thoughts on Chrono Ark? I've played a couple hours and it seems cool but a lot to learn, is it worth getting into more?
>>736985039>thoughts on Chrono Ark?The best of the genre. Genuinely. >is it worth getting into more?Absolutely.

>>736985039Im still looking for a game that also has the self harm gimmick of momori/huz/charon, yes keep playing OP
it's fun enough. idk, i was halfway through the final mission when octopath 0 dropped, and i got wholly sucked into that instead and just never finished it
>>736985039what are some good party comps for noobs?
It felt kinda sloppy to me. Like most games in the genre give you a lot of information to work with to make decisions but in this one there is a lot of % chances and you rarely know the enemy's intentions other than they will act after x number of your actions. Which I guess can be fine since it doesn't have to adopt all the conventions of the genre but I also had trouble understanding what was happening most of the time and how I could be playing better
shield bash my beloved
>>736988491Miss Chain is the basic tank, Pressel is the basic healer. Most DPS will do fine if you have those 2. Then pick up either Azar/Hien/Ironheart.
>>736988998pressel is honestly kind of nutty for her draw filtering, it's hard to find another character who feels better to throw into any comp
the hidden cutscene from beating your first playthrough actually rare or was the bird just buttering me up?
>>736985039It's an excellent card battler with a banger soundtrack and a pretty decent story. Loved it
>>736989081You have Leryn who enables more comps(Ilya, offense barrier Ironheart, barrier+dd for Hien) while being good.
>>736989131Phoenix is the most trustworthy character who has done nothing wrong and has the 2nd funnest card pool(sorry but Momori wins peak fun deck) so don't question them.
>>736989131if you're familiar with deckbuilders from either other vidya or tabletop, winning on your first blind run isn't actually all that impressive. Not like you'll be engaging with the final boss or cranking up the difficulty with blood mist anytime soon. Enjoy the early game, play around with unfamiliar team compositions instead of trying to force the same build every run, it feels a lot more fluid that way.
