Is there any room for innovation anymore in the platforming genre?
Yeah
Not really, but that's fine. All a 3D platformer needs is:>fun movement>well designed levels that incorporate that fun movement>things to collect to satiate our autism
Idk
>>736872951Probably not. Boomers and Gen X are too old to be creative anymore and soillennials/zoomies have already proven that they are creatively bankrupt.
>>736874613Coming up with creative ideas shouldn’t be too difficult. Implementing them well is a different story entirely.
>>736872951I wish there were vr platformers, feels like there’s a lot of untapped potential there
>>736875926Ah yes, vomit simulators
I’ve thought about a possibly 4d platformer before but it always just sounds a 3d platformer with a world shifting gimmick
>>736876385Maybe it could have a time travel gimmick with dawn/day/evening/night/dusk cycles
