How do you feel about fanprojects, have you ever been inspired to make something because of a game? There are some people around here that work on undertale related fangames, and one anon just released a massive update for deltarune yellow! Now all of chapter 2 is playable. Talk about fangames, share your own projects, and if you're going through the new chapter, remember to use spoilers
>>736882406new chinese kanako dropped (the game is still dead)
Major Axis spoilers be warned.
>>736882517Potentially the (second) fastest dev in the fandom btw
>>736882406Watching this arg series https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AuJpWDRajNA# still makes me wonder if a fangame like this (minus the arg haunted game spookiness) would be possible. Like some kind of randomized Undertale world generator that takes prefab components and assembles them together in a semi coherent way.
>>736882681>no demo>proof of concept is months oldYeah right.
>>736882969He (potentially) finished an entire area demo in record time, don't underestimate him.
>>736883029woah, what impressive (supposed) power.
>>736883141>pic Starlo would drop his spaghettis.

REMINDER: This is not a genuine fangame discussion thread. This is a weekly "raid" thread by the jackasses from /vrpg/'s Troondertale Yellow Snow "general" thread that they refuse to stay contained within, despite their thread having copious amounts of discussions. Source: their current thread is 1500+ posts strong. There is no reason for this raiding bullshit. Stay in your pigpen and leave /v/ the fuck alone.
Dryanon, I just want you to know you got me with this one.
also, I like the unique dialogue for equipping different things
Remind me; the Dark Shot just activates hard mode, right?
>>736883769I think I saw someone say that it doesn't activate hard mode but is a prerequisite for this games weird route. that said I have no idea if that's true.
>>736883436Why have you not killed yourself yet?
>>736883436Never kill yourself.
>>736883436That's some high grade autism.Say, have utfags reached the show that shall not be named's level of mental illness?
>>736882406>How do you feel about fanprojects, have you ever been inspired to make something because of a game? Some might say all the world is but a fan project.
>>736883808I swear that the fury route could be activated without the dark shot
>>736883769>>736883808>>736884000dark shot is just hard mode, it isn't linked to the alt route but it does change the fountain sealing cutscene and a small dialogue
>>736884000no clue, just going off a random post I saw once.I also don't know what kind of updates chapter 1 may have gotten with this release other than that one musicanons song getting put in.
>>736883436I wonder what's the point of coming here.Like, /vrpg/ is chiller and has better moderation, and visibly the threads aren't deleted on a whim - what's the point of a temporary thread here? Exposure?
>>736884075I'm just here to discuss video games on the video game board of 4chan occasionally. Is a deep or complex reason really needed?
>>736884172I mean. If you have a better thread, I don't see why you choose willingly to return near the gacha stealth general, the lust-provoking images, the off-topic shit and so on.
>>736884264 Sure the place is a far cry from what it was in 2007, but /v/ is for video games. people may have driven it to shitposting and off topic nonsense over the decades, but I will never stop believing in video games. and because I know there are anons here that still want to discuss video games, and wish this place was more video game related.

When Chujin isn't home, Kanako and Cole have these kinds of encounters.https://files.catbox.moe/yo0iyp.png
>>736884529same here honestly. seeing that update recently that they are still working on it gives me hope. Knowing that it adds extra scenes spending time with the characters gives me hope.
>>736884075/Vrpg/ is a *really* slow board. If we did the kind of pace we're doing here over there, we'd hit the bump limit and the image limit in a couple days, then we'd be stuck with no image posting ability for weeks. I don't know if /vrpg/ has a post limit, but I'd rather not find out. /V/ is a really fast board, so the thread dies a few minutes after it reaches bump limit. Good for fast paced discussion.
>>736884591Nah they do it even when chujin is home
>>736884894To be fair, he said he was going out of town. They just don't know his "business trips" are just him working nonstop in his Frankenstein room for three days, and that he was fired months ago.
Why do deltatroon fags constantly make this thread
I wonder if there are any other rewards for getting to a certain score. I whiffed at 25 I think last time.
>>736885247regular deltaheads hate fangames though
>>736885247These are fangame furrytroons actually
>>736885318I'm just going to assume for now there isn't until someone beats my high score that is
Remind how we start the alt route again? I vaguely remember it related to ENCOURAGE but I don't remember how to trigger it. After the scissor bridge?
>>736885828the encourage thing was in the first release, the chapter 1 rework changed itthese are the steps now:-after reuniting with kanako, choose to leave right away instead of asking if she is fine, then beat 10 battles by FIGHTing and then talk to her (she will mention how annoyed she is)-select to fight in bearing's first encounter at the cliffs-during the warden's apprehend tutorial, use kanako's attack to beat him instead-ignore thormas in town and in the forest-buy the rock from pennilton instead of using the poster-fail the memory game 3 timesthose steps aren't all 100% necessary, but doing those will guarantee you start itafter that just beat everything and keep your fight count higher than your spare count
wait a minute, that card...They don't actually expect me to trade this thing away do they?
