It's been nothing but a continuous decline for Playstation in Japan since the PS3, the trend is irreversible and the brand is in a death spiral much like Xbox is globally. Now many of those 3rd parties are scrambling to port their games to Nintendo platforms in the hopes that they can regain relevance in Japan, which makes things even worse for Sony who historically have been completely reliant on 3rd party companies like Square or Capcom.
