but unironically what did she mean by this? shuichi implies heavily that tsumugi said this line, because she copied someone's actions in real life. so a real life junko enoshima. shuichi said this would mean that the shown footage of everyone willingly agreeing to participate in the killing game was just fake, which we know is the case from the prologue. okay, so the outside world is not as peaceful as tsumugi described. it's not total apocalypse, children can go to school and stuff but an organization exists which kidnaps children from across japan, overwrites their memories, puts them in a killing game and broadcasts it to people without them getting stopped by the police or similar probably thanks to bribes. in a world like that it isn't too impossible to imagine that junko existed in the past and tsumugi made the game danganronpa 1 based on junko's killing game, which happened in real life. it sounds plausible, what I'm thinking is though what's the point of writing this copycat line. I guess it does open up the possibility (I would say that it's even heavily implying it) of dr 1 to be real? because at least junko had to have existed and done a broadcasted killing game for her to be a copycat. what I don't know is whether it logically it follows that dr 2 and dr 3 are also real? I guess it kind of follows that they're also real because they entail the story of how the world achieved peace after the junko era. so what? danganronpa 1-3 are games and anime made by tsumugi based on historical events? she lied to us for no reason that they're fiction too but the viewers at home know that they're real events? she also lied about us voluntarily joining the killing game solely for a bit more despair fuel? seems a bit pointless and more like weak writing. so where does this leave shuichi and co.? they're gonna go to a world where evil organizations like team danganronpa exist and post-remnants of despair like mugi exist? cont.

it seems like there would be definitely ways for the story to continue from v3 in a story where they go around the world trying to stop organizations like team danganronpa from making their killing games I guess, but I don't think that'd make for a good game. considering how v3 is chronologically far after the real events of dr2, I don't think shuichi will be meeting hajime any time soon.