>>736884382Okay, but why here and not just sticking to your thread in /vrpg/. You're talking to the same people
>>736886253/v/ is for video game discussion. No reason is needed beyond that. The thread isn't breaking any rules, and so the thread is in it's proper place.

>>736885340>regular DR fans hate me just because i'm yellowi understand racism now....

Axis is pretty cool.
I kinda like remixes.Here's some:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnM6vT8nT5chttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptv4HM4_Rjshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MkUul479hE
I finally finished day 1 in the newest release, I dropped the Halloween build after getting filtered by apprehending honvich thinking that winning by violence was considered le bad
>>736886754Those old chapter 1 era sprites really make me miss what I thought deltarune was going to be instead of what it has become
>>736886754there's not TOO many yellow remixes that are highly unique, but there's a really good dalv one I'm trying to find, but I don't think it has dalv or forlorn in the title. The same guy did a good jackenstein remix I think.
>>736886872I think both the Deltarune in my head from when the demo dropped and we have now are pretty cool.
>>736886872This, makes me wish for a anime only ending version of Deltarune. Luckily there's a guy working on that. >>736886934Its pretty good, but the longer it goes on the more problems it has. I really did not care for chapter 4.
>>736884894Guess that means Chujin heard Kanako and Cole when they were doing this.https://files.catbox.moe/u41uqz.png
>>736886839I noticed in the new build honvich is in a proper jail cell of his own if you capture him. But he still seems to have the same dialogue that implies you captured someone you shouldn't have. I'm not ultimately sure where things stand with him.
>>736886872I'm generally of the belief that the game will peak at chapter 1 and chapter 7, 4 is a pretty close high
>>736887031I don't really agree, it'd be like me trying to make objective arguments for why ice cream is bad because I like cake, and listing off qualities of ice cream that make it different from cake as if it's some kind of mistake, instead of making more cake.
>unique mechanic for a wanted fightI kneel DRYanon.
>>736882517You know, while it's great to see more HMoAF, I just wish we also got platonic relationships between a human male and an anthro male. It seems to be a real rarity since it's all romance.I've always loved how monsters treated Kris like he's one of them even though he's clearly an outsider, and i find deep friendships to be a lot more interesting than romance. The relationship is built upon emotional support between the two without adding any sort of physical attraction. So having two people forming close friendship despite being two completely different species is something very sweet to seeKris and Berdly could've been what I wanted, but Toby Fox, of course, had to appeal to shippers (mentally ill)
>>736886754
>>736887307anon that is actually HFOFA
>>736887307>she's not a #kerdlysweep trutherngmi
>>736887167I didn't say it was bad, just that I dislike parts of it and would rather I had gotten something else. Its like expecting chocolate ice cream and getting mint pistachio. I'll still eat it and enjoy it, but I wanted chocolate and the whole time I'm eating it I'll be thinking about the chocolate I didn't get.
>>736887307>I just wish we also got platonic relationships between a human male and an anthro maleI found myself thinking about becoming drinking buddies with Chujin on the surface. Him always venting his issues with humanity with you, taking over the conversations as you mostly just listen to your friend get things off his chest. Not really bothering him with your troubles since after all, you know monsters have had it pretty rough. You don't even realize that you've been falling into a bit of a pit yourself mentally lately, but he notices it and instead of ranting about his human coworkers one time, starts prying, realizing how little he actually knows about his human friend.I then went on to have a completely unrelated nightmare when I fell asleep.I'd like to be friends with a monster.

>>736887603Anon, I'm allowed to wish the story went a different way. Its not against the law to do that.

>>736887361Oh goddamit My point still stands>>736887415Nobody ships these two seriously. It's all ironic It's a real shame that Toby undone Berdly's character development after chapter 2. Berdly getting humbled by Kris would've been a nice way to start a friendship between the two. We already got from bully to lovers, so how about from a rival to friends? It would also been a great parallel to weird route where rather befriending Berdly, you nearly kill Berdly>>736887538That's real sweet, anonEventually the relationship between you two would turn into something like picrel
>>736887709nah, I get along with most black people I've met. Only people I've really known to give a shit about my astronomy interest.I still want to be friends with Chujin.
>>736887876Maybe they don't like Queen
>>736887709Mainly because I have to walk on eggshells around them. Always afraid I'll piss them off by saying something accidentally edgy. Monsters are a fantasy that exists in the ideal, they're more chill than any real person could be, and it wouldn't matter if I did piss them off despite that I'm a billion times stronger than them so they wouldn't be able to do anything to me.
