>>736870795If you're in ng+ try red iron twin blade. Bandit axe is worse damage but it has a beautiful 180 degree swing that sweeps away trash mobs like nothing else. Once you get to ng+ 2 or 3 you really gotta have that ice rapier in the back for boss killing there's no getting around it. Ideally one electric, one dark, one fire, and one magic. Buff with corresponding spells. You want to have a big, wide non optimized build for many options to play upon enemy weaknesses. Ice rapier is the highest dps but it's bad against groups of enemies. On NG you can run whatever.

>>736870795The last time I did a replay I ended up with five old whips from the crows. So I slapped all those on (cause they break stupid fast) and had a good time. Partizan as my backup. I always thought DS2 was geared towards using blunt weapons though cause of how often you fight something wearing armor.

i recently did a hex build and i honestly think it puts the rapier to shame. you can even infuse the rapier with dark and buff it with dark weapon to further fuck the game.really liked how any build worked, Miyazaki is the fun police and restricts builds that dont fall into his autism.
