I thought both the Dragon's Dogma games did the "feel like a hero yet?" thing better, because they actually let you choose an ending where the world doesn't get destroyed. The first time I opened the Everfall, I panicked a little cause I thought I'd fucked up. Never felt that way in Spec Ops, just felt like moving on to the next level.

Pretty unrealistic moment, tbqh. US soldiers wouldnt give a damn if they killed a bunch of civvies accidentally.

Irl Walker and the guys would give each other high-fives, take "funny" pictures with the corpses and then write in the report that they wiped out a terrorist camp or something.

Eh the worst stuff to come out of the middle east were the glowies torturing those dudes by making them do gay shit and Marines pissing on bodies. In Ukraine niggas are boiling the flesh off of skulls, raping niggas, gouging out eyeballs, hacking off body parts, raping niggas, etc.
>>
>>736911179
Sounds more like Chechnya
>>
>>736909091
Technically, them hitting civilians was probably not a war crime, because they were targeting enemy combatants, not the civilians themselves. They didn't even know the civilians were there, and it was reasonable for them to assume they weren't. However, the use of the chemical weapon itself against the enemy combatants was probably a war crime.

This game made me rock hard
God i wanna do all these things so fucking bad
>>
>>736909370
Pretty much. I'm prior service and this ptsd shit >>736910918 is talking about is bullshit. War is boring most of the time. When there's stuff happening, it's calculated and controlled but never horrific like spec ops or other media are trying to portray it. A basic job like anything else, where people do what's asked of them and sometimes have fun and shoot the shit with their bros, even in combat scenarios.
I'm guessing ww1, ww2 and vietnam were sketchier and more horrific but modern 21st century combat as a US servicemember is comfy and chill

Really like the twist.

>and then write in the report that they wiped out a terrorist camp or something.

I've seen everyone do this "that civilian building we hit was actually a military target" thing with all the recent wars in the 2020s.
