>>737014997I hate the RE4 remake but REmake 2 is one of my fav games of the last decade.Some people would think I am a hypocrite for this but REmake2 is a pretty neat take on a survival horror while REmake 4 feels like it wants to be both an action game and a survival horror game but its elements are at odds and weaken the end product.Movement and enemy behavior resembles REmake 2 way too much but the game is no longer slow paced, you're now getting attacked from all angles but it feels like the devs didn't bothered to rebalance your movement speed, attack "magnetism" and enemy behavior to account for that and just said "lmao just let them parry" to make up for that.The weapons also feel pathetic until you upgrade them considerably. Even Mercenaries mode agrees that the inconsistent stagger was retarded.The worst part is that I can see this working if the devs bothered to add the dismemberment of REmake 2 to REmake 4 by making stagger inconsistent BUT giving you a bigger reward (destroys the ganado's limb) but we just ended up with a system that feels less satisfying than in the original.
