>>736923640It's kind of a secondary solution to the "bullet sponge" problem, instead of having enemies be super tanky to facilitate the slow survival combat they're going for, they replace the usual sustained fire with a hacking minigame instead which makes it sort of feel more interactive, and burst DPS windows are sort of the in thing nowadays with games where people would rather do a shit ton of damage at once than whittle down a HP bar slowly. Not everyone is going to like it but I can see the vision.
