Was their crashout valid?

Ustio, Recta, and Gebet were split from them under duress because of their economic crisis, and Osea fucked them over with the Great Lakes resource deal.
But they shouldn't have been spending so much money on superweapon research, and they started the war to begin with.
>>
>>736950021
Were they just making superweapons just because they could? Sounds like they knew something nobody else did.
>>
>>736950302
are you saying the Belkans were in contact with aliens

maybe that'll be the plot of AC9 set after the events of AC3
Belka patners up with aliens to destroy the world
>>
>>736951342
Do you think they'll semi-retcon 3 by making it so that GR and Neucom only took over Usea instead of the entire world?
>>
>>736951501
Unfortunately I never got to enjoy the plot of Electrosphere. I beat the butchered version of the game when I was younger and never got to enjoy the plot fully. But I heard it was translated, so I might get to that soon since I've been replaying the PS2 trilogy again.

"valid crashout" is such zoomerspeak but it's so funny
>>
>>736951773
i love crashout, it's like a light version of meltdown and a low energy version of freakout

iirc the international version of Elecrosphere still keeps the main setting where General Resource and Neucom (Neuwork) have become so powerful that their power supersedes that of national governments. So in the setting of AC3, the Belkan, Osean, and Erusean governments are all trumped by General Resource.
Also AC3 JP is definitely worth it, although there's a lot of repeated missions and it's very cutscene heavy

I don't remember anything about Electrosphere except for maybe the last couple missions. I remember going to space or something and then flying through a psychodelic shit. Do you think there's any chance PA will ever touch AC3 again? Maybe a remake or remaster?

There are some new screenshots from AC8 that show some cities have AC3 style buildings now. AC8 is going to take place in 2029, which is 11 years before 3 and the closest in the timeline so far. Also in the first trailer, there were some hidden General Resource crates showing that they might be involved in the FCU-Sotoa war.
Speculation on my part but I think that GR might be funding both sides of the war to make both the FCU and Sotoa weaker so GR can gain more power and influence for themselves, leading to the technocratic corpo world of Electrosphere.
>>
>>736952034
After AC8, I see 3 options if they want to continue the series:
>AC3 full remake
>another prequel like Zero
>AC9 set between 8 and 3
AC3 remake would be the coolest and would tie the whole series together chronologically but I can see Project Aces not wanting to do that since they've only ever remade one game before (AC2 Assault Horizon Legacy).
I could also see them needing to rewrite some things to fit in better with the 4-7 timeline, since Ulysses and all the subsequent wars on Usea weren't a thing yet when AC3 was originally written.
>>
>>736952884
My fear is that AC8 might be the last game a lot of the veterans at PA work on. Watching the dev diary that was released a few days ago, you can see that they look really tired. Idk, I might be talking shit, but I can see PA passing the torch to some fresh blood for their next project, since it will take a few years for it to come out. Just look at how long AC8 took to be announced. If that's the case, a remake of Electrosphere would be a very risky thing to do, a lot of responsability for a new team.

>>736953194
Yeah, most the current squad at Project Aces has been there since AC5, and apparently both 7 and 8 have had messy development cycles. I wouldn't be surprised if Kono is setting it up so that 8 is his last game before retirement.
Maybe the better thing for them to do would be remaking AC1 or doing a fresh prequel game so the new blood can shoot their own shot at AC before attempting to take on Electrosphere.
>>
>>736952884
a full remake of 3 is way too ambitious. the missions are like... 2 minutes long and if you tried to make EVERY mission into a proper one then thats an assload of development time and resources required. an AC3 remake would either be like the international release with just 1 route or heavily cut down 2 routes.

Project Aces can make a squad mate waifu, but they can't give us a WSO like in PW? For how little she has to offer, Prez left quite an impression on the fanbase. Shame there aren't a lot of two-seaters to choose from.

If you get around to it, do Express Lane in the F-14. Eye-Tee's dialogue is worth it.

Shamelessly shilling a new indie AC-like that's specifically based on Electrosphere called Supermaneuver.

They can always retcon AC3. Make it so that it was actually just a VR sim program that tackles a "what if" scenario if corpos actually took over and did not actually happen In real Strangereal timeline.
>>
>>736949775
So are Belkeks Nazi Jews or Jewish Nazis?
>>
>>736956341
If they were going to do that then they would have already started doing it. I think remaking AC3 and then making a sequel where Nemo is a rival could be an interesting angle. It could also show that despite all their simulations they still couldn't account for an Ace coming out of nowhere.
