This is also likely why (for example) you only ever hear about how nice the UI looked and not how slow and generally bad it was to actually use. People countering that the games in that pic are cherrypicked is somewhat valid, but they also aren't mentioning that they comprise a disproportionately high amount of first party releases by virtue of how few games the Wii U had relative to most Nintendo systems or how scattershot Wii U era Nintendo's output generally was both in terms of quality and the frequency with which they released. Currently, you get an average of first party game a month (sometimes more) and you can generally bet that it'll be at least good by any reasonable standard. Then, you were sometimes waiting as many as four months and at the end of it you'd get Game & Wario.Also worth noting as an aside that, with pretty much the sole exception of paid online, virtually every business practice of theirs which people who big up the Wii U era often claim to hate originated there. You would never hear the end of it if they were to release something like Amiibo Festival now.
