Last time I remember, old dragon nest was not a gacha, but the old p2w "buy upgrade materials that has 0.0000001% of success" model. You can still play all characters/classes simply by choosing it as your class and you can have a lot of charracters.
That DN2 got turned into a gacha and it got fucked up is karma getting up it's lazy ass and doing something for once.

Presumably they had a butt load of content ready for the gacha to drip feed so that might not actually be a bottleneck. 3D gachas are just like that because obviously it takes a lot of time and effort to make and release content on a consistent schedule Probably a lot of those 6 months wouldve been spent reworking systems