>>736887876Joke about some old schizo drama. Really not worth explaining if you weren't there for it.
>>736887910>you nearly kill BerdlyI think its more than nearly. He seems to be braindead.
wait so is this made by the original anon that first started working on deltarune yellow? How much content is there?
>>736888193Yes, two whole chapters. Ironically the successor project is the one stuck in limbo. This one is doing great.
>>736888182I said nearly because of how you can still visit Berdly in the hospital and turn on the heater, so maybe he may wake up from coma later in the game
>>736888148Is it about Queen?
>>736888379No. It has nothing to do with anyone in the games.
>>736887910>That's real sweet, anon>Eventually the relationship between you two would turn into something like picrelwould be cool. I can imagine being in that point in a friendship where you can talk shit to eachother after a certain point jokingly, but maybe things have been rough and your slipping into a bit more numb state of mind. You show up to the usual watering hole after work, order your drinks and just space out while letting your buddy air out his frustrations with humanity. It's not like you can blame him at all, he puts up with a lot of nonsense. Either way you can't really bring yourself to pay attention this time, until you noticed that he's stopped talking, and is looking at you with concern. He doesn't address it directly, he just does his best, but possibly awkward attempt at steering the coversation in a different direction>"All that aside anon... how are things with (interest of yours he took the time to remember)." >His attempts to coax conversation out of you are obvious, but sincere all the same. You can't help but feel slightly better seeing that.I don't know man. I wanna be friends with the jin. Encourage him to face his fears over humanity but also be uplifted by someone who cares about the people around him in his community. Maybe spot him coming up with a crazy idea at some point and be good enough friends to tell him to get his head out of his ass.
>>736887758Reminds me of the whole helping Racter grieve situation. Poor guy needs someone in his corner.
>>736888621You might say (you)'re his only friend left in the world.
>>736888458Is it about people's expectations for future chapters?
>>736888691No, its about some stupid urban legend and a massive drama shitstorm that formed around it. I don't want to go in depth because there's a ban happy mod with an axe to grind over it, so like I said if you weren't there its really not worth going into.
on the wanted fights in the latest chapter > I'll turn myself in. Into the Dark JailKino. Absolute Kino.
>>736888496NTA, but that sounds pretty nice. However,>Maybe spot him coming up with a crazy idea at some point and be good enough friends to tell him to get his head out of his ass. What about being good friends with him, but *helping* him do whatever it is he's doing instead?Maybe he just needs someone to steer him away from disaster and towards greatness!
>>736888808>What about being good friends with him, but *helping* him do whatever it is he's doing instead?>Maybe he just needs someone to steer him away from disaster and towards greatness! There's value in that but it depends on what his plan is. Sometimes people need a helping hand. Other times people need someone they can trust to be strong enough to tell them to stop. It's something you just know when the time comes if the bond between brothers is strong enough. I wouldn't turn my back on a friend for making a stupid call, it takes multiple intentional betrayals of trust for me to do that, and I don't think Chujin is someone that would intentionally try to harm a friends trust.
>>736886872I think I understand it now why some people were fans of Chapter 1 and are now disappointed, since the game feels like a VN with a bullet hell gimmick. Deltarune abandoned the pretense of being a real JRPG and I think that kind of sucks. Toby doesn't seem to know how to compromise ACTing with having stats such as Attack and Magic mattering. Neither does it value different Darkners having varied types like Dark and Star which makes the few moments this exists stand out at all. The twist of Susie being allowed to heal is neat, but it dilluted even more the frail concept of characters having defined battle roles.Or maybe I am completely wrong and that's not what people wanted but didn't get, but I keep thinking about what if DR really became a JRPG.
Just received the baseball cap fuck, I want to keep her wearing the fluffy wristband but She's fond of the cap, and I can't make her take off the necklace!
>>736888930>There's value in that but it depends on what his plan is. Sometimes people need a helping hand. Other times people need someone they can trust to be strong enough to tell them to stop. It's something you just know when the time comes if the bond between brothers is strong enough. That's fair.I guess it depends on what universe this is, UTY or DRY.Honestly, if the weird science-magic of the UT universe is on the table, I'd probably help him go full Handplates level with it.Well, partially anyway.>I wouldn't turn my back on a friend for making a stupid call, it takes multiple intentional betrayals of trust for me to do that, and I don't think Chujin is someone that would intentionally try to harm a friends trust.Yeah, Chujin seems more like the kind of guy who would hurt people on accident.Which, is what he did, so yeah, I guess.
