>want to replay Divinity: Original Sin 2>remember literally anything & EVERYTHING about Act 1/Fort Joy, especially on Tactician
>>736948071you mean the best part of the game?
>>736948071Play Rogue Trader or WotR then, retard.
>>736948071Just steal some gear, that's how you trivialize any situation in this game because the item scaling system is really just that bad.
>>736948071>beat the game multiple times on classic difficulty>started a replay a couple months ago>get curbstomped on classic>bump it down explorer cause fuck it I'm not gonna start raging over a fucking fourth or fifth replay>STILL struggle to win fightsWhat the fuck happened to me
>>736949146You lost it, kid! You coulda been contender, been a somebody, but you missed your chance and now you're just a bum! A no-good, lousy bum!
>>736948694>uhhh just go hecking play some genuinely terrible games instead bro-chan!
>>736949202>What the hell anon, you bumped it down to Story difficulty?
>>>736949146Tactician Act 1 is sleep inducing, the easiest way to trivialise it is to just go with 4 Summoners, then be sure to get max Thieving on at least 2 characters and steal everything considering it takes ages before the game gives you enough money to deck out even a SINGLE characterJust respec to whatever you want once Act 2 starts because at least then everything will be viable and fun
All act 1 needed was access to the respec mirror. Finding out 3/4s in that you fucking blew it setting up your party is a real mood killer.
>>736948071I hope they tone down the crowd control in the next game, and the harming surfaces
>>736948694Rogue trader is genuinely one of the worst rpgs I've played.
>>736949771>that you fucking blew it setting up your partyWhat an incredibly stupid thing to say.
>>736949146Brain damage? Gas leak? I never played a crpg in my life and cruised through tactician act 1 with a split 2 phys 2 mag party. I didn't ever steal once, the thought didn't even cross my mind. I just bounced from encounter to encounter making note of what was impossible and coming back later to murder everyone. The game fucking sucked and I dropped it in Act 2 out of boredom. Not a hard game at all, just terribly designed and wastes your time. Tying movement to action economy when there are so many teleports is retarded. Positioning is the most important element of a game like this and the devs completely nullified its influence with teleports. There are also so many available stuns. That's even more retarded game design as you can CC anything for free. I swear these devs have never played a real strategy game in their lives. Maybe this is casual baby dnd brainrot? I wouldn't know, I've never looked into dnd.
>>736948071Why is every Larian game so front-loaded? Fort Joy is kino, Cyseal feels like a totally different game to the shit that comes after, Ch1 in BG3 is way,way better than the boring 2 and buggy 3Is it because they've realized journos and normies don't finish games before hyping them?
>>736952092DOS 2 Act 2 is pretty good as well. Act 3 and 4 are weaker though.
>>736949146probably going to the wrong spots at the start. Fort Joy is pretty brutal if you don't know exactly what encounters you can do. Never fight enemies more than 1 level above you>>736951989No all of that stuff is good actually. Tying movement to AP includes a tradeoff between using higher action point attacks and moving to a safer spot. This prevents a player from hitting someone with all their energy and then running away to hide. The cooldowns on movement skills and their energy cost dissuade you from spamming them but are easy enough to play to allow the player to explore the battlefield. The existence of teleport skills allow Larian to create more interesting environments. Without them, you might see a cool spot up high but could never go there as everyone would be huddled in the same space because moving is too high risk. This already mostly happens at the fight at the end of act 1 where the main chokepoint is a deathtrap so everyone huddles around the side. CC spam is crucial to maintain the action economy in your favor. The enemies outnumber you most of the time so you need to knock them down to buy time while whittling down their health. Once you CC and enemy you probably have them killed, but there are a lot of enemies to keep track of. >Not a hard game at allthis is autism. Tactician is challenging because it is easy to make a mistake and suddenly you lose. No need to blatantly lie to impress no one, least of all yourself.
>>736952092Both DOS2 and BG3 had early access testing for the first areas so they spent more time on them
Still not a fan of the respec mirror and endings. Fucking hate Larian
