I think a lot of the discourse surround Nintendo's line-up on /v/ is retarded, but I do think that it lacks a certain degree of variety that drags down my overall impression of them. Pokopia and Tomodachi life are both casual sim games, and though Yoshi may be a puzzle platformer it still is aimed far more at a casual audience. It's a similar issue that Sony has with all its games being cinematic over-the-shoulder action titles or GAAS bullshit, just to a lesser degree. Arguably they've had this issue since 3 Mario RPGs released within a 12 month period.