>>736888962Nta, but my main issues are plot issues. I really don't like how straight it's playing everything. I wanted the prophecy to be a lie cooked up by Ralsei and the knight to not just be a big scary boss fight. I wanted a grand conspiracy, meta fuckery, and some horror elements to take center stage in the latter half. Instead its just a boring fate of the world jrpg story. I think the part that I disliked the most in the new chapters was the Titan. I hate both the gameplay and narrative portions of that boss, I don't even like the music. I didn't want the titan to exist, and I certainly didn't want any kind of big generic cinematic boss fight. The orchestra score really has symbolizes everything wrong with the titan. Its "epic" and "cinematic" and that makes it dreadfully bland.
>>736882406They're literally all buttshit, zoomerfag. NEXXTT
>>736888930>>736888808Nta, but I would totally help Chujin build murder robots if he brought up the idea. I'd just try to be the voice of reason to ensure he follows safety procedures.
I can fix Ceroba and Chujin simultaneously.
>>736889338Based throuple enjoyer
>>736889292Yeah, his robot idea itself wasn't bad, he just needed someone to help him with actually executing the idea.I could probably help him with testing his robots and designing them (and making sure they don't fail catastrophically), since I've already got some experience messing around with that kind of thing.
>>736889292>>736889112It probably depends a lot on the context. Is what he's doing going to cost him the things that I as a close friend know are most important to him? Is this endangering his family (assumably unknowingly) or damaging his relationship with them in some way? I'd probably try to talk some sense into him. Making Robots sounds cool as hell, and I like robots a lot already so I'd probably be one of his biggest supporters in that area. Maybe that's the one of the initial things that got his guard lowered enough for a friendship to happen at all.>I'd probably help him go full Handplates level with it.I actually never went all the way through handplates but I can only assume that's FULLY in the realm of mad science. I'd probably try to talk some sense into him, remind him that he's on the surface, with his family. I'd ask him what they would do if something happens to him, and since we'd probably be drunk, if he said something like "they'll be fine, it's more important that I try to give them a better life" I'd tell him that his wife would cry herself to sleep every night if something happened to him. That the better life is one with him alive.Autism.Friends don't let friends cast themselves unto hell or something like that?
>>736889494I don't have that much experience with robots, but I do have experience building guns in my backyard. So I know a thing or two about safety and safely testing weapons. I'd probably show him that video of Kentucky Ballistics getting a rifle bolt sent through his neck to teach him the value of safe testing procedures.
>>736889212And then you have people who think everything should be more streamlined, return to the formula of Chapter 1, let you fulfill the LEGEND and go stop the Knight. It's funny how polarizing this is.
>>736889624I'm a bit of an outlier in that I like really weird and confusing endings. Like The Big O's ending, I love it, meanwhile most people hate it. I have a feeling my idea Deltarune ending would piss a lot of people off.
>>736887576I actually sort of like it
>>736889723>I have a feeling my idea Deltarune ending would piss a lot of people off.>t. THE ORIGINAL.
>>736889568>I actually never went all the way through handplates but I can only assume that's FULLY in the realm of mad science. Some might call that an uncharitable description of what Gaster was doing.I'd say he was fully sane, really.>That the better life is one with him alive.Yeeeeessss...But that's not a problem if he simply isn't killed by what he's doing! So, really, as long as he adheres to a certain amount of safety and precaution, we can have the best of both worlds, with him being alive, and having made a major contribution towards the betterment of the world at large.>Friends don't let friends cast themselves unto hell or something like that?Depends. Sometimes the best friends are the ones who are willing to go down with you.Or act as an anchor to make sure you don't go so deep that you can't pull yourself out again.
>>736889212It seems like the game is trying to do a lot of the things you mentioned but in a way it doesn't appeal to you in the slightest. You should try creating something according to your vision if you can
>>736889785>So, really, as long as he adheres to a certain amount of safety and precaution, we can have the best of both worlds, with him being alive, and having made a major contribution towards the betterment of the world at large.I'm not letting Chujin pour a bucket of "the core" over his head, and If I happen to see another anon there doing the same I'm dragging him away too.>Or act as an anchor to make sure you don't go so deep that you can't pull yourself out again.yes, that's fair. I think my personal relationship with the guy would be against mad science, though I think I may be competing against another anon who's encouraging him to do the bucket challenge together with core juice.honestly a really funny thought.Either way I think I'd be a counterbalance of some sort. I'm not against crazy ideas, but I can hear mad science a mile away.
>>736889789I am already working on my own fangame. Though its not got much overlap with Deltarune's plot stuff.
>>736888778Why do the jannies hate deltarune related stuff anyway?
