The recent deluge of Clem threads has prompted me to play Walking Dead Season 4, which I had never done before. Here follows my long winded report.Overall it's worth playing. It's tighter than the previous two seasons and sticks to universal themes, rather than relying entirely on interpersonal squabbling. I rank them 1 = 4 > 2 > 3. The final episode is very good and elevates the season. There's actual combat with tactics, and segments where you can walk freely around. Even some shooting sections. Clem can make also friends with a big dog, which you would expect to play a role in combat, but it only does this once in a cutscene. The setting is good. A boarding school for disobedient teenagers. Pretty varied characters. The best part by far is raising AJ, Clem's little murder toddler. Being a mom is an unusual role in vidya and is done quite well here. He's a good foil for her. There's an undercurrent of doom, like the last desperate struggle before dying. There's a sense that Clem knows she's going make a fatal mistake sooner or later and is teaching AJ what he needs to do when that happens. At the beginning Clem has virtually no supplies, gets swarmed by walkers and wrecks her car, and the boarding school she ends up at is barely more than a ruin. I would have preferred less of a setpiece opening. Maybe just have her run out of gas within sight of the school. This would let you retain the car as a plot device for later. There are a couple of callbacks to season 1 which work pretty well. There are also some philosophical elements:>raising your child to be better than you>what, if anything, it's like to be a walker >when you're the oldest person around, having to pretend that you know what you're doing>the experience of growing up in a world adrift from all cultural normsCont.
>>736956103The meat of the game is talking to AJ and his responses to the events, like pic related. He feels like a real kid, taking everything seriously like kids do. It simulates well the experience of getting a difficult kid to do what he's told without causing him to resent you. The payoff for raising him properly is well done. Things you tell him have gameplay consequences later down the road, where he acts on his own initiative based on what he's learned. Clem's various approaches to parenting him are all interesting and well acted, and his various responses are fun to see.But it does stretch credulity that he's only 5 years old. A bigger timeskip, so Clem is 18 or 19 and AJ is 7 or 8 would have made more sense.Cont.
>>736956125The game suffers from Telltale going bankrupt midway through. Episode 1 is too dense and rushed, having to introduce a setting, several characters, and then deliver a crisis at the end. It should have been two episodes so that there's time to develop the boarding school setting and inhabitants, who are all pretty interesting. Episodes 3 and 4 were produced after a delay, with different funding, and are much improved as a result. There's also a hermit kid living in the woods in peace with the walkers. His part is done very well.Hanging out with them is good, what there is of it. You play a couple of truth or dare games, and there is a party, but more would be welcome, such as helping in the kitchen or finding a VHS player and putting on a movie night. This latter one would be good for interacting with your kid, because one of his toys is merch from a show he's never seen.Ep 1 contains a couple of survival tasks, like hunting or fishing, and more of these would have been great. There is a greenhouse, and there could have been other facilities in the school that could be developed, like a wood shop or metal shop or a library. Like a base building, resource management minigame which would pay off later. You might think those herbs that Rosie, the fat southern medic girl, is listing in the pic could be used for medicine or food, and you'd have to choose, but nope it's just fluff. The weakest parts are the battles with raiders. These are very flashy but not what this game is best at. In these sections Clem just turns into an action heroine which is a tedious use of the character and setting. All of the antagonists are sympathetic in some way, which is neat.Cont.
>>736956180There are a couple of romance options, one lesbian and one normal. The lezzo one, Violet, is completely unmotivated and has zero chemistry. She's ugly, has a bad attitude, and didn't even show an interest in AJ, who is Clem's entire reason for living. Maybe if there had been an extra episode at the start it may have made sense. There's a hotter lesbo later on but she's not available. The straight one, Louis, is better motivated. This zesty piano-playing negro had been jestermaxxing the entire time trying to get Clem's attention, and he was even nice to her kid, bringing him new clothes and playing with him. It's still very rushed but it's just about plausible. He's completely harmless, more like a pet than a proper partner. I let Clem smooch him because I think mommy deserves to get piped once in a while for stress relief, and the three of them make a believable little family. But perhaps Louis is a little TOO zesty to satisfy Clem's needs.Realistically no one here would interest her. They're all either freaks or retarded kids compared to /ourgirl/. Keeping her single is probably the canon way to play it.Cont.
>>736956240In conclusion, Season 4 is a big step up from the previous "baseballer cucks his brother" season, and delivers actual interesting themes. It even very adequately bridges the gap from season 3 in a playable flashback in the final episode. It defintely feels like there's a "right" way to play it. The ending will reflect your choices but one set of choices feels more natural than the rest. The delayed episodes 3 and 4 deliver well on the setup of episodes 1 and 2. The ending is somehow both unexpected and inevitable, and very well done. It's somewhat rushed and budget-starved and misses its full potential, but has a direction and sticks to it, and manages to succeed in the end. It's good that it was possible to complete the season even after Telltale went bust. It's the perfect thematic ending for the Clementine character, but a remaster of this season with extra content would be good.I strongly recommend it.
>you made Clementine kiss a blackThat's rape. You raped her. She didn't want to but you forced her by clicking the [Kiss] button
>>736956294Good read OP, agree for the most part

The assault on the paddleboat was kino
>>736958532>Clem! AJ needs milkies!>But goofball, you're 10 years old! I haven't breastfed you since I was 12>AJ needs milkies badly!
>>736958348Where is this game taking place anyway? I mean, a paddle steamer?I guess they're meandering around Dixie
>>736958532where would clementine find a brawhy would she even bother? she never wore one when she was younger
>>736956103Season 4 is the Toy Story 3 of TWDG. Very unneeded, but proves to be a definitive and strong conclusion to the series.
>>736959452Traded for it She has a sexily exposed sports bra all through season 3Her active lifestyle means that her massive milkers require support
>>736959481Imagine if they never got funding to finish the season That would have sucked major dong
>>736959213virginia/ west virginia iircs1 was entirely in georgia, s2 starts in north carolina and ends in ohio (wellington) or apparently tennessee (howe's), and s3 is also in virginia honestly it's pretty weird why clementine is still roughly the same area in s4, considering that she's had the car for a couple years at that point
>>736959521it would be better for her mental health if she forgoes the bra and keeps her top open
>>736956103How can you play through season 4 when only two seasons ever came out?
>>736959452>why would she even bother?Prevents walkers grabbing her tits
>>736959714walkers only try to grab her hair lee never said anything about the milk drinkers
>>736958348Before playing S4 I had the idea that it would be cool to use the blood trick and combine it with a horde to use it as a method of attack/infiltration so to me it was the coolest shit that they actually did it and Clem could get behind walkers and use them as cover from snipers when they shot.
