>Sir, another concord flop has hit the store400 players rn
>>737016371i played the demo, felt bad for them. it feels like an honest attempt at making a fun game, but it's just not fun. it doesnt *feel* good to play.feels slow, feels unpolished, it's a shame.the ctf concept is fun as hell
>>737016371What is it with modern games and the most dogshit Tumblr character designs imaginable?
>>737016371
>>737016431Do not feel bad at all. They're so fucking retarded to think they would make a successful product or at least a profitable one but no.
>>737016371at least it's ctf instead of generic arena shooter.they didn't have to dig themselves into a particular niche though. leave room to branch out
>FIRST THINGS FIRSTWELCOME TO LAST FLAG
>>737016371what's actually unique enough about this to make it worth playingisn't that literally just a standard CTF game mode already present in 100x arena shooters
>>737016371More like Last Fag
>>737016371Weren't the girls here moderately cute?
That guy on Twitter talking about how all those studios in California were making the exact same game seems to have known what they were talking about.Like holy shit, how many mid-and-above budget multiplayer only hero shooter but X genre have released or been revealed in the past few years? It is insanity at this point to keep producing them.
why do the characters in these kind of games always look the samelike, it's not just bland, it's a specific kind of bland
>>737016371More pvp slop. RIP
>>737016673it only takes one big hit to make the decade(s) of gambling losses worth it to them
>>737016703"artists" just derive from shit they find on google now rather than being inspired by world experiences and hands on research.
millenial type game
>>737016462he's right. you just know, as soon as you see a young black woman with nappy hair and european facial features
>>737016371all the concord likes must release this year
>>737016431https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVEmpTWV7Mw>>737016371>400 playersThat's part of the reason I didn't bother to download it.All these PvP games release, nobody really plays them and they shut down in two weeks. Why bother?Outside of the possible AI sloppa, the trailer wasn't a huge red flag fest. Concept/twist on CTF is nice, but not "OMG OMG OMG GOTTA PLAY"/instant download for me.
I played Deceive Inc and Wildgate during the last few years. I thought both were very fun games but they couldn't find any audience and just winded down pretty quickly. Video games have a serious product design issue these days and developers need to stop releasing these multiplayer service titles that have no hope of finding an audience. It doesn't matter if your game is good if it isn't necessary.
>>737016703its the kind that doesnt appeal to anyone

>>737016462>"Why do you care about its success"With how many competitive games that are coming out with the same cast of relatable and quirky characters, you have to ask yourself why your audience would choose your game over other games, or why you would play it every day. It's the same philosophy as "retail space" for your storage that CoD, WuWa, Fortnite and ARK can take advantage of, but with time instead. People who play F2P or gacha games would have trouble fitting in TONS of games because they all have varying times on how long their dailies, weeklies and grinds would take. Why should I waste my time playing a CTF shooter with mediocre cookie cutter characters, when I can spend my time playing a different shooter or god forbid, a single player game? People most of the time aren't like "Haha look at that game dying", but rather "Oh that's like the video game crash when fucking Quaker Oats put out Atari slop by themselves."
>lel every multiplayer game even indie games are lel concordConcord literally means nothing
>>737016769Posts a zoomer
>>737016371How do you know how much it cost to make?
>>737017149Yeah that's why the dev should care about the success, why should you a random nobody who gets nothing whether the game succeeds or fails and isn't interested in playing it care?
>>737017258it's the newest gaming genre, twenty years from now there will be /v/ flamewars over whether the next AAA wokeslop is a concordlike or merely a concord-lite
>>737016371Why do these retards trying to get into the industry start with a multiplayer game that requires a playerbase to actually work? Start with a singleplayer game and establish a name for yourself first you fucking retards
when will people learn that>concordmeans>extremely high budget game expected to be colossal hit but instead is a catastrophic flopand isn't just>unsuccessful game
>>737016371>$10who the fuck would pay $10 when gooner bait and popular slop are free
>>737016703>>737016760Seems like an argument in favour of using AI, if your artists are going to be creatively-bankrupt anyway.
>>737019896There's more to it than that. Any game that's a team-based online-only multiplayer shooter with dogshit character designs deserves to be called a Concord. Especially when there's no chance of it making any sort of profit, which is definitely true for this game.
>>737016371haha concord! Slop!! my zoomer humor is great for real for real Im cooking rn
>>73701989610 bucks it's faggots trying to dilute the termop has been trying to force this on last fag for some reason
>>737016873Ya. I bet there are a ton of these games in dev hell for over a decade or so and the failures is forcing them to publish anything and pray.
OH THE MISERY
>>737017149>you have to ask yourself why your audience would choose your game over other gamesAnd I'm sure they have asked themselves that question, many times, even before production began. And they still made the game the way they liked. So now what? There's room for more games on the market, for every niche, and it even makes sense to target smaller, less saturated ones. Not everything has to "the next Minecraft", or whatever.
>>737016371I have concorde-like fatigue
