One thing I love about the Mario movies is that they showed Mario as an actual person. Not just a bing bing wahoo, but a guy from the real world.In the 2D days, Mario was an everyman and Nintendo had him in all kinds of real world occupations. With the success of the movies, will Mario ever go back in that direction? I'm not talking about the outfits, but entire new games where he's doing something in the real world.

Playing Mario Odyssey makes me feel like a worm is feeding on my soul. I dislike everything about it besides the platforming which is alright. The animation that plays whenever you collect the triple moons or whatever is like being bukkake'd in onions. There's something totally wrong with this character now.

The next 3D Mario game really needs expressive models and animations in the same vein. and I gotta be honest, I also just never exactly cared for the Switch-era design adjustments that began with Super Mario Run, especially the promo models.