>>736958532
>>736959714Walkers might be flesh eating zombies even they draw the line at sexual assault.
>>736959747>Keep those titties small >I... I will, Lee
>>736959452Some kind of support is helpful. But you're right, the elastic in bras would not last long. She'd probably make herself a corset of some kind.
>>736959619>game ends with S4E2 with the kids triumphant in taking Abel as a hostage and them getting ready for revengeI remember people saying even that was a decent ending to the series back then.
How does Ruby stay so fat ?

my clementine will die a handholdless, hugless, kissless virgin
>>736960758Yeah it was a positive note at least. But the whole series was leading up to pic related, Clem ending up in the same position as Lee did, and without that it would have been unsatisfying.
>>736960973My Clem is too innocent to know what dating is. She went on the lesbian stargazing date and was completely oblivious to Violet's advances, and friendzoned her.

>That 'AJ wants to sleep in Clem's bed' animation
>>736961028Wait, she fucking dies??Thanks Telltale, I hate you Telltale
Maybe I'm biased, but I relaly liked Lilly in S1 and sorta wish Clem and her could be not allies, but at least on better terms in S4. I understand time has damaged both of them and Lilly is straight up a villain in Season 4, but Idk, I liked her a lot in S1 and I felt her inclusion in S4 was sorta wasted.
>>736962018no the game invents a cop out to save herthe better thing to do would've been to have aj get bit and clementine have to deal with the lee situation all over again
>the best part by far is raising AJi'm glad you enjoyed season 4, but this is exactly why I stopped playing an hour or two into series 3 and dropped it for good. i just fucking hate kids in any medium that have any meaningful screen-time, they're just so fucking annoying.1+2 is pure soul and all you need for a yearly/bi-yearly playthrough. godbless.
>>736962029OP here. Yes, I felt that the spectacle of the raider assault took focus from the interaction with Lilly. I wanted to learn more about her settlement. I was kind to Lilly every chance I could get and it was pretty good. That's what I meant by "all antagonists are sympathetic", including Abel who loses his arm.
>>736962107Different anon here. I didn't like AJ himself. Annoying little ratbag. But I liked seeing my girl being a mother and acting all grown up.
>>736962107>>736962158the biggest problem with aj in s4 and somewhat in s3 is that clementine's entire character and motivation became focused on himi can kinda get it from a character standpoint, aj is the only think keeping her sane post s2 and when she thinks he's dead she was just aggressively going through the motions until something killed her until she learned that he was alivebut it still sucks because clementine's actual character was a big highlight in s1 and s2, when she wasn't just 'muh aj'
>>736962158>But I liked seeing my girl being a mother and acting all grown up.Yeah I totally get the sentiment, although this is how I felt with Clem in all of season 2. She's a massive driving force behind everything that happens in the season, vs her in season 1 where she was very passive. Her dealing with Kenny near the end of S2 was one of my favorite parts of the entire series, it really showed just how far she's come in such a quick amount of time. Compare that Clem to the Clem we find in the treehouse, like night and day.
>>736962107Season 3 is dogshit. The kids there are awful AJ is irritating at first but becomes based by the end
>>736962227I like that in season 4 she's pretty cheerful. She is focused on her kid but not to the exclusion of all else. She plays games with her new dipshit friends and goes to rescue those others. In season 3 she's just edgy and waiting to die
>>736962495perhaps the most baffling decision in s3 was that the devs made marianna likeable on purpose solely so the player would be upset when she died and you were stuck with gabe
>>736962227S3 had the opportunity to be kino by having Clem be free of AJ for a while and explore if she really wants to raise a baby, show more of her struggles and explore other scenarios with Clem. But that story wasn't about her, even when the most interesting thing was how she was processing grief by becoming more cold and violent. Speaking as someone that likes AJ, the problem really is that S4 is a natural conclusion but the mid-point that should have be used to explore more and bridge the gap to the end, is a giant black hole of nothing that just wasted time.>>736962720I like when she's happy and that she's trying to fit with the rest, she doesn't force leadership even though she's by far the most capable of the kids and could have just taken over if she felt in a really bad mood.
Reminder that this exists. She ends up useless in Canada with a near sighted Jewish girl as a wife.
>>736963063No that doesn't exist, see >>736956294She quite clearly tells AJ "I'll never leave you again"
>>736963063Shit is gonna get retconned because Kirkman has no integrity and will fold to the fanbase
>>736963162It was funny it literally starts with her leaving AJ.
I liked the combat in the finale How control kept switching back and forth between AJ and Clem And when you tried to do a quicktime thing as Clem it was impossible because you were so weak until AJ ran over to help you.And I really liked how they kept the fakeout going right to the end. AJ peacefully fishing alone, walking back to school, then fade to black and you think it's over.
>>736963381i found the reuse of 'take us back' to be really tackythe games consistently had good ending/ credits music and i was disappointed they went so hard on the s1 'member berries
>>736963441It's been so long since I played S1, I didn't even recognise the song.Lilly was a pretty egregious memberberry, considering how little was done with her.
>>736963381That was nice, good way to involve gameplay with the story. I don't think they did that before, controlling the actions of two characters for a sequence.>>736963441Sorta agree but I can forgive them because they did it to save Safe and Sound for last and to me that's just as good, I love it.https://youtu.be/_dAOhepWxds?si=l3FXOETIMob_Jkx2
>>736963601>Safe and SoundLove this I looked it up straight away after finishing the game last night
What the FUCK was he thinking??
>>736963714trauma fucked him uphe's not entirely retarded though, clementine can argue that aj capping some assholes can be the right call if done for the right reasons
>>736962916>be free of AJ for a while and explore if she really wants to raise a babyYeah and Javier even straight up tells her>Btw you're a woman now so you could get pregnant if you want haha which is a good setup to her thinking about what she wants Then you could play her POV goofing off with Gabe and acting more childlike. Then coming to her senses like "wtf am I doing, this is kids stuff, I need to find my baby"
>>736962095It's not a cop out. It's telegraphed right from the beginning with Abel getting bitten then showing up missing an arm. Literally spelled out in a conversation>Clem that guy got bit, how come he's still alive. >You can survive a walker bite, AJ, if you cut it off right awayIt fits with the whole theme of AJ learning to make hard decisions, not always doing what he's told, and thinking for himself. Raising your kids to be smarter than you are. It was foreshadowed heavily the whole season that she was going to die at the end. All the talk about how she shot Lee, often reminding AJ that he needs to kill her if she gets bitten, and Lilly telling her "one day, you'll die protecting him". So if she actually died then the audience would learn nothing new.But if she survives missing a leg, that means that her life has moved to a new phase where she's dependent on her child. This is what happens in real life. She's become an elder, more or less immobilised, but everyone relies on her for leadership. At the end she's making plans with Louis/Violet to send a team to trade with a passing caravan. So it's a metaphor for aging and your children growing up, but you're still alive and useful, for a while.>spoilerNo that would be stupid, actual misery porn that has no meaning.
