Steve was actively killing Warframe. Dude spent like 3 years and all the resources DE had to develop and re-develop The New War several times over. Anyone who plays will tell you 2019-2021 was easily the dark era for this game, it was terrible and content updates were few and far between. Reb has her own issues, namely the amount of gooner content they're making, but the game is definitely in a much better spot. Steve will likely return to Warframe in some aspect after Soulframe launches and it flops (which I think it will).

sure there have been some missteps like the AOE gun ammo nerf and slam nerfs, but generally the game is in an infinitely better state now than it was even like a year ago
EDA/ETA are fun and interesting and are some of the only actual ways to make you play with some amount of intensity and encourage you to really build guns or frames to be self sufficient
single target weapons are weaker than AOE but can still compete with how good statuses like blast and gas have become
full stripping armor is no longer a full on requirement to do damage outside of hunter munitions
influence has given melee the AOE to keep up with the modern weapons like the incarnons and good chain beam guns
reworks are plentiful and meaningful, both with the lowered floor for participation and in the quality of reworks, shit like grendle going from extremely clunky and slow to being a top tier racecar with tons of AOE. even minor changes like ones frost gets are enough to push him into playable territory since he gets a full armor strip, 200% crit rate/damage, and gives the whole team extra health and status immunity

if you miss old warframe you enjoyed walking around dark hallways instead of playing the fucking game. its better than it ever was. you probably dont even break 10% kill contribution per mission in squads because you suck and cant bullet jump

they were nerfed because they were "disruptive" but they've left sevagoth untouched for longer than slams were good, and he is a literal saryn level aoe, except he is an instant kill that propagates through the map for like 15 straight seconds and he can do it for 75 energy, this goes for a fuck ton of frames too that dont even require weapons

slams are even still just as powerful, you just have to hold spacebar as monkey to get the same radius, the reasons just dont line up.

even if it was an afk farmer change, they didnt hit the actual afk weapon (envoy) since it still picks up 4 ammo per brick and holds 16 at base, over 3 times what the zarr or ogris can hold.

eh, its not that hard to get damage numbers up high enough to kill 9999 enemies if you are using tools like armor stripping, so % health damage isnt that busted, especially on how small her AOEs are
the rocket is funny though, instantly evaporating an acolyte with it will never not be mega funny

everything on her 1 beyond the first 3 are overkill though, i literally never ever use them except when i remember to drop the mission buff one, stuff like life support and amphors never ever ever come up though

I want to, but I'm having trouble finding a non-sucky clan at the moment. Back when I really played in 2016 / 2017, I ran a clan and later gave it to someone else where we weren't really big but we'd hop on to farm stuff together and run content, and now most groups I'm finding are cliques where the rest of the clan just pad the numbers while certain members are there to decorate dojos or else doing things as a private group instead of together with clan mates. I just wanna be lazy and have a group that plays after daily reset since they added open worlds / archons and all kinds of new content since I last played about a decade ago.

I also wanna have friends so I can have an excuse to farm original Voruna and maybe buy the new Prime pack, since she always looked interesting.
