I really genuinely loved FF7 Remake and Rebirth. The games being fun and a great expansion to the world of FF7 aside these are some of the most ambitious pure passion projects ever seen in gaming and you can tell tons of effort went into both of them. That being said, the ending of Rebirth is genuinely the most retarded shit of all time. The time ghosts were stupid in Remake but they never straight up ruined anything. The ending of Remake implied that they would change shit in Rebirth but that didn't end up really happening and for the most part the game they played it straight right up until the end. I cannot even comprehend what the fuck is happening with the dog universes.My biggest gripe though was Aeriths death, not even how it was handled but the actual direction of the scene. This is one of the most iconic scenes in video game history and instead of just letting it play out the stupid fucking time ghosts are flying around all over the fucking place ruining the moment completely.
