I can appreciate this game, in fact I highly recommend it. But how come its fanbase is full of the mentally degenerated? Is it all the trauma larpers? Is it because of the childish setting? Is it just an RPG maker curse of sorts?I read a reddit post earlier discussing the cast's life from childhood to their teenage years and it was actually pretty sensible. The real world sections should have doubled down on what happened with Aubrey but to everyone else in the group as well. The peak of the game for me was seeing the contrast from the ideal dream Aubrey to her fucked up gang leader shot in the real world.It felt weird to me that she was the only one out of the group that had an actual significant change. Kel and hero are basically the same from the dream world despite not seeing sunny for several years.Kel could have stayed overly happy but be clearly just not in the same headspace as before and often flakes or abandons sunny to hang out with new friends, I guess as a way to just avoid the painHero should have been totally different. Not depressed but just broken mentally. He still tries and does everything he normally does but he just seems like he’s not really all there and isn’t passionate about anything anymore and is less of the mature one and more of the rudely blunt one.
