Stained and will completely remove its ability to reach younger and newer audiences. Thats what happened with the official HD retail version of this. Its basically the best you can do with it without having any of the original code. It's not bugged like the new remasters though. Thats the appeal of that HD mod instead. The downside is you only get 1080p resolution whilst newer remasters support 4k and higher. But its broken so it doesn't matter anyway.
