Timeskip to a time Wright was disbarred was a dumb idea. Making him a Mr. Miyagi type to a new attorney would be fine, but the weird redesign and having him be a loser who was fired over a corrupt handling of a case wasn't a good idea. Dumping on your old characters to promote the new ones doesn't work. Look at Optimus Prime and Ultramagnus. Who even remembers Ultramagnus.