>>736889606I guess that makes me the counter to you then, since I don't know much about making firearms, but I figure I could help him just getting the machine itself to work by addressing the issues he seemed to have.Namely the accidental fire-starting and the IFF problem his robots seemed to have.Really, a lot of his ideas weren't bad, it just seemed like he went way too fast on them and didn't slow down to make sure what he was building actually worked before he showed it off.His design for the Axis model we see in-game isn't bad either, kinda reminds me of Dark Man 1 from Mega Man, and that's actually a pretty decent design for an offensive robot too.

small error on this sentence missing "you" or whatever word would go there. cute embarrassed nako though >>736890005honestly having the things he managed to do right with his axis line recognized, probably would have done wonders for him improving things. if he thought people were taking his efforts seriously, he may not have felt like he had to rush so much, he may not have felt like he was the only one that cared about the problems at hand.Even that aside, everyone wants at least some recognition for the things they did well right?
>>736889914>I'm not letting Chujin pour a bucket of "the core" over his head, and If I happen to see another anon there doing the same I'm dragging him away too.Even when I suggest following actual safety procedures, I still can't get away from the mockery of my peers. One day, you'll see. You'll all see.>Either way I think I'd be a counterbalance of some sort. I'm not against crazy ideas, but I can hear mad science a mile away.Fair enough, but I can't help but feel like Chujin himself might start to feel as though you're stifling him just a bit.
>>736890005I think the biggest issue was him doing live fire testing in the throne room. That kind of thing needs to be done in a remote area and be observed from a safe distance behind proper cover.
>>736890091Every friend group got the enabler and the voice of reason I guess. >>736890201Yes, that was also a pretty big mistake.Maybe it also shouldn't have weapons capable of dealing such massive collateral damage, at least not until the programming is all sorted out. Also, probably don't give it an actual AI capable of thinking on its own and making decisions against its orders, that's a disaster waiting to happen.

I'll just have to drag you two from the burning wreckage of the "dick explosion machine 9000". so we can all watch it burning from the coast over a couple of beers.I'll have you know that the things I actually work/worked on in real life were much more sane and practical.Like that time I used my dad's cutting equipment to cut some sheet metal into batarangs as a kid.Don't worry, he stopped me midway, before I could fully sharpen the first one.Point is, I would never make something so straightforwardly useless as a "dick explosion machine".It'd only work on 50% of people, it'd be too vulnerable against anyone without a dick to begin with.>Both of you looking at me as though the problem is completely solved.Okay, what if I use an eye-dropper or something to only release it in controlled amounts?Checkmate.
>>736890445Well that can be fixed with just replacing the power source, or checking to see if the wiring itself is faulty.I don't know how the weird floaty steam bits of Axis work, but I'd think they arguably don't need to be that way for an automated guard.I'd suggest a different approach to what the robot it being built for, instead of being a replacement for normal guards, it could be something simpler to fill in the gaps between manpower shortages. It doesn't need to be able to think, and it arguably doesn't even need hands to interact with its surroundings, it just needs to be able to patrol a certain area, and monitor and deal with threats as they happen, and something capable of doing just that isn't the most complicated thing in the world.
>>736890552>Point is, I would never make something so straightforwardly useless as a "dick explosion machine"it's a joint venture between you and the guy that made a "rock dropper 900". >>736889212Well you're not a mikefag at least
>>736889212Honestly playing it straight seems more interesting than some sort of arbitrary twist.
>>736890703>it's a joint venture between you and the guy that made a "rock dropper 900". At best I'll give that you showed him the error of his ways, and thus together started work on the "genital annihilator ray 8060" to reach higher effective target rates. You still end up getting pulled out of said wreckage. To Chujin's credit, those rock-droppers work flawlessly. Drop rocks like you wouldn't believe.I think him and I could make a decently functioning machine, whatever it is.Honestly, I could even see myself making a smaller scale thing that could be useful, like a handheld gun that emits those orange and blue lasers like you see in the Core, weaponry to give monsterkind an edge when fighting humans.>desperately wrestling the eye dropper from one of your hands as I question how yall managed to get a hold of core juice without me knowing.Fishing pole with a bucket at the other end.Try as you might, you can't stop progress.
>>736890925This in every way. I'm sick to death of the millennial obsession with subversion for the sake of it
>>736890819I loved the Mike fight. I want more stuff like that and more stuff like Tenna. I just also wanted the sword route type stuff to be the "real plot" instead of the fate of the world prophecy stuff. >>736890925I gotta disagree. This plot seriously disinterests me. At this point I'm mainly just sticking around out of sunk cost and a desire to see side content. I don't think it would be arbitrary either, you can absolutely make that kind of twist meaningful. Full Metal Alchemist 2003 did something like that pretty well, and that's why I prefer it over the manga.
