And starting from the 2000's the people doing the dubbing began to misconstrue the success of anime as the result of their ability rather than due to just being a popular emerging media. Western voice acting in general has kind of gone to shit because of all this retarded casting of horrible, untalented diversity hires.Fucking Ada Wong in RE4R is probably the worst offender, genuinely some of the worst voice acting I've heard in a game in the last 15 years, that shit was genuinely on the level of something you would have heard in a slapjob English dub for a random low-budget DS JRPG from 2007.