Cut Minerva (literal who)Boost Lilly's role
>>736963883Undead Clem = sex monster Look at that all-natural eye shadow
>>736963923Other way around. Lilly returning was just stunt casting.Increase the role of the missing kids and elaborate on their lives as child soldiers
>>736963063You're telling me you know better than the Ignatz-award-winning author of "On a Sunbeam"?Excuse me while I scoff
>>736963883abel surviving getting bit was also stupid, you can clearly see him getting bit on his collaraj getting bit would be a neat inversion of the lee scene, where the guardian has to deal with the child getting bit but unlike last time, clementine has much more experience and knows how to save bite victims clementine surviving getting her leg lopped off by a child wielding a fire axe is just fantastical, she'd bleed out before he was done wrapping her leg uppete in s2 tells clementine that point blank in s2e2 if you ask him about amputating his leg, and their situation was somewhat less urgent that aj and clementine's
>>736959630>it's pretty weird why clementine is still roughly the same area in s4, considering that she's had the car for a couple years at that pointGas would be extremely rare, so she'd only travel when necessary. She should have converted the car into one of those wood burning monstrosities.
>>736956103Based season 4 enjoyer
>>736964089i guess, but there are a couple moments where clementine and aj talk about how often they're on the road and how they never stay in one place too long it just sounds like she's driving around in circles
>>736956240>Keeping her single is probably the canon way to play it.This is the way
>>736964043>unlike last time, clementine has much more experience and knows how to save bite victims Ah ok that's a step forward I thought you meant she'd just have to kill AJ>clementine surviving getting her leg lopped off by a child wielding a fire axe is just fantasticalTrue. Kirkbride wrote a Reddit post from AJ's POV trying to explain it, still seemed very far fetched
>>736964126>it just sounds like she's driving around in circlesWoman driver Can't steer Can't read a mapShould have let the kid drive after all
>*Is the most retarded-and-kino scene in the series*Sex with zombie Minnie!
>>736964160>women driver, can't steershe did kill kenny the first time she drove a car
>>736964128Yep Go on the lez date, but keep it just friends Save Louis from being kidnapped, not Violet Violet will be mad at you but will get over it Louis would have been much more seriously injuredEveryone's happy, Clem doesn't have to be a coalburner or rugmuncher
>>736964187My jaw dropped, it was simultaneously cringe and based It was like an anime>*Ethereal singing*>NO! The boy will be mine! Forever!!!!!
>>736964137i don't really care for aj but just killing him off would just be edge for the sake of edgeunless we're talking about the turbo edgy s2 cut, where him dying is inevitable
>>736958532Semen demon
>>736964209saving louis is the morally correct choice in that situation anyways he's already lost his fight and is in the middle of getting dragged away, while violet is still holding off her captor and only chokes after clementine saves louis it's very annoying that you can't explain that she got caught because she sucked harder than clementine thought she would
>>736964089I really like these wood gasification cars. I bought a book about the conversion process. It's actually not that complicated.
>>736964187Minnie was so freaking hotI have no doubt Clem would flip her in an instant given the chance.
>>736964276Lmao Louis is such a jobberHe's lucky Clem likes silly non-threatening men she can protect
>>736964339i think duck is always on her mind on a subconscious levelin the s2 lee scene clementine can talk about how she feels bad that she never apologized for calling him a crybaby after the pillow bug incident, an innocuous little thing that happened over two years priori wonder how he would've turned out if he hadn't gotten bit
>>736964423He'd have been like Ellis from L4D2
>>736964546Well we certainly know that Clem likes Ellis
Banner Saga style sequel several years later where Clem has to lead the Ericson's crew cross-country to California, where conditions are better. Maybe give her more kids eg a pair of male/female twins and only one can survive
>Louis: Age 18-19>Violet: Age 18-19>Clem: AGE SIXTEENUh.... age gap much?Kinda problematic, seems groomy
>>736956240>There's a hotter lesbo later on but she's not available.Translator's note: OP means Minerva
Decent read anon, though I have 2 complaints: "muh episode length" is objectively retarded, yes more content would have been good, but the runtime of the games is 1>4>2>3. 4 is far from being rushed just because it has less "episodes" when the limits are totally arbitrary. (Also episode 1 of S4 is the best episode in the entire series). And Violet does have chemistry and does care for AJ, if you give her the box she tells him "Thanks again for the box, you're pretty cool AJ" and he himself later says he likes most of the kids and cites Vi among them.My only real complaint about the season apart from the typical "Omar is completely useless and Aasim got shafted" is that the story was incredibly obviously written for Vi at every turn, the story is objectively better or makes more sense if you pick Vi every time: >learning about Louis requires you to not do your job correctly on your first day having to prove yourself in the school for you and AJ to stay, it's horrendously retarded for Clem to do that>going with Vi allows you to know Brody better for the end of the episode and resolve their conflict>appealing to Vi obviously has a better chance of working against Marlon than appealing to his best friend>Vi is much closer to the sisters and Tenn that Lou>Vi defends you all the time and spends the 2 weeks timeskip planning defenses with you, whereas Lou avoids you, so the Lou romance literally does not have time to develop>Lou getting his tongue cut off is kino and great motivation to kill Lilly>Vi reacts more to Tenn's death, for obvious reasons>If you didn't save Vi, you won't understand that Minnie is singing the same song that used to bring them home since you'll only hear Lou plays the piano without the lyricsAs for romance, Vi is the only one at the school with enough maturity and experience to truly understand Clem and help her cope with her rough life, no other kid comes close. Also Marlon did nothing wrong before he hit Brody.
>>736965315She has a criminal lack of porn
>>736965439>used to bring them home*hopeIf I could ameliorate the season, I'd make it so>you don't have a choice and go on the fishing mission in E1 first, then on the hunting mission the day after>During the timeskip, you get a 1 week timeskip, then Lou apologizes and gets closer to you/stops avoiding you, and you could use this time to get to know the other kids better, before another timeskip>Give Mitch a less retarded death, he's supposed to be "good in a fight" but he dies without throwing a single punch and screaming that he's coming. Have him attack Lilly by surprise and telling Tenn to run, he overpowers Lilly for a few seconds before one of her goons manages to distract him for a second so Lilly has the time to pull out her knife and stab him in the throat before realizing what she's even done.
