You DID play her game, right?
I haven't, how is the gameplay?
>>736982901I've always been curious about it. I loved Bayo 1 and 2. Never played 3 but heard controversial things about it. And this game looks like something else entirely.
>>736982901It was my 2023 GOTY.
>>736982947>>736982997Bayo Origins is quite a cozy game. There's a lot of exploration of beautifully crafted areas and puzzles in them, but when combat does happen, it gets pretty intense as you're controlling two characters. I've heard someone describe it as a twin stick character action game. It's really good and you can feel a lot of love put into it. As for Bayo 3, i mean its alright
>>736982901The ending sequence was so fucking hype. Literally shits all over Bayonetta 3's, and my personal favorite from the series. Game is worth playing just for that, but the rest of the game is pretty fun too.
>>736982901Cozy game. Exploration was really fun. And like the other guy said, the final boss is hype
smolnetta didnt get as much porn as she should have
I wish it was me!!
>>736984846Just gen it
>>736982947It's an absolute dogshit yawnfest and made for 10 year old girls
Combat is pretty forgettable, in my opinion. The novelty of controlling two characters means giving up buttons because your thumbs are both busy. The bad guys are spongy and trigger mashing ends up being as effective as tactical play. All that said, I don't hate the combat, though the combat feels kinda welded onto the game. The backgrounds are vivid and fun. Exploration is great, until it isn't in the late game. Figuring out how to get from a to b stops being fun when the map system is intentionally unhelpful. The puzzles aren't tricky, just laborious. The heart of the game feels like the exploration element, neither the combat nor the puzzles really feel cohesive to the overall. The story is I dunno I skipped past everything I was allowed to, and I wasn't allowed out of nearly enough. Overall, interest game worth the price if you can find it used. It's got issues (and I even left some out) but I like the game. I wish the game elements felt more compatible. Felt like a passion project.
Solid 9/10 game. A real shame the stars aligned to make sure it flopped.
Who's cuter, /v/, left or right?
>>736989769Daria
>>736982901It's brave Platinum redeigned Bayo to look sexy for this game.
Combat is way deeper than I expected for this kind of game. The artstyle is gorgeous, and I actually love this version of Bayonetta. The adult, slutty Bayonetta is fine and all, but this cute and innocent take on her is ridiculously charming. The ending sequence was super cool, too. I was surprised by how many costumes there are and that extra mode you unlock after beating the game. Easy 9/10. One of the best Switch titles I’ve played. It’s a shame it sold so poorly.
>Game has several animations for many actions such as crafting and saving>The animations progressively change and become more positive as the characters relationship gets strongerfucking love this shit
>>736982901I emulated it for 20 minutes then never touched it again. Really beautiful game though, the artstyle really sells the whole loli witch premise.
>>736982901No but I've been playing pic-related recently thanks to a recent PCport and it did make me wish I could play the Bayo spinoff for myself. Am I incorrect for thinking they might quite similar?
>>736989769>Who's tighter, /v/, left or right?i think jeanne might be tighter
>>736993001in terms of art direction, perhaps. bayo origins is still very much a platinum game so youre gonna be doing a lot of combat
>>736993074Didn't expect the combat focus given the artstyle, though I also didin't expect Bayo Origins to be directed by a Westerner. I'll probably emulate someday.
>>736982901I did. I loved the combat, the levels design and the artistry. Legit one of Kamiya's best works together with Okami.
>be tinari>join platinum games because of how much you loved bayonetta 1>eventually get to direct a spin off game yourself with the help of kamiya himself>make a genuinely good game>bayonetta 3 comes out and leaves a sour tastes in the mouths of the general gaming public because of the story>nintendo completely butchers the marketing of the game leading consumers to believe it's some weird walky-talky game instead of a huge 3D adventure game>blizzard shadow drops diablo 4's beta on the release day of your first game from an IP you hold dear (everyone ended up hating diablo 4 anyway)i dare you find a more sabotaged game than bayonetta origins
>Bayo 3 released around the same time, actively rushed abandoning most themes and ideas for the multiverse BS>This comes out and mogs it so hard
>>736982901I did, pretty fun.The game turning into regular Bayonetta combat after learning witch time and becoming a real witch was pure kinohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfquF-U9cMU>when the 0:40 hits

>>736982947Astral Chain if she Metroid. It's great. I need to replay it soon.
>stars a cute feminine little lady>not a single dark skinned characterThis one slipped under the globalist radar.
>captcha still borkedFIX IT MODS>>736982947Astral Chain if she Metroid. It's great. I need to replay it soon.>>736992567Everything about it is incredibly solid. Though the demo was really slow paced and a poor showing.
>>736993001I still need to play this too.>>736992634The game oozes soul.>>736992681Unironically it gets good 2-3 hours in and like 15-18hours long. It's a metrovania anon, you gotta get a few abilities to open it up
The combat is fun and makes you feel like a galaxy brain once you get to the point where you can control both at the same time.
I wish so deeply this wasn't related to Bayonetta. It really barely is connected at all, and everyone skipped it because Bayonetta fags have bad taste and everyone else who skipped Bayonetta thought it'd be cheap. It's so unfair. Genuinely one of the best, most inspired games of the last decade.

