In addition to Markarth itself, it will also include updates for territories that have already been released so it’s essentially the same as PC Anvil release. It certainly won’t be as big as Anvil, but from what I’ve seen, it’ll be far more substantial and interesting than the existing SHOTN content, with stuff like the College of the Voice and Companions questlines.

Yes, a few. There’s an old one about finding the body of the original Nerevar, and the Hlaalu quest could technically be called a continuation of the main quest because at the end one of the saints tells you to go to Akavir
But it’s not that much. Most of it is just side quests and various factions, but I wouldn’t say it’s pointless. You still learn a bunch of interesting things here and there. and there are individual questlines here each with its own storyline

Both original PC and SHOTN releases were first attempts and not of release quality. PC had Anvil which in addition to introducing new content polished up what had been released previously and Markarth should be the same prior to SHOTN. Interiors, quests and exteriors of poor quality will be brought up to standard. A good example is probably the city of Karthwasten, at the moment it’s literally the same architecture over and over again (you can see it on Picrel), and they’ve already revamped it to include more varied architecture with more assets.

Personally, I’m not a fan of large mod packs. And if you haven’t played the game for a while playing the bare-bones OpenMW without mods might be a good option. As for the build, just pick whichever you like more. It's a pretty straightforward game if you just focus on the skills you want to use. Just keep in mind that you really need a decent skill level to use equipment and magic at all. Also heavy armour is actually very heavy, and wearing it alone can take up almost your entire weight limit and your weight also affects your jumps and all the other fun movement stuff

My personal view is that while Nerevarine is not actually the reincarnation of Nerevar you are still a significant figure in Dunmer culture. It’s all just gods manipulating things to achieve a certain outcome, and Azura has her own agenda if she’s gone so far as to choose an Imperial agent to be the Nerevarine. After all, there were plenty of false Nerevarines who were far more suitable but weren’t recognised by Azura.

Existence of false Nerevarines doesn’t quite fit with that if you ask me. One of the conditions being "Azura must recognise you" makes this whole trial rather pointless. But the game is quite ambiguous in this regard, and I wouldn’t entirely rule out the possibility that you really are the reincarnation of Nerevar. It really depends on how much you trust Azura being honest with you.

TR don’t build houses for players, but they support other modders to do so. They deliberately leave spaces for them in the towns and have lists of house mods on their Discord. Anvil has a player home and PT are planning to add more including strongholds

Telvani territory is very old and is due for a complete remake. It's from the time when it was considered acceptable for a city to have 4 quests. Hlaalu territory was released recently and their capital is quite literally the largest city they’ve ever made. It’s probably also the most straightforward way to start the TR quests right now, you can begin the vanilla Hlaalu quests in Balmora and at some point you’ll receive a letter from the mainland tying everything together.

I actually got it setup last night, I used wabbajack and installed some megamod pack and it took me like 10 hours to get voices of vardenfel and TR to get working, don't have the patience to make custom mod packs anymore. Was just reading their plans last night for that big ass almalexia city but i geuss that will take some time still