>>736965439>Vi is the only one at the school with enough maturity and experience to truly understand ClemNot really She doesn't have any experience at all of anything outside those walls.None of them do.I do agree that the Minerva/Tenn encounter works better with Violet >Lou getting his tongue cut off is kino and great motivation to kill LillyMaybe but I don't want to kill Lilly. And it's just too cruel to Louis.
>>736965439>Lou getting his tongue cut off is kino and great motivation to kill LillyI don't want to kill Lilly though So I don't want to feel I have to
>>736965439>Vi defends you all the timeYeah for no obvious reason at all, she doesn't even know you when she's going to bat for you>spends the 2 weeks timeskip planning defenses with you, >whereas Lou avoids you, so the Lou romance literally does not have time to developThat's true I suppose. You could headcanon it that way. But you don't actually see Vi and Clem talk in a budding romance way. I just feel that on the very first day, Louis is putting the moves on Clem and she's being all like "aww you're a goofball" whereas Vi is all businesslike.I'm still convinced that there needed to be more time building friendships at the school before she gets kicked out. They have a pretty nice first day, then they toss her out, they let her back in, then there's a timeskip. Too much happens offscreen. But yeah the Tenn/Minerva bridge spectacular works better with Vi there.
>>736965824>You don't have a choice and go on the fishing mission in E1 first, then on the hunting mission the day after>During the timeskip, you get a 1 week timeskip, then Lou apologizes and gets closer to you/stops avoiding you, and you could use this time to get to know the other kids better, before another timeskipYeah these are good, both of them. I'm not sure why you even need a timeskip. They could rig those defenses two or three days, and the raiders have no reason to wait two weeks.>Have him attack Lilly by surprise and telling Tenn to run, he overpowers Lilly for a few seconds before one of her goons manages to distract him GoodMitch's death is just another Walking Dead Idiotic Death special. Just lazy writing.
TWD (at least the first season) is like the antithesis of David Cage games, because the choices don't matter but at least the writing is decent
>>736965439BASEDBASEDBASED.
>>736965439>Violet spends the 2 weeks timeskip planning defenses with youJust because two girls work on a project together doesn't mean they're going to kiss. When they play the "bother the new girl" card game, Clem has an option to say "there was a boy once" but not "there was a girl once"So the logical conclusion is that Clem likes boys, not girls, and that's why Louis has an advantage even if he acts like a douchebag
>>736966317>This is really nice, Vi, but....>I just like the feeling of a man inside me
>>736965439I do agree that the Violet route works better, either platonically or romantic, although I give credit to Telltale for being the one choice-based game with a love triangle arc where both love interests are pretty equally likable and neither is forced onto the player (Unlike Kate in season 3)
>>736966446season 3 felt natural ending with kate, but at the same time it did feel forced "having" to have it be that way.
I don't mind Clem being a lezo but I don't want her kissing ugly bitches who look like hags and have smoker's voices
>>736966446>Unlike Kate in season 3This was so badThere was literally no alternative if you don't play along with her tawdry schemeSeason 3 was just hours of nothing
>>736965834>She doesn't have any experience at all of anything outside those walls. She's by far the most experienced, considering all the shit she went through even before the apocalypse, then undergoing massive changes as revealed by Minnerva, from someone timid to someone cynical who's an accomplished fighter outside the walls.>I don't want to kill LillyCringe>But you don't actually see Vi and Clem talk in a budding romance way.Because both of them (if you play Clem that way at least) are not that type of person, they don't outwardly flirt like Lou does, and Lou does it in big part as a coping mechanism, like all his jokes.>>736966317Yes>>736966339>Just because two girls work on a project together doesn't mean they're going to kiss.Sure, but at least Vi interacts daily with Clem during this time, whereas Lou is directly stated to have avoided you the entire time and he only apologizes basically 2 hours before you can kiss him. >Clem has an option to say "there was a boy once" but not "there was a girl once"If you consider Gabe x Clem to matter, you deserve to be stuck with Jane instead of Kenny (Jane's ending is the only one where Clem can kiss Gabe btw, shit role model). Clem never had a girl her age near her in the entire series before that point anyway, the closest thing was Sarah, and she was dead weight.>>736966446Indeed, but as a complete Vi shipper, I still have to recognize that Lou shippers got shafted during the writing, he's the inferior choice at every turn when considering the overall story, even if his personal development itself is good.
>>736966545>If you consider Gabe x Clem to matterShe meant Duck obviously>as a complete Vi shipperOh, I hadn't noticed
>>736966605She can talk about "having feelings for him", 8 year old Clem wasn't having romantic feelings for anyone.
>>736966491>season 3 felt natural ending with kate, but at the same time it did feel forced "having" to have it be that way. She's not really forced if you pursue her I suppose, but in my playthrough I rejected her at every turn and yet the game still treated it like I was completely going along with it in-order to force the drama with David in the last episode, which was extremely frustrating
>>736966545>Jane's ending is the only one where Clem can kiss Gabe btw, shit role modelThat's only if Gabe diesIf she goes alone to rescue Gabe for the Kate/Gabe/Javi ending I think we can assume they expressed their feelings physically on the way backGod Season 3 was dogshit
>>736966678That's exactly how I played as well, until pretty much the end of the game (I wanted to pursure the cute asian nurse, but the game said no)
>>736966545>he only apologizes basically 2 hours before you can kiss him.Yet Clem can STILL go to his transparently-obvious piano date, and will forgive him being a dick and even throw herself at himSuch is the effect Louis has on underage women.
>>736966678Whether you reject her or not, it doesn't change the fact that she has feelings for you and that David is an abusive insane asshole, so of course you're going to take the blame, David always was beating up and intimidating people anytime he felt threatened by anything, the pathetic bitch lied to Kate about how he would take care of the children (who are HIS, not Kate's), then he wanted to bail out without telling anyone to go back to the army, forcing Kate and you to take care of the kids. And he didn't give a shit about his family so he never went to check on them when they waited for him for 3 months. The biggest issue with S3 is that too many characters are just shit and disappear from the story with no explanation if you don't kill them (Joan/Clint/Max/Lonnie), Eleanor makes absolutely no sense, and Badger is the worst cartoon villain possible, he doesn't have a single characteristic other than "me bad guy". The romance with Kate is cute to somewhat salvage the season, but if you don't pursue her, then this season is really fucking bleak with no one to like except Javi.>>736966795He can't keep getting away with it!

