it depends. if someone is insistent on having a specific kind of run or playthrough then whatever, sometimes you just gotta savescum

that said, for stuff like RPGs etc., i've always found it more immersive to avoid it.

I think if a game has keybinds for quicksave and quickload, they tend to expect you to be using them constantly, and I don't ever feel bad about it.
