No exaggeration, I started maining tank for the past 3 weeks and the hate and abuse I've gotten was insurmountable. At first I was just assuming it was normal overwatch stuff, but it was constant in every match. The instant I make a mistake I get attacked. In the beginning I argued back and got into wars in text or voice chat. But with tank I was in fights on PSN or Xbox. It's hate mail everyday. It piled up so much that I was demoralized and defeated going into every match. I legitimately feel depressed when I play tank now. I don't argue anymore because I lost the ability to. I'm just reading the hate and absorbing it. Now it's any game I play I'm unable to defend myself because I was yelled at so much.

Tank is completely awful because it's the only role still intended to actually be competent, if your support sucks ass, it's your fault, if your DPS sucks ass, its your fault.

I play 6v6 ranked and don't have this problem. Also, just mute voice chat or mute the person specifically the instant they whine without hesitation. The tools are right there. Just use them.