>>736967035Nigga looks like Jayden Smith
>>736967035Kenny told me no urbans
>>736965439Before the timeskip, Louis brings fresh clothes for AJ, and you can tell him you missed him, and you have the opportunity to tell AJ that you were never mad at Lou for kicking you out. Basically you can play Clem as totally in love with Lou if you want toAlso there's the archery scene after the time skip and before the date.
>>736967157Not my Kenny!
>>736967228Sure but it's still a bit weird how incredibly fast that requires Clem to fall in love with Lou. It's not impossible, but really fast. More time at the school in general would have been great.
>>736967091I think he is the in-universe equivalent of Jayden Smith>spoiled rich kid
ClementineSweet peaYou are woman nowYou must marryWill you choose>charming but arrogant rich boy who treats you like garbage but throws you a bone of affection from time to timeor>dour and troubled lesbian who is devoted to you but has difficulty showing it
>>736967373But Lee, I want this one
>>736967428Only Clempussy would be strong enough to turn a fag
>>736967428I'll always be seething that you cannot 100% the collectibles without getting a bad end with him.
>>736966849>biggest issue with S3 is that too many characters are just shit and disappear from the story with no explanationYeah Tripp, Elanor, that black guy who crashes out, can't remember his name. Jesus is there being a mary sue. Ava. Just too many people and they have to end up killing them off because it gets out of hand.
Why does season 4 feel like a sidequest in a much bigger story
>>736967485I think him being dead served AJ's plot better.
>>736967565It's all in one location and the stakes are quite low. No travel aspect like S1 and 2When it started with her driving on the highway I thought we'd be travelling a lot more.
>>736967292Fan artist challenge - draw Clementine the way she is, without making her more brown.
>>736967521Conrad, who had so much work done for him so he can survive to the end, but 90% of players still choose to kill him. It's one of S3's biggest failures, so many choices are 80/90% on one side due to how easy they are, and it's not "muh Clem bias", choosing Clem's idea is almost always objectively correct.Ava is so woke it starts to become funny, she's what, 1m60 and weighs half Tripp's weight but she beats him with a single punch? She's a twig, "David's right hand man" my ass, any normal man could break her in two. And she's not even seen to actually use weapons, so we're supposed to believe that 45kg woman is beating up people with kung fu.>>736967598You could make a case for it, but I'm not letting that bitch get away with all she's done since Carley, and I adore AJ's line about how "Marlon wasn't a monster but YOU are!... Bang.". AJ has become a hardened survivor who can now distinguish between a good person and a bad person, and he proves it.
>>736967373>dour and troubled, adoring but has trouble showing it such a kino character type >>736967650I think it started with driving to show how far they have gone already, that this is really a "end of the road" figuratively and literally. >>736967485I replayed the game 4 times (well, at least the first half 3 extra times) solely to get 100%, the save system was quite painful.
>>736967821I assumed David was fucking Ava, and that's why she's his main assistant. He sure acts like he is.
>>736967861That playable flashback to the burning ranch was more enjoyable than the entirety of Season 3Just marching through and capping fags in the head, then retrieving your goofball
>>736967821>she beats him with a single punchS3 is a comedy
>>736967861>"end of the road" The episode is titled "Done Running" for a reason. Clem is desperately trying to find a safe haven for AJ so he can grow up as a somewhat normal kid. She's tired of spending years on the road, she wants to finally be able to rest.>>736968016Indeed. At least executing Badger, Max and Joan feels good. Also purposely making Tripp die in front of Eleanor, fuck you bitch.
>>736968016tbf I would also allow 13yo Clem to mount me like that
>>736968087>haha oh nooo please don't straddle me and yell at me in your sweet teen girl voice, I'd hate that nooo haha
>>736968087You could probably distract her by getting hard. The experience would leave her flustered and vulnerable to you regaining control of the situation
>Look, Vi, you're really cool, and I'm flattered and maybe even a little curious, but the answer is no>I just want AJ to have a normal life. I want him to have a dad, not another mom>I knew a boy in third grade with two moms. He was totally weird and I'm not letting that happen to AJ
>You weren't ever mad at him? But Clem, Louis kicked us out. I don't get it.>I just... I can't explain it AJ. I'm just so confused. Go to sleep.
>>736967485Nah him dying is kino. He puts his beliefs to the test.AJ gets to have his epiphany that there's nothing inside a walker's head when he sees James stumbling blindly around.
>>736963714>turns out gay for no fucking reasonI wanted Clem to date loner JYB.
>>736969657>AJ gets to have his epiphany that there's nothing inside a walker's head when he sees James stumbling blindly around. But he can start to doubt again if he sees Tenn's walker doing the hand thing, and choose to let him go instead of putting him down. I'm never sparing Lilly anyway, fuck that bitch, she'll pay for Carley, for Sophie, for Minerva, for Mitch, for Louis... AJ magdumping her is one of the best moments of the series, and the later confrontation in the cave if handled correctly does force James to realize his trauma-fueled ideology doesn't work.
>>736969756>Clem, I have to show you something>this is a picture of my boyfriend>I like men, Clem>I know I am mysterious, gentle, yet strong, and I have saved the lives of you and your child.>I just thought that you might be developing feelings for me, and I wanted to let you know>there is no point
>>736969756They did it to avoid writing a romance for himIf he wasn't gay, him not being an option would be a glaring omission since he's such a good match for Clem. He lives a life like hers, not like one of those coddled school kids.If they DID bother to write him a romance, that would render all the work on Vi and Louis pointless since no one would pick them if they could pick James.
>>736968881should have called it the Alamo 2 >>736969771I felt like the cruelest thing to do is sparing Lily, that's what I did in every playthrough.
>>736970196She's a loose end, and crazy and petty enough to come back and try to kill some members of the school in a last suicide mission. I wouldn't feel safe knowing she was alive somewhere (and it sucks that Clem will miss all 3 arrows if you choose to shoot at her).
>>736966849>biggest issue with S3 is that too many characters are just shit and disappear from the story with no explanation if you don't kill themThey used the walker invasion as a big garbage disposal to get rid of unwanted characters. And apparently the town square was immediately adjacent to a danger zone crawling with walkers?
