Nemesis drops items when you put him down in the original RE3.

Wrong, I think that it's pretty hard on professional, in fact I would say that it is perfectly hard

seems impossible in the 2002 remake of RE1 to ever get soft locked. You'd have to be incredibly low iq

Played through original RE for the first time and ended the game with 20+ grenade launcher ammo and 10+ magnum rounds while clearing most of the mansion
Currently going through RE2 and have 30 shotgun shells, 30+ pistol rounds and a full magnum while also blasting almost every zombie I come across
>>
RE4 is not a modern Resident Evil game.
RE9 shares both the rationing of RE1/2 and the arcade-y gunplay of RE4-6.
>>
>If I ration them
aka run past every enemy because original RE AI is stupid and as long as you get the right angle you're never getting grabbed or swiped

why did she transition

People are always like
>Ugh... the earlier games... they were the REALLY hard ones...
Then they're like 2 and a half hours long and feature 2 bosses and a reskinned enemy as a boss and they're actually easy as shit.
>>
Lol anyways did you see what trump did to Mexico. They built a fucking wall around their gulag. Mexicans get paid like a dollar a week and America gets like 99% of the profits. It’s actually fucking the most insane shit ever, Americans have been operating a gulag the size of an entire country for this entire time basically. Thats literally a work camp for Americas profit. You should look up some Mexican stories, shits like having me cackling because I’m completely fucked in the head and schizophrenic. It’s the most retarded shit you’ll ever see. Good deal for the boys though, they’re living it up. That’s like probably one of the biggest crimes happening. But it’s a hard situation because Mexicans are so horny that they’ll rape American women if we paid them fairly. I personally donate most of my income from not working to Mexicans, which has improved their quality of life dramatically. If we’re being like totally real, earths a completely lost cause and it’s time to kill all the women to prevent more capturing of our main soul into these *individuals*. Protect the main soul network from these whores.

There are more bullets in RE3 than there are in RE4.

Why does everyone who criticizes 4 give 3 a pass?
It's as much of an action game as 4 is.

Based on how Leon looks like an adventure time character, probably 2011
>>
Well it just makes Jill more impressive, she actually had to struggle while Leon is just supermanning it up for 4 hours
>>
>>736950814
So like, was this always just bait?

Cuz even RE1 had you leaving the Guardhouse with so much friggin ammo that you could go fucking nuts with just blasting away the hunters, but the pictured Jill is from RE3, where they somehow give you even MORE ammo and have the fukken ammo crafting mechanic where you end up churning up shittons of enhanced crafted ammo.

I didn't get a chance to try the classic RE games until emulation really caught up and I was in a real retro streak, but shit like this and a lot of the other statements about RE being a survival focused game are just pure and unfettered bullshit that no one who has actually played the games would believe. Was this just old bait by boomers that young'uns then took seriously?
>>
>>736952950
New Jill looks like a crack whore. I bet she'd jungle your balls for a baggie with a teaspoon of baking soda in it.

I'm currently playing through Resident Evil Requiem, and I haven't encountered a single moment where I simply had no ammo at all, or no way to acquire ammo. The game's crafting system lets you make handgun ammo for Grace, and it throws scrap at you. You can also breakdown knives for scrap as well, but you usually always find a decent amount of ammo in rooms/pots and what not.

I'm about 80% of the way through the game, I think? Once you get to the Raccoon City/Leon segment you're already strong, and you can further upgrade Leon's weapons and get new ones, so you get even stronger. The game isn't really hard except for certain scripted fights that are horseshit and designed to be annoying to the player. The "bosses" weren't very strong, at least so far, but Requiem doesn't seem to have a lot of bosses. You get more like "elite enemies" but the Requiem gun is so fucking broken it's hilarious, granted you don't have a lot of ammo for it but once you get the crafting recipe for it and start finding Rare Metal you can make bullets for it, granted the metal is limited. If you just save Requiem ammunition for the tough/heavier encounters you're pretty much going to be fine. I can't think of one encounter in the entire Clinic Center that was hard, maybe the underground basement power station bullshit.

The Chef is probably the strongest enemy in that entire area, but I imagine some shots with the Requiem takes him out fast, or you can wait till later and fight him when you've gotten some upgrades. It's retarded to attempt to fight him with a handgun as it took like 18 shots in the head to take him down. If you just happen to have like 30-40 rounds of handgun ammo, or a surplus then you can kill him, but it'll take half of it. You might as well shoot him like 10 times then finish him with a Requiem shot. Raccoon City has harder encounters than anything you'll encounter as Grace at the Clinic, but I'm also playing on Modern and not Classic, so not sure how much harder it is

Pro RE4 is BRUTAL.

>>
>ammo scarcity in RE3

lmao
>>
>>736955539
A large amount of gamers are intensely afraid of things like finite ammo or time. Even if the actual limits are not realistically a problem, just the idea of it feels immersible oppressive.

Like Fallout 1 has a time limit, but it's 500 days. If you did something like explore every map square one by one, and only went to the objective locations last instead of following clues to them, you'd still easily finish long before it was an issue. Still the theoretical issue gets people looking for patches to disable it entirely.
>>
>>736955539
It mostly has to do with the limited inventory. A lot of people would just carry extra ammo for one of their weapons and reload the other at the item box.
>>
>>736955964
RE4 is easy as shit even on pro, the remake is significantly harder

>>
>>736950814
In ogRE3 you can easily learn to dodge 90% of the enemies, included most Nemesis encounters, making most enemies optional.
Good luck trying to do that in ogRE4 even in sections were all doors are unlocked
>>
>>736950814
RE4’s difficulty comes from timing things correctly and the need to do a complete 180 to see what’s behind you. that said if you get lazy and stop getting consistent pistol headshots you’ll notice that you’re now using secondary weapons against regular ganados.
>>
>>736953607
This vastly depends on version. If you played the PS2 port or later you have about 4-5 less enemies spawned in at once in water room.

Coincidentally enough, I've felt for a long time that Dead Rising was a dark horse for Capcom's better survival horror game, since at the end of the day, the conceit of the genre is routing and management, so navigating the Mall with a time crunch and having to herd survivors better wove into that concept than how Resident Evil ever executed things, yet that's also another game where its mere existence often drives people away

>>736957192
Which in itself feels silly, because
A) "Extra ammo for one" is upwards of 100+ HG bullets in even RE1, and even after hitting your stride and you're blasting everything
B) A fully loaded shotty is enough to not fight but obliterate most things actually in your way to reloading it at the box, so with it you're not surviving, you're cruising
C) RE2-RE3 take noticeably fewer HG bullets to kill enemies compared to RE1, while also having even more bullets, so any possibility of limited supplies and inventory being an issue goes down even more
D) If there's a strength to RE1, it's that it's very well paced and naturally directs the player to and through areas in such a way that they rarely ever have need to carry more than 1 key item at a time, and going to store or nab another is just a very minor detour, so even while playing as Chris on my first playthrough, it wasn't that hard to just carry shotgun shells too if I wanted. Not to mention that his HP and the general ease of the game meant I had so many green herbs lying around that, partway through the game, I could just mentally note where they were in the mansion on the ground and stop by if I ever needed them.

And then RE2 just gives both characters 8 so it just becomes a complete fucking nonfactor aside from maybe shlepping the chess pieces around
