remake when
>>736899698>plays well on modern systems>gameplay has aged quite well for the most part>b-but I need graphicsno we don't
I'd like a new game and/or series kill yourself
we want Andromeda TWO
How would you fix the original trilogy?>the endingYeah, but *how* would you fix it?
>>7368996982021
>>736899969Write out the Reapers entirely. The whole "chosen one" vs "galaxy ending threat" is so tired and overdone and the trilogy's story completely collapsed under the weight of it. Retarded plot shifts like Cerberus suddenly becoming a galaxy-spanning organization with unlimited soldiers and resources, after 2 entire games of being a persecuted nationalist organization hiding in the shadows conducting unethical experiments, proved that the writers had no idea how to tie everything together into the broader Reaper plot-line without butchering the characterization and lore of everyone and everything.Mass Effect is at its best in the small scale moments. Investigating corruption, cracking down on criminal gangs, getting in firefights with pirates, helping out your companions and learning their backstories, etc.
>>736899969This 100% >>736902609Scale shit back, way back. Playing as a Specter, even an undercover one like in 2, you get access to so much fun shit it's easy to come up with tons of stuff involving different Reaper agents, indoctrinated factions, political intrigue, forbidden tech and so on. Focus on the characters and the world instead of solving every galaxy-level problem at the same time.
*inhales*......*taps cig*>Shepard...*exhales*
>>736899698Never. That costs money and time. They couldn't even be bothered to make basic QoL changes for the demasters of 2 and 3.
>>736899698It already got one dumbo. Its actually pretty good but you just need to install the mod that adds Mirana's ass close-ups back in.
>>736899879One does not exclude another
>>736899969Make reapers looming threat that you never actually see. Replace human reaper in 2 with a collector hivemind organism. In 3 you're looking for solution to the dark energy affecting stars (what tali was doing in 2) while trying to solve newly round tension between terminus systems and the citadel space
>>736899698You know what they should remake? Dragon Age 2. That one actually needs it.
>>736899969>Yeah, but *how* would you fix it?Keep the Rapers mysterious, they worked wonderfully as Lovecraftian horror. Like in the first game, you see they are emotionless, ruthless, like a hurricane. That talk with sovereign still gives me chills. Then you get told oh it's just some AI child playing with the galaxy as its sandbox. The game should end you somehow stopping the invasion, without getting told what they are, since they are unknowable and beyond comprehension to lowly lifeforms
>>736899698>Remakes are worse than their sources>ME2 was already extremely flawedNo thanks.
>>736899698Why remake the older Mass Effect games when you could just make a new Mass Effect game?
>>736905315I dont think anyone cares about dragon age anymore.
>>736905375ME3 ensured that you couldn't just make new Mass Effect games though.
>>736905390lots of people care otherwise they wouldn't get disappointed by the latest shitty releases
>>736905449What? Is your face tired or something?
>>736905449But Bioware is currently making a new Mass Effect game.
>>736905459Those shitty releases are why nobody cares anymore. Could you honestly say you would be excited if bioware announced another dragon age game?
>>736899969Similarly to what others say, get rid off Reapers functionally. They aren't even interesting. Rewrite ending of ME1 so Reapers are indefinitely delayed. Yeah once this Eldritch Horror finally arrives they will wipe out galaxy and you can't do anything to stop this. But this may happen in 100 years, 1000 or 1 000 000. Functionally you will never see them againME2 can stay as it is with you stopping CollectorsME3 would need to be completely retconnedMost importantly series should be improved mechanically. Remove dialogue wheel. Add actual RPG mechanics, skill checks, noncombat related skills, increase squad size, redesign areas to not be linear corridors, get rid off Voice ActingUltimately get rid off Shepard for next games and make it possible to play as an alien. Character building should be far more indepth with different races having different stats tooSetting itself is shallow. At the very least scale down massively how much of a galaxy is colonized. Citadel races should be just in some small corner of a galaxy so there is actually something left to explore
>>736899847He said remake, not remaster. We want improved gameplay and differentiated storylines. Just like the Resident Evil Remakes did it. They're sitting on a potential goldmine, yey are dumb enough not to capitalize on it.
Never, hopefully.
>>736899847>gameplay has aged quite well for the most partMass Effect is an extremely shallow console moviegame popamole
>>736905561>Could you honestly say you would be excited if bioware announced another dragon age game?yes because I enjoy the dragon age universe and its lore. I keep a small glimmer of hope Bioware isn't going to ruin it, yet I know for sure its going to be shit
>>736905320>That talk with sovereignI think this was a mistake though, in hindsight. The strange, alien ship/creature/entity Sovereign taking time out of his day to shit talk Shepard and gloat about how superior he is was disappointingly human.
