ohnonono le ebin wholesome gabe could never do this!!
>>
That's based, that'll filter out all the troons out of the ecosystem
>>
honestly that's the least bad thing you could use ai for
>>
He's going to do AI skins for children to gamble on and P Cucks will lap it up.
>>
>valve does something that literally every other company in existence is doing right now
oh my god call the presses this heckin needs to be hearderino!!!!
>>
>>736969818
greentexting on xitter is cringe as fuck
>>
>>736969818
Seems better than hiring jeets who would try to scam you
>>
>daily malding over steam thread
You love to see it.
>>
a lot of systems already have AI as support and it basically is just a list of "it's your problem xx" "press x to continue" over and over until you get to the solution or get a real person.
>>
>>736970517
Nobody likes what other companies are doing either
>>
>implying
Steam Support already uses bots to respond to you. What's the fucking difference? After you get past the bot layer you get a third worlder that misinterprets the rules and sides against you 9 times out of ten. It's not the 10s or the naughts anymore, Valve is a corpocucked company like any other.
>>
I think that in the 17 years that I have had a Steam account I have not dealt with their technical support.
>>
Going to be laughing my ass off on the day Steam uses AI art for one of their sales, going to be a meltdown for the ages on /v/
>>
AI outrage is so performative
>>
>>736969818
keep seething Timmy
>>
>>736970840
>performative
You don't even know what this means.
>>
>>736971126
I very much do and it very much applies to this.
>>
>>736970517
>it's ok if valve does it
like clockwork lol
>>
>>736969818
using chatbots for level 1 helpdesk shit is fine
>>
>>736970840
How is it performative? The entire industry is shifting and putting trillions in something that has not had a single positive benefit for me.
>>
it's funny that troons have become deranged luddites against AI that they're even seething about AI assistants
where were these niggers when Alexa and Siri first came out and people just used them normally?
>>
Anything Valve does AI related will be less destructive to gaming than their lootboxes & knife economy were. Go back to Twitter.
>>
>>736969818
Based, Hoepfully they implement a full agent, not just a dumb chatbot, so that my chatgpt can deal directly with their customer support agent and reach a viable solution for issues.
>>
>>736969818
you already get automated responses by minimum wagies you retard
>>
>>736971181
then you are the one with artificial intelligence, good saar
>>
>>736971246
>it's not ok when valve does it
Cope, timmy.

>>
Only shitskins like AI.
>>
Isn't this the same AI chat help bot that literally every company uses?
>>
>>736969818
It couldn't be any worse than the subhumans that already handle tickets
>>
Tardwrangling goy cattle at "customer support" is what AI was made for. That's no job for a conscious human
>>
>>736970285
Replacing well renown excellent support staff with AI is one of the worst possible things a company can do
>>
>>736969818
Why hire someone when you can replace them with a Wikipedia with no power to do anything that acts as beauracratic red tape? I hate that shit. Useless.
>>
>>736969818
according to reports = we made it up
>>
>20 years of "HECKIN BASED STEAM SUPPORT" shilling instantly vanishes and the cultists immediately pivot to pretending it was all bad jeets the whole time and AI will fix it
Of course, I expected no less
>>
>>736971419
>for me
>>
>>736970517
Lmao valvies can't think 5 minutes ahead just like N-----S
AI is fine anyways but the way valv* acted is/was low
>>
>>736973801
Maybe they'll do like Amazon, like using AI but you can eventually get in contact with a human.

Honestly I'm still more worried about offshoring when it comes to these things. I'm from Spain and sometimes even if sweet I can't understand properly the latinas that talk to me.

Anyway I never had to use Steam support but just once to close an account.
>>
>>736969818
>"OMG LE HECKIN WHOLESOME STEAM SUPPORT IF YOU LOSE YOUR ACCOUNT THEY'LL KILL THE GUY THAT TOOK IT AND GIVE YOU FREE GAMES"
>ERM... ACTUALLY STEAM SUPPORT SUCK. HECKIN GABEO WILL REPLACE THESE RETARDS WITH COOL AI
>>
>>736971246
>>it's ok if valve does it
this but unironically. you lost and got your little pink anus ravaged.
>>
>>736969818
Who is paying leftists to hate gaben all of a sudden
>>
>>736969818
how's that EPIG Games Store going? :^)
>>
>>736973801
You use the AI to filter out the retards begging for refunds after 2 hours because their shitbox 3rd world pc can't run modern games and save the support staff for people with real issues
>>
>>736969818
Cringe if it is another case of western company chasing the AI hype.
Based if using a chinese open-source AI.
>>
>>736974635
This. You don't need to waste your flesh and blood support staff on "did you remember to plugin your computer?" tier garbage.

