There's worse plot holes in the game>Pinkertons discover Dutch's gang at Clemen's Point>Just walk into camp armed, threaten Dutch, then walk awayExplain why? You're in their shoes. Dutch's gang is responsible for the Blackwater massacre. From what I can remember, been a while since I played the game, 30+ people died in that shootout and Dutch executed an innocent woman. They are WANTED MURDERERS. If you, as Arthur, step FOOT inside Blackwater's region, you have entire posses of 10+ riders that will shoot you on sight! That's how serious they take Dutch's gang, they will literally murder the first person they just think is part of Dutch's gang without any questions asked, they don't even hold you up, they shoot first ask questions later! These are Pinkertons and the local law enforcement, the massacre was that bad that they will literally just murder you because you are that wanted of a man. So, to get back to my point they show up at Clemens point. Why do they not gather up every single law enforcement they could find in the region, form a posse comitatus, deputize anyone they can find willing to help and surround the gang with hundreds of men to bring them to justice? No, instead they walk in, walk out and are kind enough to give Dutch's gang about a day to gather up all their shit into wagons and move on out of the area. Here's a better question, even without a posse, why did they not have someone spying on the gang as they moved out, and trailed / tracked them to their new location so they could have more time to gather up men to assault them?Or, go back to earlier in the gang, when Arthur is confronted by the Pinkertons a couple hundred yards away from their camp at Horseshoe bend! They could have followed Arthur right back to Dutch right then and there and knew where they were!
