Even though every foundational success in the industry has been the product of one writing team getting to tell a story from start to finish, they've settled on a model of ping-ponging from writer to writer in the middle of storylines and fucking shit up grievously by forcing multiple different runs by multiple different authors to converge and agree.It never works. Guys like Jack Kirby, Frank Miller, Paul Dini, and Alan Moore created all the stories and characters they constantly recapitulate and rework because they had enough freedom to tell complete stories without having them derailed by some new guy taking over before the arc was finished.
