Marathon was fun for a couple weeks but now everyone uses like 5 bubble shields for every encounter and it becomes boring VERY quickly. Went from playing multiple hours a day to maybe one at most. Reminds me of when I tried Fortnite and dropped it within a month because there was no punishment for being caught out in the open or for having bad positioning, just use one of the billion movement tools that sends you across the map the moment you take 1 point of damage to reset the encounter.

Marathon is the biggest case of denial the gaming industry has seen to date. People really aren't understanding the scope of just how bad of a fuck up this game, along with Bungie, is. It's not as hardcore as Tarkov but now you got the loot autism of a diablo-like. Gunplay is alright with the sound design being really gud. Biggest gripes I had off the rip is there's no way to compare items from what you have equipped and you can't move while your map is open. There also doesn't seem to be as many players in a match as compared to something like Apex so you have some breathing room to deal with the PvE content. The PvE AI isn't that bad currently, bots will dash and reposition or lunge at you to melee and they're not total bullet sponges besides the boss NPCs. There's is loot in every fuckin box and I hope they keep it this way. You're always able to leave a shitty exfil with atleast something.
