is crimson desert 100% ai made and they're just lying about it? there are almost no pictures or in person interviews of the devs and this picture is definitely AI, look at the floor going from concrete to wood like it's painted on
>>
Who cares
>>
No? Ai can't make a game on its own. Especially not a 200+ hour open world RPG with music, voice acting, a cinematic story, a giant map... The most you can do with AI is, like, a Flappy Bird clone

>>736960717

I do. Don't diminish the work of hundreds of people by accusing them of not being real. What the fuck, man.
>>
If AI can make a game this good then the industry is completely washed in 3 years.
>>
Anon you're a fucking faggot, take this hedgehog and shove it up your ass.
>>
>>736960663
I believe it. It plays like it was designed by someone who never played games before, so that tracks. I feel like this is some kind of proof of concept experiment to see how many people ai can trick. Anyone who likes this game may as well be a bot themselves.
>>
>>736961693
>It plays like it was designed by someone who never played games before
Obviously, it's not a game it's an immersive sim, it plays like the real world plays.
>>
>>736960663
The game is a huge asset flip from BDO which existed before AI.
>>
>>736961693
>I feel like this is some kind of proof of concept experiment
this is exactly what i was thinking. if youve played the unpatched version of the game there's just no way those controls were playtested by humans and you couldn't even store items in the main base chest
>>
>>736960663
it's sand because the game is called crimson DESERT. the picture is edited, possible by AI, who knows, back in my day they used to use this program called photoshop.
>>
>>736962512
> Save me, Niggerman, it's a non standard control scheme!
>>
>>736964105
okay but for real being able to store items at your base had to be emergency patched in, i feel like that indicates not one person tested the game
>>
>>736964163
No, I think they were just really invested in the whole "inventory expansions as quest rewards" thing and didn't want to budge on it until they got backlash.
>>
Systems in the game certainly have an AI feel to them. I don't think it is done by AI. But it might as well have been done by AI. They copy things from other games adjust one or two things to make it legally distinct and never put any thought into why original thing worked.
>>
>>736960663
I think a bigger question is why this game of all games is experiencing such unwarranted pushback. It barely even advertised itself, but the western industry is painting it as the most horrible thing ever?
>>
>>736964664
>It barely even advertised itself,
Lol
>>
>>736964726
Compared to AAA games? Yeah, barely.
>but lots of people posted about it
I don't consider your schizophrenia a credible source.
>>
>>736964664
What pushback? That one guy from Arkane praised it. Some other guy from Larian criticized it. Overall sentiment is positive.
>>
I've never seen this game mentioned outside of 4chan.
>>
>>736964783
Game's journalists didn't seem to on the whole, they pretty widely panned it to the point IGN plans to re-review it, there's a whole slew of threads here like this one trying to discredit it in some way or another, which is understandable for this place because /v/ hates video games. It's just that it's such a nothing game from a nobody dev, barely anyone knew it was even being made until a week or two before it released, it's weird to me that it's getting as much discussion as it is.
>>
>>736964761
How much are you getting paid to insult other people you marketing nigger?
>>
>>736964836
Weird thing to say. I've been following the game for, like, two years before it came out.

Apart from that, reviews were good. There's always a bit of a hurdle for new properties that take risks. Death Stranding got a fair bit of backlash too, until people were able to approach it on its own terms. Overall the sentiment is still positive. The average score is still around 8/10.

>Weird thing to say. I've been following the game for, like, two years before it came out.
I said "barely anyone" knew about it, not "nobody" knew about it.
>>
>>736960663
It's just an incredibly mid game. There's almost nothing remarkable about it all
>>
>>736960663
>Release a full price unfinished mess
>Get shilled by the internet just to shit on ign
>Make tons of money
Amazing everyone went full retard
>>
>>736961672
Why do we have to pick up animals like this? I want to cuddle the hedgehog and fox.
>>
>>736965273

I'm not saying that, I'm just saying I felt there was a lot of hype around it because a lot of people were curious about what looked like an incredibly feature rich game with very high production values, made by a developer most people have never heard of and who's never made anything like it before.
>>
0 (zero) days since you faggots cried about this game.
>>
>>736965602
I quote from the Dev Update:
>More summonable mounts and new pets will be added
>>
>>736965561
>gives 2 games that EOS’d a 7/10
>also gave Dragon Age: Veilguard a 9/10
If ign shits on a game, it’s an excellent game.
>>
>>736964836
They do this to good games all the time every year.
>>
>>736960663
When people first saw great constructs like the pyramids in Egypt and Aztecs that baffled their tiny minds they said aliens came down and constructed them

You are that kinda smoothbrain
>>
>>736961471
>Ai can't make a game on its own
It can, you just suck at prompting or are too poor to afford enough tokens.
>>
>>736960663
If you can't tell, it doesn't matter
>>
Have marathon shills actually gotten this desperate?
>>
>>736960663
>Quick, people are saying E33 was made with AI, we've got to distract them!

This game has the worst lighting I've seen in a modern video game. Even UE5 slop looks better than this
>>
>>736966351
Yes it does. I don't want fake art. I want it to be an expression of real people.
>>
>>736967868
That‘s really virtuous and noble of you. It‘s fine, you‘ll change your mind as soon as sentiment shifts and you don‘t get social points for bashing on AI because no one actually cares.
>>
>>736967868
If you can't tell, whether an art is real people expressing itself, or some machine mishmash, then it doesn't really matter does it? Either people expressing themselves is a hollow statement, since you can't notice that, or its true but you're too blind to notice when people are expressing themselves or its machine nonsense.
>>
>>736966570
It's dipping below 15k on a good day, anon. They are desperate
>>
>>736968004
Dude. What do you think I enjoy media for? I don't want shit designed by a committee of hacks in a board room. I don't want shit designed by a machine. I want a creative vision.

Sure we can get into some discussion where "using technology to assist the artistic process" and "using technology to replace the artistic process" starts and ends but that's a separate conversation.

>>736968084

I'm not gonna be so arrogant to say I'd always be able to tell but if that ever became a serious problem I would probably gravitate to smaller projects with more transparency as tonthe creative process behind them. I'm simply not interested in something that isn't made according to an artistic vision. Sure, it's already diluted when too many people work on something but it's still there.