>>736967292>More time at the school in general would have been great.Yeah for sure. Fuck that time skip
>>736965439>the runtime of the games is 1>4>2>3Interesting, I'm surprised. 3 seemed to drag on forever
The reason Clem is in such a bad mood in season 3 is because she's on her period
>>736970332In real life you are 100% correct, but in a game setting she'd go away and feel that pain every time she thought about it, remembering everything she lost, and every bad thing she did, and knew she was wrong about. >>736970382it wasn't just a random danger zone, the issue was that a horde had been shambling towards town, and arrived just as the story climaxed. >>736970509desu at this point I would have taken DLC or whatever, just to get a bit more of that bittersweet setting.. maybe just a little story where you play as AJ after the main story is over, doing some random side object that has no real impact for better or worse, and doesn't change canon in any way. it could do a lot to humanise him more. >>736971849lore accurate
>>736972050Yeah for me seeing "Lilly felt: REGRETFUL" was such a good payoff
>>736972050>and knew she was wrong about.I doubt Lilly can truly think she's wrong about anything, at best she'd momentarily feel it then brush it off and go commit more warcrimes. From the very start, she's always been a bitch who wants to be in charge despite being incompetent, all because of her misandrist "muh pushy men in the airforce", she throws a death glare at Kenny in E1 because people actually accept him as a leader "Carley: You got it boss". From day 2 of the apocalypse, she was ready to let children die outside when she could save them without much risk. She was a paranoid retarded freak who wanted to kick out Ben without asking him a single question when he already knew where they lived. Her desire to terrorize everyone is why everyone in the group hates her or is scared of her, she's the main reason Ben was too scared to come out about his deal with the bandits before the raid, and she was the main reason they weren't moving out of the motel when Kenny wanted to. People love to say Ben caused a huge amount of shit, but the one who truly fucked the Motel group and led to so many deaths was Lilly. It's why it's always hilarious when people pretend she was "ruined" in S4, she's always been objectively straight-up evil, just more pragmatic and egotistic evil like Carver than full on sadistic degenerate evil like Badger, but still evil. Lilly is a monster who cares only about herself in the end, as long as she can remain alive, she won't truly regret anything. She'd only feel regret if she got bit and had no way to avoid death.
>>736972451Oh, I had no objections about Lily being bad throughout, but I wouldn't say she became a monster until after we left the motel. It was pretty cool having her appear, of all characters, at that point in S4, and tying into your own choice from S1. It looked like she herself was shocked into becoming the monster when she realised she had just shot Carley, before that point there had always been reasons for this and that within her own head.
>>736972906She wanted to let Lee, Clem, Kenny, Katjaa and Duck all die outside instead of just opening the door, when they clearly could do so with little risk since it's what happened. And she berates Carley for opening the door, and doesn't consider herself wrong at all when she sees the kids. That's monstrous behavior, on day 2 I must say again.Lilly only felt shock because she realized how much she just fucked herself by shooting Carley/Doug, and she still justifies herself with "She couldn't be trusted Lee", right before revealing your secret to everyone in an attempt to save herself even if you had her back the entire time. She truly only cares about herself. Sure she has "reasons", but Carver too had reasons for everything he did.
>>736965179It doesn't matter because Clem is an adult compared to them
>>736971849I can fix her

>>736965453Why did they make her pretty?
>>736970097i also suspect that's why he turns on clementine if you save him from lily although they at least had the decency to be able to have clementine convince him that she is trying with aj, and can leave on disgruntled but not hostile terms
>>736973169one of my favourite moments in s1 is lily trying to get a one up on lee about him being a criminal only for it to turn out that he already told everyone but her about it the face she makes is priceless, like she just found out that everyone thought she was the liability
>>736967565It's a fixed location in the middle of nowhere.>>736967650It was originally planned to be more locations but the budget was so low that they had to make an entire season using assets of two episodes, that's why there's a model of Clementine's house in the present day, one of the early ideas was that she would end up there and the assets were already made but there was no use for them other than using them as the menu for the Definitive Edition.
>>736981020yeah, iirc s4 was supposed to be a road trip journey and ericson's was just the first stopbudget made them downsize, but there were supposed to be more communities clementine & co would meet i know ruby was originally part of a fishing(?) settlement before being reassigned to ericson's

>>736982878I chose the same ending because I believe Kenny wanted it that wayYou can completely skip S3. Clem is a side character to some literal nobodies The entire Clem-relevant parts of S3 are covered in the intro to S4, and in a combat flashback at the end of S4 to between the seasonsI was in your position and felt I should play S3 first and I wish I hadn't. >>736962095>>736963883>>736962018>>736961028That conversation you have with AJ in the cave where you either give AJ permission to make his own decisions or not should have influenced whether or not Clem dies, instead of Tenn (AJ needs Tenn alive IMO). Either AJ mindlessly obeys whatever you tell him to do (let her turn or kill her) or he makes his own alternative choice to cut your leg off. This change is important because this is exactly why Lee died in the first season. He coddles Clementine and refuses to tell her what happened to her parents, he doesn't start treating her like the adult that she has to become to survive.
>>736989385Yeah I 100% agreeCoddle AJ = he does what he's told and Clem diesLet him make his own choices = he thinks of a way out and saves youInstead they performed mental gymnastics so that he always saves you. I guess they didn't want anyone to get the "bad end"It would be very simple to implement. Just end the game when he walks home into the school gate, and that's the "Clem is dead" ending.
>>736989127Who even are these Cloudflare people
>>736985990>that site redesignThat was after TWD S1 released and they reformatted the forums to look ugly and minimalistic. I remember the old Telltale point and click adventure game fans got annexed to a small sub-forum after they were run out by TWD newfags who populated the entire site. Eventually the old fans left for Double Fine, and then the forums for that were soon taken down too.
>>736985045>to fight the forces of gravity and keep her boobs nice and perkySorry anon but bras don't actually work that way. In reality they cause more sag, pic-related.
>>736989606Now there would have been a proper lesbian lover for Clem
>>736989606I recognise that art style...
>>736989697Gabe is gonna be cucked like his father
>>736989494>I guess they didn't want anyone to get the "bad end"I know it was labeled "The Final Season" but on the off chance the series continued they wouldn't be able to bring Clem back in any meaningful capacity if they put in a *chance* of her dying. That's the problem with these games. If a character has the chance to die from one of your decisions, they will likely die soon after to cut off loose ends and railroad players toward the same general story. We saw this with both Kenny and Jane. They don't have the budget of something like the Mass Effect trilogy where a character you saved in the first game (like Kaiden or Ashley) can get a bunch of money and resources put into them to be a companion in the third game even if half or more of the player base will never see it.
>>736990157That's a pity. Too much autism about "importing your save". Just make it so that in a hypothetical season 5, the canon is that Clem lived. Nothing wrong with making one ending canon. Wasn't it possible for Shepard to die at the end of Mass Effect 1?