>>736890948>Try as you might, you can't stop progress.>these words echo in my mind but I can't remember who said them. >I sit at the bar alone>it all feels so familiar, I always come here. >>736891034It wouldn't be for the sake of it though. It'd be for the purpose of analyzing how we engage with fiction and making a statement about it.
>>736891201Even erasure can't stop the endless march of ambition, just ask the man behind the grey door.Shattered across time and space? You'd still see me around, just not where you used to.
There is something very satisfying with finishing the second day, then create a new save file for the Dark Shot and Fury route.
>>736891201This guy gets it
This is why I love coming to these threads. Seeing anons having in depth conversations about their hypothetical scenarios Love it when people have this much enthusiasm for something
>>736891430>walking down the road one day, I spot a gray door on the side of a building. I don't recall there being a gray door there before but sure enough there is one now.>Having never played undertale due to it not being a game but instead reality, I have no idea the significance of this gray door. >I'm sure there's some fox monster and human arguing about the finer points of mad science or something silly like that on the other side of the door.>oh so it must be some kind of diagnostic lab or something. It would definitely be weird for me to walk in there right now for no reason.>I continue my solitary walk home, not even remembering the day I failed to get that eye dropper out of their hands. I just know one day I woke up feeling like something was missing from my life. Funny how that works.
>>736891201In all honesty, if I was playing around with the Core with Chujin somehow, I'd probably be the one to expose myself to any dangers first, rather than him. He's the one who's got Ceroba, and his vanishing would hurt her, and I wouldn't let that happen if I could help it.
>>736891749I think the best instance of that was with the Kanako DT extractor idea.I still think I'm right about that, I don't care what anyone says.
>>736891749It soothes my soul knowing that my life threatening autism has positive effects on this world in some way or another like this.
>>736891753See?Some things are bigger than ourselves, but that doesn't mean we aren't still a part of them. We'll be here.
>>736891754What if Chujin did have a human friend, but him being erased from time is why Chujin goes down the dark path in the uty timeline.
>>736890948>To Chujin's credit, those rock-droppers work flawlessly.>Drop rocks like you wouldn't believe.>I think him and I could make a decently functioning machine, whatever it is.I'll give you a compromise to maintain the slapstick hilarity of this scenario. Many of his axis models did blow up before he got it working correctly.you two working together will eventually uncover the secrets of the crotch destruction engine. but there's always the risk that you'll erase yourselves from reality before sharing those secrets Definitely going to be some explosions before you reach either endpoint.
>>736891260Good for you, hipster. Maybe some day one of you retards will make that story without it being complete shit, but I doubt it.
>>736891824Like many people here, you can channel your autism into creating something if you haven't alreadyThe whole conversation about Chujin getting along with a human despite his hatred for humanity is something very sweet, and it reminds me a of Frisk and Undyne getting along it
>>736891932I think we'd make a good team.Even if we were both barred from taking any of the Core goop (it's not like there's only so much of it anyway, taking just a bit is fine), I think we'd get some things done. For whatever it's worth, even as a human, I agree with Chujin that monsterkind needs to be more well-equipped to deal with various dangers, including a potential second conflict with humanity, so I could see myself helping him out while trying to address these problems, while keeping him from getting himself killed.
>>736891869>I finally get home and sit at my desk. I never turn my computer on right when I get home. not for another couple hours at least.>I can't help but feel like I should be doing something else, the feeling gnaws at my soul but I can't grasp the meaning of it.>I feel like I should have someone to talk to right now, some buddies that I spend these evenings with getting into some half thought plan or another. I saw a video of a group of friends building something in their backyard, and for some reason I feel a weight in my chest as the video ends. I should do something, meet people, meet monsters or something. >but I can't, I can never shake this feeling, like I already had my chance and blew it. That i couldn't save them.>save them? That's oddly specific. Overactive imagination getting to me again or something. After a time, the sun sets as is always does.
>>736889212Anon the game very obviously is going to pivot into the Dess stuff nearing the end, just like the end of Undertale was not about big bad Asgore preparing to wage war against humans but about Flowey and his true nature.
>>736892061These threads have been the driving force to finally do something with my desire to create something, anything. The insane ramblings hold a power over me, and I'm glad to let it happen.
>>736892297Always the pessimist, aren't you?Always asking "what if you fall?", never "what if you fly?".It's better to have burnt in the sun's splendor, than to have never gotten to see it at all.
>>736892308Yeah, but its gonna be fate of the world stuff with Dess and isn't gonna be nearly as weird and surreal as I want. I wanted the whole plot to fall apart and feel inconsequential compared to what was under it. Like the second season of The Big O. As it stands either we have a big heartfelt battle to save Dess or we have a big moral grandstanding section where we "have to learn to let go". And its gonna involve more boring titan style fights.
