How the FUCK do I git gud at optimization for master difficulty campaign in 1800? I thought 6 weavers and 5 sheep farms along with multiple nearby warehouses would be enough to carry my main island, but production still cant keep up nuking my income for minutes at a time. I don't want to keep getting btfo'd because I can't rush iron fast enough

There's no reason to rush iron. Settle islands with steel beams bought from the neutral factions. Also have ceasefire up 24/7 with the pirates, it will make your life easier. If AI declares war on you, it's not that big of a deal really. They're terrible at micro and you can easily pick off their ships 2v1 in open sea. It will probably be a forever war since taking islands is tough before battle cruisers as they like to build two dozens of turrets. As long as you get one island in the new world, you shouldn't have too much trouble.