>>736990129>I'm sorry Gabe, I'm sure you'll make a girl very happy some day.
>>736989779He was genuinely the GOAT TWD artist. Sick fuck made me ship Lee and Clem after all his art and fanfics. He was working on a dating sim set between S1E2 and S1E3 where you'd play as Lee and you could go for Carley, Katjaa, or Lilly. Clem would be unlocked as a romance option if you maxed your stats. The sad thing is that he scrapped everything, including all of his art and his socials after he went schizo over people uploading his art to Paheal and other sites. I managed to save most of the stuff that wasn't on R34.
>>736972451>>736972906>>736973169Remember when the bandits confront the Motel group and Lily sends Lee out to distract? Lee can literally talk them down and get the guy to lower his gun. There was a peaceful solution there all Lily had to do was not shoot. Convince them that you'll continue the deal and give double the supplies, once they leave get everyone into the RV and GTFO.
>>736990264>Wasn't it possible for Shepard to die at the end of Mass Effect 1?Not sure. I don't think so but I know it was definitely possible for you to get all your companions and Shepard himself killed at the end of Mass Effect 2 if you're incompetent enough. The only one who survives is Seth Green (aka Joker) of all people.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRHhdc53Od8"Incompetent" might not even be the right word. I imagine you might have to go out of your way and know what you're doing to purposely fail hard enough to get that ending.
>>736990502Yeah that's the one I was thinking ofI liked that it was possible and they just ignored it for ME3

>>736990589Oh it can't be that old 2019 was only 2-3 years ago, right?
>>736990589>marysuelementineShe starts off as a completely helpless little girl, and eventually her choices are the player's choices so you can turn her into a bitch if you want. On top of that not all the characters instantly like her, she fucks up several times, and she loses a fucking leg.Either way calling a video game protagonist a "Mary Sue" doesn't work the same as in books, TV, movies when you are controlling the player's actions. Look at something like the Elder Scrolls games where you can be the leader of every major faction and the chosen one and somehow the Arch-Mage of the Mage's Guild even if you're a pure physical fighter build that knows practically jack shit in terms of magic. And Master Chief is such a Mary Sue one of his character traits is literally "he is abnormally super lucky". In terms of "Mary Sue" qualities, Clementine is pretty low in comparison to other video game player characters.
>>736956103I hate to bring in political stuff but I am curious, do you think if we ever see Clementine again in video game form, they would bring back the same VA even though she's white (or maybe they already did)?
>>736991897It would be the same VA. Clementine doesn't come across as black enough to need a politically correct black VA.

>>736994550What a shitty move To actually fire people over it
>>736994582What happens in the "David and Gabe both alive" ending? Is everyone on good terms?
>>736994625It's been a while since I played it but I'm pretty sure everyone's chill, although there might still be some tension between the brothers if you convince David to stay instead of leaving.Looking at the endings now, I'm not sure if I maybe ended up with the "go to save David & Gabe by yourself" one instead, where David gets bit & dies while Kate goes missing, presumed dead. Again, it's been ages since I played it and it's not a very memorable game, so I'd have to go back and check.
I want to make her a real mother
>>736994845Nah don't bother checking any further, it's not worth more than a few minutes of time Thanks for the info
>>736994896>Hey little goofball, uncle Anon and I have been talking >How would you feel about having a baby brother?
Season 4 Clem reminds me of Marge SimpsonJust the way actsNo I won't elaborate
>>736994963He would be such a jealous little shit if her attention was ever split in two directions.
We are the Walking Dead
Until next time
>>736985757Yeah it's really good. It has by far the best graphics and gameplay due to being the last one obviously, but even then, it's a good story that's almost as long as S1's runtime, it has a lot of impactful and interesting characters, and meaningful choices. It has a specific ambiance though, that some people like and some will call "cringe", just like S2 is absolute kino for some due to how depressing it is, while others find this aspect too much.I'll always maintain that S4E1 is the best episode in the entire series.
>>736996086The board is kill
I just don't buy it that after seven years of this shit there's still just constant warfare between small gangsThere would be fortified towns with proper earthworks that can hold off a herd or a handful of bandits.
>>736996480>It has a specific ambiance thoughI know what you mean but I struggle to put it into wordsLike renewal or somethingBut also peaceful, like a graveyard
>>736996610There are and we see some but they usually fall to make the characters move from location to location. Richmond from S3 was the only place that didn't fall so there's that at least, Wellington got destroyed by a few bandits but that was plain bullshit. Prescott was my favorite "town" and would have liked S3 more if it was about defending that place. S4 happens in the middle of nowhere but the war that's happing outside that zone is implied to be big, huge communities fighting each other, maybe bigger than the whole Rick vs Negan ordeal from the comic/show
Clem's thoughts on beta blond boys? Haha.
>>736996842Marlon...
>>736996826>Prescott was my favorite "town" and would have liked S3 more if it was about defending that placeSameThat place had character. The bar, the airstrip
>>736996842She likes all kinds of boys, so long as they are funny and obedient and do as Mommy Clementine tells them.Only Lee was allowed to tell Clem what to do, and no man will measure up to Lee.
>>736997139Is criminal how limited the walking sections were, I wanted to explore the whole place and talk to randos
>>736997049I thought they were gonna hit it off, with Brody as her rival
>>736997224C-Clem l-l-likes me...?Ohhhh I need a gentle femdom competent survivor hebe mommy to help my useless ass survive!!
>>736997345>Ugh fine I guess I can let you tag along >Don't mess up or I'll hit you
>>736997491Clem is the best! <3!!!~I'll do my best!!
>>736995189She'd have to wait until he's at least 10 so he can cope. Then she'd be 21. Practically a geriatric pregnancy.
>>736985183There was gonna be a boat that you would sail in and there was the idea to customize Clementine further by having different outfits to choose
>>736997939I'd have made her wear the sluttiest outfit available
>Walking Dead Season 2>Hey Clem, can you help me with this?>Hey Clem, I need relationship advice, what do you think?>"Hey Clem, I think we should do it this way..." "No Clem, we should do it this way..." "Ok, Clem you decide which way".Are they retarded? Why do they need to rely on a little girl for everything?