>>736887058Of course Chujin could hear everything especially the last part.Kanako wanted Cole's justice nut.
>>736892297And then you fucked Toriel to feel better and told a bunch of shitty bone puns.
>>736891981I would rather anon try and fail than never try at all.besides that, Anons around here have come up with a ton of clever stuff.
>>736884486I can't wait to see Luzma in game.
>>736891753If we're talking about Zenith Martlet in DRY.We can't forget about Cole seeing her for the first time.https://files.catbox.moe/m987bh.png
>>736892450I'm sorry anon, I was listening to "nothing but the truth" which steered my autism. It was the guiding hand that told me how things would go. I must fight to keep you and chujin only creating the various loin decimators rather than rain world anti existence juice.
>fan projects>hacks>etcI will never give them a chance because I have no way of knowing if the "quality" is consistent.Basically no way to know if they committed to the bit or ran out inspiration/content as soon as the game gets going. For the same reason it's hard to really get into and indie game these days because they all seem to be made purely for clout and there's no way of knowing if they have any legs or the content fizzles out past the intro part of the game. And if someone recommends such a game it's again no way of knowing if they're just a fanboy pushing they cult shit onto you or the game is actually good. Not even reviews are a good indicator since it's infested with "letterbox-reviewing" where people rate up games they want to match with their personality rather based on any objective metric.
>>736892147Honestly I think if he could get someone competent on his side with that idea, he was on the right track with the Axis line. Aside from the whole IFF thing being important. Something tells me that robots made through monster magic, are less prone to "robot uprising" behavior. their flaws seem a bit different. There are a lot of ways you and chujin could change the world without leaving Anon alone in the world, bereft of mad scientist friends.
>>736892450You only say that because you aren't the one being left behind. Daedalus was just as much the victim of Icarus's folley as Icarus himself.
>>736892730>I have no way of knowing if the "quality" is consistent.Have you considered playing them and then just doing something else when you start not liking them?
>>736892730
>>736892825I don't have infinite time to allocate to "trying out" every other game that looks interesting, and I DEFINITELY do not have enough time to be checking out random hacks and fan games.
>>736892689Well, it's a change from the usual fare, of me being dragged away by Ceroba instead.Unfortunately for you, my motivation is driven by something else entirely, something that tells me that I absolutely must press forward, no matter what opposition I face.I'll eat the path.
>>736892856You have time to be on 4chan, you have time to play video games.
>>736892809>Aside from the whole IFF thing being important. Something tells me that robots made through monster magic, are less prone to "robot uprising" behavior. their flaws seem a bit different. Yes, but even so, a true "thinking machine" is something we're better off avoiding. When it comes to a machine designed to kill, we don't want it behaving in any unexpected ways, broadly speaking.>There are a lot of ways you and chujin could change the world without leaving Anon alone in the world, bereft of mad scientist friends. The other anon could always join us, you know.Science only gets better as a group effort.
>>736892586He's free to do that, and gain a following of onions-sucking hipsters who jerk themselves off about how artsy it is rather than anything of actual substance
>>736893017It's better for people to do things because they want to do them, rather than because they are scared of who might like them. That's actually really pathetic anon.
>>736892730What do you lose if the game is bad? A couple hours? You clearly have time to spare if you're spending ut here.
>>736893017Are you the same guy who said Toby Fox was a "fucking snake" for having a plot twist rather than having everything in DR follow the prophecy to the letter?
>>736892994>Yes, but even so, a true "thinking machine" is something we're better off avoiding.progress can not be stopped!as I try to convince chujin to go from one horribly dangerous line of research to another horribly dangerous line of research
>>736892856Yet you have time to complain about games you don't play in threads dedicated to things you yourself admit you have no interest in? If you don't want to play them fair enough, but isn't there something better you could be doing?
>>736893201Okay, well at the very least we don't need thinking machines *right now*, so we can focus on getting the hardware operational first.
>>736893265>hardware? Hardware!>anon starts happily screaming hardware as the other anon and chujin look on in concern. >He's overjoyed, Hardware is better than eye dropper, hardware is better than eye dropper!
>>736893320I don't understand.
>>736893435in this case the anon is thinking that talking about getting the hardware operational, has gotten the mad scientists minds off the eye dropper experiment (for now). Anon is out of his league trying to keep his friends from not existing you see.
>>736893479Oh, I see.Yeah, I guess watching a friend start shouting a single word like Archimedes yelling "eureka!" probably would get my mind off whatever I was thinking about before.Actually I've been on both sides of that, it usually gets people's attention.Except I was clothed.

