>>736927889The issue is that forums aren't necessarily a one fits all measurement like discord is (I know there are standard models and lots of people use it, but it's not the closed garden like discord is) and it's more complicated to moderate and you'll probably need someone actually daily there to ban people and such. Discord automates lots of that stuff with their filters and just giving you much more control over who posts and what can be posted.
There's no real benefit to it. Discord can function like a forum, but with the advantages of also having voice chat and real time text chat.
