When there's stuff happening, it's calculated and controlled but never horrific like spec ops or other media are trying to portray it. A basic job like anything else, where people do what's asked of them and sometimes have fun and shoot the shit with their bros, even in combat scenarios.I'm guessing ww1, ww2 and vietnam were sketchier and more horrific but modern 21st century combat as a US servicemember is comfy and chill
