>>736926934RE4 (original)'s controls were not a product of its time. It was actually really unusual for a shooting game in 2005 to not have strafing in it. RE4 shares a lot of it's DNA with PN.03, it had the same director and a lot of the same staff and RE4 was built off of using a lot of its scrapped ideas, and even that game had side-stepping.
