limitations

Greatly expand the map. Every location should feel much larger and have a lot of stuff going on, not only in regards to geographic features (farms, guard towers, dungeons, fortresses and general infrastructure), but also NPCs and new sidequests. Have something like caravans in Hyrule field traveling across key locations, like Kakariko, Lon Lon Ranch and Lake Hylia sending goods to Castle Market. Some military outposts and maybe a few camps for travelers. 7 years later most of this stuff is replaced by monsters roaming across the land, ruins with minidungeons and small groups of survivors having their last stands. It would be cool if they implemented something like the Bomber's notebook for tracking more complex sidequests built around a weekly schedule and the timeskip mechanics.
>>
>>736875460
Dude ofc they're gonna fuck it up. It needs to be extremely faithful to the original. Not trying to be contrarian but; here are some important points: There cannot be a single new track in the soundtrack, there cannot be ANY new characters "durr remember me" shit, they can flesh out some existing npcs, but dont do that thing where they turn the suicidal pale dude into like a prominent side character either. LOCATIONS must greatly resemble the original. The game must make a large amount of reference to the original.
>>
>>736866024
samussisters they're mocking us again
>>
>>736873687
I'm thinking more in the sense that the RE Remake was the same game, but a totally expanded game at the same time.
The dream would be a full new set of dungeons, but more realistically, they could make two for child Link, and two for adult Link.
>>
>>736876956
Link got a bike first, then Mario, then Kirby got a Car, and much later Samus.
>>
>>736876956
I was being genuine, I would rather have a motorcycle than a horse. Imagine there being sheika technology around in Oot, and there being a facility in the middle of hyrule field that works with it to produce devices like that.
>>
>>736877236
I mean I want things to be similar, but expanded like you said. I'd like the Temples to have some new twists, some new areas, some new puzzles, something new so that I'm not just speedrunning through the same shit with the same items knowing exactly where to go and what to do in what order for the 20th time I've played the same game.

Like the Ice Cavern for example, expand it into a full fledge dungeon with instead of a simple miniboss at the end an actual boss. There's definitely areas they can easily improve the game.