>>736899698If you want modern bioware or EA to touch mass effect again you've lost your mind. The studio that produced the original games is long gone, all you'll get now are tranny aliens and lectures about diversity disguised as plotlines.
>>736905615>I need modern day conveniencesshut up zoomer
>>736905891>The strange, alien ship/creature/entity Sovereign taking time out of his day to shit talk Shepard and gloat about how superior he is was disappointingly human. He wasn't gloating nor claiming he's superior, he was merely stating facts. And when Shepard started flinging shit, he cut the communication and would have crushed him if it he wasn't wearing his infinite plot armor tibetan monk shit
>>736905658Here's your super deep legendary PC exclusive gameplay sir
>>736906918you posted popamole again
>>736899698Ah hell no.
>>736899847>>736899698Unrealistic. Recently looked up some lore. The endings idea isn't even bad, it's just the terrible and rushed implementation of it.
>>736902609>with unlimited soldiers and resourcesThis is ridiculous and the only thing worse is people defending it.
>>736899969More scenes with Tali
>>736903553Yet better than 80% of modern villains. Not saying he's good.
>>736899969Replace the reapers with an empire ala the Dominion from DS9. Some of the best parts of the ME series are the grounded parts. You can have your massive war plot and not rely on stupid macguffin plot points.
>>736905891Sure, but shepard seemed like a problem and sovereign was hasty and curious or rather fearful. One could justify it, especially as communication doesn't imply he stops at anything.Reapers as concept don't make sense. They are an amalgam of synthetic and organic life, yet they don't so shit for 50k years. Then they return to the milky way and red laser go brrr.>sovereignAfter getting parts of it, we should get new equipment out of it.>me3My biggest problem was that harbinger lost all interest in shepard. He should hunt him where ever possible.
>>736899969Just make it Mass Effect Andromeda. It had a way more interesting premise.
They remastered it with the legendary edition and it only introduced a plethora of bugs and issues that weren't present in the original versions. Still playable but worse than the originals. As for a full remake, I haven't been interested in giving BioWare money in decades even if by some miracle they could pull it off and make something good for a change.
>>736902851>>736902609ME1 should have ended the threat of the Reapers then and there. The Collectors in 2 should have been a standalone threat, and they could have done something else in 3.Destroying Sovereign in 1 establishes that the Reapers can't just teleport to the Citadel to fuck the galaxy and are instead stuck out in deep space, they should have just washed their hands of it and gone "well they're stuck there now lol, see them in a few thousand years" instead of pulling the>oh uh actually they're only a few months away sikethat ME3 did.
>>736899969>>>736905615Make a full unskippable cutscene of this.
>>736910428Kai Leng is a fucking comically awful character.
>>736899969>ME1Destroying Sovereign indefinitely delays the Reapers to the point they're no longer a threat for the foreseeable future.>ME2Scrap any mention of the Reapers, have the Collectors acting alone. No heat sink reload bullshit, more customizable armor/guns. Scrap the scanning mini-game and let us drive the Mako but better.>ME3No retarded ghost child bullshit. Have your choices from the previous games actually matter. Bring back all of the previous crew members that are still alive instead of this "hey shepard can you help me with my problem okay thanks bye" shit. Throw Kai Leng out of an airlock. Keep the story more grounded instead of some gay chosen one bullshit, can keep the war effort storyline but just make it better than what it was. Get rid of the stupid "war points" mechanic.
The illusive non binary gender non conforming person.
>>736899969For ME3 specifically I'd change the crucible from an instant win condition to a specific weapons technology that targets a reaper weakness. You spend part of the game looking for it, you assemble coalitions to research it and mass produce it, you assemble militaries from across the entire galaxy to fight a conventional war against the reapers armed with technology that makes them killable, but still extremely dangerous. You fight a brutal war that wipes out a large part of the galaxy but it is winnable and through sacrifice and perseverance, you win it.You get a bittersweet ending where the reaper threat is mostly eliminated but you lost friends and teammates along the way, but you unified the galaxy and now with the reaper threat mostly eliminated civilization, though scarred, can be rebuilt.Personally I really enjoyed the diplomacy part of ME3, getting races to bury old grudges and work together against a common enemy and I'd lean heavily into that - in my opinion the crucible plot completely sabotaged an otherwise good game.
>>736899698Death to OP!
