All these PvP games release, nobody really plays them and they shut down in two weeks. Why bother?

Outside of the possible AI sloppa, the trailer wasn't a huge red flag fest. Concept/twist on CTF is nice, but not "OMG OMG OMG GOTTA PLAY"/instant download for me.

I played Deceive Inc and Wildgate during the last few years. I thought both were very fun games but they couldn't find any audience and just winded down pretty quickly. Video games have a serious product design issue these days and developers need to stop releasing these multiplayer service titles that have no hope of finding an audience. It doesn't matter if your game is good if it isn't necessary.

With how many competitive games that are coming out with the same cast of relatable and quirky characters, you have to ask yourself why your audience would choose your game over other games, or why you would play it every day. It's the same philosophy as "retail space" for your storage that CoD, WuWa, Fortnite and ARK can take advantage of, but with time instead. People who play F2P or gacha games would have trouble fitting in TONS of games because they all have varying times on how long their dailies, weeklies and grinds would take. Why should I waste my time playing a CTF shooter with mediocre cookie cutter characters, when I can spend my time playing a different shooter or god forbid, a single player game? People most of the time aren't like "Haha look at that game dying", but rather "Oh that's like the video game crash when fucking Quaker Oats put out Atari slop by themselves."

There's more to it than that. Any game that's a team-based online-only multiplayer shooter with dogshit character designs deserves to be called a Concord. Especially when there's no chance of it making any sort of profit, which is definitely true for this game.

And I'm sure they have asked themselves that question, many times, even before production began. And they still made the game the way they liked. So now what?

There's room for more games on the market, for every niche, and it even makes sense to target smaller, less saturated ones. Not everything has to "the next Minecraft", or whatever.