>>736982901>expect a throwaway side title>it is actually a hidden gemThe entire game feels like a fever dream. Take everything from the main series except some vague lore and throw it out. Genre? Completely different. Pacing? Completely different. Origins was essentially made to be played in co-op as a dad/daughter.>you will never have a cute little daughter to play the game with then sweat bullets when she finds out there are other Bayonetta games out there and she wants to play those too>>736994282Why was the last boss so hard.
>>736982901I only played og bayo because im not into mood to buy a nintendo console
The fact that the internet didn't drown us in cute hebe Cereza art is the biggest tragedy of this whole thing.
>I'm through asking nicely, anon. Play my game. Now.Wdyd?
>>736982901Sadly no, but I can say the director of the game was based for saving the world's biggest TV.
Bayo 3 is just meh and Viola sucks. Cereza and the Lost Demon is cute and funny kino which Nintendo killed by not advertising it.One of my favorite games on Switch, alongside Astral Chain.
>>737002123>cunny Bayo has a squid fellatio face
>>736982901I didn't, but it did win the "Best Game Nobody Played" award in the 2023's /v/gas, so I should take a look.https://2023.vidyagaemawards.com/winners

I couldn't bring myself to play it after Bayo3I'm still mad.
>>737007780Bayo 3 is not a bad game. Just needs a Switch 2 edition.
>>736982901Played the first one on the 360 (and later on pc again) but all sequels were on systems I didn't own so no.
>>736982901I didn't and I probably won't play her game
>>737008937a performance boost could help at least, yeah
>>736982901>You DID play her game, right?Yes, I 100% it
>>737011230And then shit happened
>>736988805What happened?
the JP dub is much better than the English one, you cant go wrong with Sawashiro.
>>736982901Never playing a bayo game again after the dumpsterfire that was bayo 3.
>>737011425Well first off it is a completely different style of game spinning out of game who people play largely for it's gameplay style. Despite being a financial success bayo 3 had a bit of negative buzz around. The shit with OG VA, Bayo fucking luka in all timelines pissed off the yurifags. Bayo dying in the end and getting replaced by Viola. Plus on the gameplay front demon slave got a mixed reaction. This all had a negative impact on Cereza and the lost demon.

>>736982901I’n gonna be honest, I think this game is shit. I’ve never played it or even seen anything about it, nor do I intend to, I just assume it is. Not for no reason, mind you. The trailer and supposedly the demo did it no favors, it doesn’t look worth full-price, yet all you people rave on about is how good it is. If it was supposedly good then that would’ve shone past all of that, yet i’ve not heard anyone bring it up beyond here and only you fags say it’s good. Lord knows why, I couldn’t surmise a guess, but I think you guys may just have shit taste. If it was good, everyone would’ve said so. But they don’t, because it isn’t
>>736993001Not at all similar besides the tone of the story. This game has 10% the depth of the Bayo game. It's also super short, like 4 hours.
>>737016976I'm not sure I'll ever get the jap obsession with Alice in Wonderland.
Cereza is outrageously cute. (I would post a Cereza if the website wasn't being shit.)But the game was marketed poorly. I remember a lot of people had no idea what it was and didn't realize that>it was a full-fledged action game>it was a full-length game in generalThat paired with Nintendo being weird about pricing and it being undermarketed in general meant it basically got no attention. Most people I know either didn't know it existed or thought it was just like an artsy platformer that would last two hours or something.
>>737017369Imagine being such an utter faggot that you can't just play a game for yourself, you can't even be bothered to look at reviews or any coverage to form an opinion. Instead, you base it off of post frequency on a korean basket weaving forum. This really takes me back, what an intriguing piece of modern retardation.

Thanks for reminding me I still need to finish her game.>felt close to the end after Cereza helps Cheshire in a demonstrably major way>work to collect all the bits and bops around the forest before heading for potential endgame>get hopelessly lost trying to navigate to one on the map>never returnNeed to get back in, fae wild fuckery be damned.
>>736997547>>736997954I'm not a huge cunnyseur but this is literally the only iteration of this character I can find remotely attractive.
I never got around to actually playing Bayonetta. if I have 1 and 2 on Wii U, is that good enough or should I invest in the Switch versions?
I actually just finished it a couple days ago. I enjoyed it a lot, especially when the final boss was basically a regular Bayonetta fight. My one big hangup with it is that navigation is not intuitive at all. I guess they wanted to evoke that feeling of being lost in the woods, but at the same time you end up running around in circles or running into dead ends a lot because it's often not clear how to get around.
Bayonetta 3 was so bad it killed the franchise.
>>737038353Yeah the map was awful. It needed to be a single 3d map instead of these segmented parts. Some paths needed you to take huge detours then what the map suggested.
>upgrade screen music slowly morphs into this whimsical fairy tale rendition of Mysterious Destiny the more you level upNeat.