>>736997939I'd have her wear subtle QoH stuff
Didn't read anythingahemCLEM SEXO
>>736998112Yes, Telltale are retarded. That's why they went bankrupt. They had the right idea with S2E1 where the little girl is struggling on her own But once adults showed up they had no fucking idea how to give player agency without putting her in charge of grown adults Should have given her a gang of kids her own age
>>736998112They knew she was built different
>>736998153>CLEM SEXO
Walking Dead beach volleyball game starring all the girls >Clem all seasons >Minerva >Undead Minerva>Violet >Sarah>Ruby>Lilly>JaneNot Kate
>>736998272They had the right idea in the segment where Jane taught Clem survival tricks that you could put to use through gameplay but that probably should have been something that happens in early in the season
>>736989650How come every native american woman that lives with her tits out have the saggiest saggers to ever sag then?
Clem is fond of skin as pale as milk blonds methinks
>>736998409>Ava>Eleanor
>>736998578She was clearly eyeing up Marlon But that didn't work out at all
>>736998776I am Clem's dream boy but I am unfortunately not real to her, nor she to me.
>>736997324>Hey little girl, what am I supposed to do here?>You can start by getting us a drink. I'll be back in a minuteChoose:2 Lemonades>Clem is annoyed1 Lemonade and 1 beer>Clem takes your beer2 Beers>Clem is pleased
>>736998272>Should have given her a gang of kids her own ageThis was the way. An autist like Sarah, a redneck kid who has a 22LR rifle and a dog, a nerd, one really young kid with a sister who's a bit older than everyone else, etc
>>736990380>I managed to save most of the stuff that wasn't on R34.Can you post it anywhere?
>>736998409Missing best TWD girl Carley
>>736999524I've honestly forgotten her
>>736998840Maybe there's a girl in our reality who is just like Clem
>>736999595If only ...
I like how Jane is obviously a bad influence who would lead Clementine into growing up into a whore, but Clem has no way of knowing that so will listen to her like anyone else.
>>736999648Corrupting Clem into a slut... Maybe Jane isn't so bad after all
Reminder that Clem is a psycho like all the villains>Obsessed with her past mistakes like the Stranger>Ruthless and goal oriented like Carver, thinks the baby is hers and only hers.>Moral relativism like Joan, will kill and steal from others if it means the well-being of her people>Corrupts the people in her care and turns them into killers, the same way Lilly did.
I've read "Clem" so many times ITT that it no longer sounds like a wordIt's just a phoneme now
>>736999765That's super unfairYeah she was a bit that way as a young kid, especially stopping at nothing to get her appropriated child backBut as she grew up she was a calming influence on AJ and taught him how to overcome his anger and not to kill people unless he really had to
>>736999765>thinks the baby is hers and only hers.Well whom else would it belong toBoth parents are deadShe was there from the start
I really want an Apple TV adaption of Walking DeadThey take like two years between seasons as a rule, so the Clementine actress would age appropriately.
>>736999907She did kill the innocent lady that was taking care of AJ in the final flashback, in self defense tho
>>736999821It's pure Delta propaganda, they'll paint her as a bloodthirsty monster for btfo'ing their boat
>>736999765You have to do all that shit if you're going to surviveShe tried to shield "her" kid from that, what more can you do
>>737000009Yeah trueShe was really upset about it howeverPicking up all the bits and pieces including the baby bottle and feeling guiltyUnfortunate mixup
>>737000113God Delta are such jobbersA museum piece paddle boat is a vital part of their infrastructureNo wonder they're sinking to press-ganging handfuls of teenagers
>>736956125She's so funnyhttps://youtu.be/4s8Gu2pvR3M?si=AfrCENN2NVZGX5Y6
>>736999765Imagine a game where you play as a group vs Clem's group and you get to see what a psycho she is
>>737000295LmaoooWhat a cool mom
>>737000381You brought it on yourself by opposing her. Whatever happens is your fault.
>>736998112
>>736982039Being stuck in one place turned out to be a good thing, because it forced the writers to focus on characters and ideas.
>>736998272It'd probably hit a little too close for Telltale at the time but having the player be essentially a side character being dragged along by and caught between multiple groups of incompetent and semi-competent adults might've actually been alrightAnd maybe it would've been corny to go "the kids were the key to the problem all along, the adults were just too busy being stupid" route but it would've been less irritating than what we got>gang of kids her own ageSarah and Becca were wasted potential but that's S2 in a nutshell
So do I skip from S1 straight to S4?
>>737003489>essentially a side character being dragged along by and caught between multiple groups of incompetent and semi-competent adultsYeah they could just move you from location to location without you getting a say. But while you're in each location you're doing kids stuff and in the end you save the day by not being retarded.Corny is good sometimes
>>737003547Nah definitely do S2 after S1. S4 would be too jarring a leap without S2. Too much of a time jumpBut skip from S2 to S4You gain nothing from S3
>>737003547S1 -> S2 -> S4This is the way.
>>737003841I love the concep art
>>737003547Nope, Season 2 is vital for character development. But skip straight from Season 2 to Season 4
>>737003586>gain nothingclem eyecandy
Thanks for the write up OP. I liked S1 and loved S2 so I felt no need to continue as I thought staying with Kenny was the right series ending for me, but I'm glad it sounds like it way still good all the way through.
>>736956103>>736956103lollhyh
>>737007149Lol true
>>737003489Becca gets the role of the tough brat that Clem has to assert her dominance over
>>737000113She killed more people in-between seasons
>>736956125Can you believe the reason Telltale stopped doing the talking and walking segments in most of their games past TWDS1 was because managment thought they were boring and pushed for more cinematic setpieces and wanted to use cutscenes for dialogue? It wasn't until they changed management and tried to do more sections like that for S4.
>>737012816Retarded managerial decisions are the reason behind nearly every one of the original Telltale's failings (and most likely the new one with how much of a behind the scenes disaster TWAU2 seems to be) so that's very believable, yes
>>737013151New-Telltale doesn't even have the old staff, just a handful of people and everything else is contractors
>>737013151>(and most likely the new one with how much of a behind the scenes disaster TWAU2 seems to be)I remember seeing a trailer for that years ago, has there been no news at all since then?
>>736956103My sister made all the wrong choices with Clem when I let her play and I am very upset to the point that I can't look at her as the same person she used to be anymore. What do?
>>737015246Nothing but a few screenshots and second hand reports of them restarting development several times/having deals with different studios to help make the game (Deck Nine, AdHoc) fall through. Last I heard is that they're now supposedly working with an Argentinian studio of all things to get it finished.
Clem's Clam
>>737016338Refrain
>>736956103There should be more sad mom games
>>737017654Kenny's _heh_
>>737012816The only role of management in development should be to tard-wrangle the devs into a reasonable deadline and scope (which used to be around a couple years to 3 years). Any interference in the actual content they produce fucks it up. Also, only Aryan and Asian men can be developers.