I hate AI as much as the next guy, but I think I'd rather get an AI reply from Steam Support instead of an Indian that refuses to understand what I'm putting in a ticket about, and then closes my ticket without actually helping me.
>>
>>736970517
Is this a joke? Steamtroons dont really act like this right?
>>
>>736969818
What IQ is required to think that video game polygons are hand made with 100 year old ancient crafted tools and that using AI is wrong?

I'm guessing 95.
>>
>Studio has a relatively small team of nearly 350 people, which as much, only half are destined to attend near 132 millon people. They're clearly understaffed.
>Anon gets mad that they use AI the best way to help them to wrangle all of those tards and not keep hiring to avoid to dilute their solidified workplace.
Anons are fucking idiots.
>>
>>736973801
Gabe needs another yacht, what don't you understand? Don't like it, you're welcome to try Epic Games.
>>
>>736970840
people have always had fear on new technology coming out
This isn't really something new.
Guarantee the next big thing in 10 years will have people shitting their pants in terror
>>
>>736969818
this does not affect me
>>
>>736977641
you have to have the brain of a doe hit by a car to think that’s the problem people have with AI
like
genuinely get it checked out, you might be able to get disability money
>>
>>736973801
>Replacing well renown excellent support staff
lol they suck, it took a month for them to unlock my account after they locked it cause someone tried to log on my account
>>
its unironically okay when valve does it
>>
>>736969818
>according to reports Steam might be doing something
Oh no, better panic right now.
>>736973801
It's over. The reports are according that they might do something. It's the worst possible thing.
>>
>>736969818
fake news
>>
>OMG AI AI AI AI AI AAAAAAAA I NEED MY ESTROGEN
oh no
still using steam, sorry timmy
>>
>>736970285
LLMs are dogshit at support. Other than working as a glorified FAQ (which may or may not give you the correct answer), using AI support just leads to customer frustration and lost revenue.

Don’t care, AI is the future and you just have to accept it.
>>
>>736970752
Steam already has that though. What benefit does AI bring?
>>
>>736969818
Oh no, how could the child gambling pioneer do this! He was le hecking wholesome for introducing gambling addiction in a entire generation!!
Nah fuck him and the steam cancer he create. A two generations of sycophants.
>>
>>736979621
>we already have horses, why do you want a car
>>
>>736979621
they don't need to pay for customer service staff anymore when their AI bot is up and running. they will have hundreds, if not thousands, of third world names to sign off their tickets so steamies will continue to think it's a real heckin basederino valve stafferino actioning their refund
>>
>>736969818
>no you dont understand, its ok when volvo does it, I love AI now, thank you gaben
>>
>>736969818
This will be great doe? I don't get it
>>
gabe is on one of his mega yachts in the mediterannean, he doesnt give a shit.
>>
>>736973801
Actually true. They should know by now that literally no one wants to talk with a robot when you have a problem with your stuff. You always ask for human assistance in the chatbox. If the staff is shit then that's another issue
>>
>>736979935
Yes.
>>
>>736969818
Yeah, that's what AI is good at
You can just ask a computer hooked to the Internet what you want to know or want it to calculate, look up, or explain to you. You can correct any misunderstandings and have it reorganize or follow up with clarifications or make tables of information.
Three prompts and five minutes of reading compared to twenty minutes of googling and skimming multiple sources to reason out complex things based on info in various formats.
AI is only bad for people too stupid to understand when it's hallucinating and why it probably started.
It's almost like talking to a regular dumb person but responds way faster, in detail, with terabytes of source material immediately accessible or pre-studied
>>
>>736970517
The thing people like about Steam is that they don't do what every other dogshit company does
>>
>>736971419
Nothing else they could invest in would ever have meaningful benefit to you because you're retarded
>>
>>736978093
The problem you have with it is that you fear what you don't understand
Anyways two more weeks and the vaxxies die right?
>>
It's a good move. Valve will never stop being hands-on with Steam but having an automated system so you don't have to wait days for replies on simple things like refunds or troubleshooting is a great move. Another genius move by Mr. I'm-Too-Fat-to-Finish-Our-Flagship-Game.
