Why do people treat a series not being milked into oblivion like it's the worst thing ever.Luigi's Mansion was a fun concept but being completely honest they already stretched it thin by doing 3 games across a relatively long period of time. Not everything needs a regular sequel. Sometimes a concept was cool and it doesn't have to get a new game every five years.

Though of course the other reason is that they just don't see the need to port 3DS games since it was a success unlike the Wii U. But yeah, it's been nearly a decade and people are still holding out for these 3DS ports that are never coming. I realized within like a year or two they're never touching the 3DS catalog

He had the idea of a reboot since Melee, and used Pit in Brawl as a troyan horse to justify to Iwata the financial backing for the project. With that itch pretty much scratched don't expect anything else.
