>>737019671BNW is closer to a remastered version of FFVI. Biggest changes is that they reverse engineered the code and made esper levels seperate from normal levels. That way you can allocate esper level bonuses at your own convinence. The biggest rebalance change is that each character can only use specific magicite. So in the end the characters will have a few different build directions to go in with their esper bonus availability. making everyone a magic nuker at end game is no longer a thing. Applying status effects on bosses helps a lot more. Stats are redone so that physical characters can scale to end game. dump stats like Stamina reworked into niche stat such as scaling certain things like some of Sabin's blitzes and regen effects.It used to have a dogshit 13-year old level translation baked into it. but thankfully someone came out with a vanilla translation patch.If you're looking for new story, new monsters, new chars, etc. BNW isnt for that.

Only one that was ok was Final Fantasy 6 T-edition. It's pretty retarded with bosses countering unless you use a specific attack. The script is greatly improved, I'm not sure if that is taken from a later regular version. The story itself is the same. I had to restart because I got to the river too low level for Banon to survive the scripted attacks on him; and I had to redo the phoenix cave because I didn't have Shiva equipped.Also fixes Gau by letting him learn rages anywhere and get turns to change them. Same with Mog dances.Worth a try if you've already played the original a bunch of times.