>>736893320You know, and eyedropper is technically hardware. It's a tool. That's hardware.
>>736892584Honestly personality is a huge part of attractiveness for me, so I'm not really into toriel.
>>736893883I was making a joke about your post describing a day in the life of Sans.
>>736893857to be honest that wasn't lost on me. I can imagine screaming Hardware triumphantly only for Chujin and the other anon to pick up an eye dropper, look at eachother knowingly and say>"yes, lets handle the hardware first".
I might be too fucking retarded for this block puzzle and i never thought I'd say something like that. Is mirrored left to right switching or up and down.
>>736893975This is funny, but in all seriousness, we probably wouldn't need to be messing around with Core goop anyway, since I only suggested that idea jokingly as a way to erase information locally. So, the Core probably wouldn't be the thing that gets us.Which means you have to keep an eye out for *everything else* instead.
>>736894091>Which means you have to keep an eye out for *everything else* instead.I'm back to "dragging you two out from the wreckage" duty, and narrowly escaping death over our obsessions. the normal order of business. Much less terrifying than forgetting your friends ever existed and every day is the universe mocking you over it.
>>736894074mirrowed usually means only flipped horizontally
>>736892640I don't think you'll be seeing too much anon.
>>736894172thank you, I flipped it every other way first. including flipping which side I was doing the puzzle on. and yes I saw that w you cheeky anon.
>>736893938ah yeah I guess he's the prime suspect for having possibly had someone close to him erased from his life huh.
>>736894210The idea of getting flanshbanged by lUzma because she suddenly got too horny is funny, you'd have to wear sunglasses or a welding mask when flirting with her
>>736894168>I'm back to "dragging you two out from the wreckage" duty, and narrowly escaping death over our obsessions.Ye of little faith. You haven't even considered that what we would make could be dangerous *and* work perfectly.Really, I'm hurt.>Much less terrifying than forgetting your friends ever existed and every day is the universe mocking you over it.If we're really geniuses, we'll find a way to do that without the Core.
>>736894074uhhh I think it was something like this, imagine the two grids being like book pages and when you slam them together they swap marks, if that makes sensemarks not actually accurate to game, just for illustration
>>736894289>looking into Luzma's eye as she cums
>>736894382From the outside it would look like someone turned on a mini sun inside your house
>>736894442Worth it.
>>736894442I imagine it'd be a bit like the wave of light that flooded the underground when Flowey absorbed everyone's souls, but instead of witnessing the creation of a god, it's just someone plowing their fire monster gf.And doing a very good job of it, by the looks of things.
>>736894323>You haven't even considered that what we would make could be dangerous *and* work perfectly.like i said earlier, you two will eventually make a perfectly functioning final product. It's just that there will be some explosions among the prototypes. I'll have one of those folding chairs out by the test site and some first aid supplies ready. It helps if you add the idea that monsters wouldn't be as hurt by freak accidents that have no killing intent so chujin, being a learned man can instruct on how to put the bones back in your body.
>>736894287Specifically two people erased in some weird science experiment involving the core.
>>736894472At least the after care would be nice, and you get too look like a mummy on the meantime, which is a plus if you're near halloween
>>736894363Thank you anon. I was absolutely not piecing it together. I flipped them for several attempts instead of properly mirroring them, and then didn't mirror across sides.
>>736894563Eh, humans are pretty tough too, I think I'd be fine.I've never been too badly injured while working on something, though I did give myself a shock while fixing a mini fridge once, and I did once put a knife in the side of my hand while trying to open a root beer. That second one is easily the less justifiable of the two.Point is, I can be safe when I need to be.

>>736894885>i've been VERY seriously considering starting a pokemon webcomic as of lateyou should do it. Fucking go for it anon. As for the rest of what you said, I understand where you're coming from, and most people don't end up doing much with their fan projects, but I still think there was value in trying. Even if they just fumble around as amateurs, they still dipped their toes in the creative process.Like what you said about the themes, most of that is very true out in the ut/dr fandom, but you still manage to find people with interesting ideas here and there, and even a lot of the people who didn't have good ideas, just used it as a grounds to improve their skills a little.I also count fanart and fanfics in all of this, doing something creative has benefits to the self.

>>736896042There's nothing wrong with planning, but remember when it comes to writing, no one is "100 percent a planner or 100 percent a pantser". If you like planning but worry you don't have some things ironed out yet, you can always adjust the plan later when that part becomes more clear.I didn't pay attention to the fanfic scene until I got into it myself, I just know there used to be controversies and hassles that writers had to deal with on works getting removed. In some way it's been streamlined at least by ao3.Still, whether what you want to make turns out good or not, I think it would be cool if you gave it a try.
